After another Ur fight in which it only used Holy Furor once, I thought to myself, isn't there a tome that casts it?

There is. And it doesn't wipe your stamina like it does when cast as a MK.

I wonder if I have any in storage. It would be ideal because it wouldn't stun me or my pawns...

Sweet!! I have never used that tome (since I used a lot of them for upgrading the Ur-Dragon weapon drops) in battle. Have used some of the others (when I have forgotten to bring someone with magick, or set Ulee/Ari with it, and run into Spectres/Spooks/Ghouls/Ghosts....lol. Am I getting that right?? Sorry, just channeling Ghostbusters a little  ).

I think Ulee has a bunch of them. Let me know if you need some sent to you. :)

Bugger, bugger!! It's a BBI item. DUH! I can't gift it. :pinched:

Curse you DD:DA, and barring me from gifting BBI stuff. :P

**EDIT**

The UR already finished out?? It had most of its health bars when I played last night. But I just got on, and went to fight and my "reward" was waiting for me. Already! That UR went down quick.

Oh well. *shrug* Got two Lambent shields, a Dwells-in-Light, and a set of Heaven's Keys.

I'll go sleep, then come back.....still want better snapshots. ;)

Yeah, my "contribution" (seriously, I did nothing) was rewarded with two ferrystones and a taglius' miracle. There may have been some coins.

I'm still fighting the same ur I was during my last post. Yes, the ten minute session is now approaching an hour. But oh my. You just wait.

Only 4 people killed the last Ur, it must have been at some crazy hour when it died. You and I are still on the board.

...With two arisens named Valkyrie and Chase.

So the surging light tome is a bust, it makes your whole party glow yellow, kinda like a taglius/salomet effect, which I don't like. I wish it didn't do that, as it's absolutely perfect and lasts for ages, unlike the Ur's which is pretty much over right as it begins. Or at least it seems like that.

I took Quintin and Gabs for the first round. I have to keep reminding myself not to face a warrior's arrow on the minimap, because they're facing their right as they run. Quintin was a little tricky to get a shot of, but I managed to get this one as he took a break from smashin'.

Spoiler

I forgot that Gabs was wearing a pawn-heal buffed Boots of Oblivion, I usually give her different boots but I forgot this time. Here she is right after the Ur flew away.

Spoiler

For the second round, I had Castor and Zihark. Castor was surprisingly easy to snap photos of.

Spoiler

Then we had the pair of them, Zi and Castor, both casting comestion right on top of each other.

Spoiler

Here's Shinon asking a floating rock some hard-hitting questions

Spoiler

And I'm sorry, but when I get a shot of Shinon's eyes looking directly at the screen, I have to keep it. I love those eyes.

Spoiler

Round 3 was the pawn of a guy that hired Barnaby from the pawn community, her name is Sarah.

Spoiler

With her, I took everyone's favorite pawn.

Spoiler

There. Was quite a fun night, I really should get back to the Everfall with Zi soon though.

Really, I could quote every single one of those shots LOL They're brilliant. My particular favorites: Shinon and the rock ("What can you tell us about BBI?" "....") and lounging Quintin.

Here is Syril, a rogue sorcerer...he reminds me a little of Anders and a little of Savan, just don't call him 'Savanders'. I'm having trouble deciding which cloak fits him best because I kind of like them all:

A.) Magnanimous Cloak OR B.) Dignified Cape OR C.) Direwolf Cape

Which looks best?

Now for the pawn sharing, the following are all in my pawns from various XBLAccounts...you may call me crazy, or a serious DD:DA addict and you'd be right on both accounts...the arisens are based off of friends of mine which inspired the various names of my gamertags. All of my pawns have unique backstories and personalities outside of Dragon's Dogma (a personal fantasy work of mine from which I imported them) so they are quite detailed. Pawn's names are below, gamertag in parenthesis.

Spoiler

Well there you have it, it may be a lot of pawns but DD:DA, like Dragon Age is all about having choices and I like to have all of the options open to me (and my friends ;) )

@Aedan - Very nice pawns! Wow....that is a lot. I had to giggle a bit; I do the same thing in DA and ME (make a thousand different characters to play around with :D ).

I am partial to the Direwolf Cape and Dignified Cape, but the those more "boney" style outfits, I would choose the Direwolf (or the Heritic Cape, if you have it).

Might as well add my own roll call of three (two for the Xbox and one for PS3):

Chase Hunt (the last name came about because he was desparate for Shinon to give him some "reporting" jobs ;) )
XBL: FlattestFlea726
Level: Infinity
Vocation: Maxed in all vocations
Current Vocation: Ranger
Augments: Clout, Vehemence, Adhesion, Opportunism, Sinew, Damping
Skills: If I can remember...Thousand Kisses/Advanced Trigger/Dazzle and for bow: Tenfold/Endecad Shot/Spiral Arrow
His armor and weapon change frequently, depending on how I feel, though he uses Revanant Wail and Framae Blades most often.
Inclinations: Scather/Challenger/Utilitarian/Mitigator (any of those mixes....though it has been some time since I set him for Mitigator).
ur3_zpsf16e3290.jpg

Castor
XBL: coldwetn0se
Level: 102 (I think)
Vocation: Maxed in all vocations
Current Vocation: Mage
Augments: Attunement, Acuity, Articulacy, Gravitas, Inflection, Sinew
Skills: Change them often, but I always have at least one ice, lightening, and fire spell. Depending where we are currently fighting, I will switch things up though.
Armor/Weapon: Same as with Chase. Change it as I feels. ;) Though he is currently using the Dominion Claw and Carrion Mantle.
Inclinations: Usually a mix of Challenger/Scather/Utilitarian...they get switched around.
bros16_zps92b1a782.jpg

F!Chase (yes, my very first pawn on the PS3 was named Chase, but female. I switched to the xbox when I found that just about everyone I knew that played this game, played on the Xbox. heh!)
PSN: coldwetn0se
Level: somewhere around 150. Been a while since I played with her.
Vocation: Maxed in all vocations
Current Vocation: I "think" is Ranger, but she is more magick heavy...she not very well made. Not really balanced, and not a glass canon either. *shrug* ;)
Augments: same as male!Chase (I suspect)
Skills: same as M!Chase
Again; swap outfits and weapons to suit my needs/tastes/preferences.
Inclinations: Utilitarian/Scather
ghj11_zps2fba11ab.jpg
(don't have many screenshots of her...poor ignored elf. :D )

It should be noted, that a few of us do have a tendency to play around in the CC with our pawns (and Arisens). But we generally always go back to the original design.

--------------------

On another note. Fought the online Ur a couple of times yesterday, trying to get better shots. Shepen, I swear; I GOT WORSE! :pinched: I just couldn't seem to get in a good position to save my skin. I will post the few shots I have later, but they really do stink. However, I will try again, by-gum!

@Shepen - those shots are fantastic! Castor loves casting Frigor on the Ur, and since it is a fairly quick spell, he can be one of the easier pawns to screenshot. (not sure what good Frigor being a quicker spell has to do with it, but...*shrug* )

I too always save pictures of Shinon when he stares directly into the camera. I can't help myself. Bri is good for that too, due to her two eye colors. Some of the others do love to show their profile (I'm looking at you Zihark, Thomas and Arya  ).

@Shepenwepet - that last shot of Rook - he just looked in ecstasy there amongst all that Holy Furor! Thinking about your comment about the pawn community, I must confess I've hardly been on there, but I shall pay a visit this weekend to boost the Xbox profile. I hope I can remember how to link in the screenshots

@Aedanstarfang - there's nothing wrong with being a DD:DA addict :D! We all love it so much in this thread.

You have a lot of pawns! I shall have to write your XB gamertags down so I can take some out (I am thenewschmoo)!

I only have the one pawn (Thomas). He is around Level 118 (I think), but I really need to start building his levels up. He wants to be an Infinity pawn when he grows up. He seems to prefer being a strider (scather/challenger mix). I do have another pawn, but he is on the PS3. He's my baby pawn!

@coldwetn0se I like them all but I agree on liking the Direwolf cape best, it goes better with the Votary's robe. Also it's funny, even though he's using voice 1/Troy Baker I keep hearing Adam Howden/Anders' voice whenever Syril speaks  :D

EDIT: Also I am editing Liana's face - I found a wonderful preset face that looks like Bea Arthur in character edit mode.

I never had much of a chance to play yesterday, I got home late and then slept for about 12 hours. Before sleep overtook me, though, I found this fella in the Everfall. I wanted to take him into Character Edit and enlarge his eyes by about 100%, but hey, he's certainly recognizable. The stance and outfit is spot on, too, considering you don't have much to work with.

I have to start looking into these presets. I don't think I ever have, at least not recently.

Just a heads up if you use Firefox - the screenshot upload doesn't seem to work with it. I switched to Chrome and it worked fine.

@Shepen - GAH!!!That is awesome. :D I shyte you not, this is what Chase originally looked like (yes, I tried to make him look like Fenris). And I DID set his posture to "slumped". LOL! I was never really satisfied with how he looked though (even tried the facial hair trick, like I did on pawn "Thane", to give him the white tattoo look on the chin....blech). Eventually, since I didn't feel like I was doing him justice, I decided to make him into something new. Hence, the Chase you all have come to know.

Even though Chase did look very similar to this persons version of Fenris, I think they did a better job on the face. Great find! :)

Didn't get a chance to play either, yesterday. Had a hike planned for today, but the weather turned crummy. So time for more practice with the Ur-dragon photos. Will probably switch to Ari/Castor, and change the "roll call".

@Shepenwepet - Canada is a very dangerous place  :D!  What with it's 16 bits and everything.  Jimmy and his big horn will forever be my favourite!

You must have had a very busy day yesterday, that resulted in 12 hours sleep!

I must confess that I am not the biggest Fenris fan ( ).  As such, my Hawke has never romanced him (you're probably going to tell me I am really missing out)  But the creator of the Fenris pawn has done a stirling job.  The whack he has given that Vile Eye, he has a lot of strength!

Thanks for the advice re Firefox and the pawn community.  I tend to mainly use Google, only because IE just really annoys me . So I have stopped using it.

I really must go to bed, I have spent far too long uninstalling/re-installing Dragon Age Origins on my PC it has done my head in.  That game causes me problems (I still love it though).

I'm actually not that much of a Fenris fan myself, but I am a fan of Gideon Emery. As for missing out, I honestly don't remember much about DA2, the only clear memory I have is Fenris saying "You led him here". It sounds delicious in my head, but I have no idea who he's talking to or who "he" is.

I will probably have to play DA2 again. I tried several months ago but quit almost instantly. I was trying to pause and take screenies every five seconds.

He was talking to Varania about Denarius during his companion quest "Alone". I like that one because at the end I get to tell him to "suck it up" more or less after he mopes about having no one (take that for being mean to my Merrill!)

A blight on all ye miscreants, who have no loveth for the Fenris! *curse*

Huge fan of Gideon, but I have three pixelated BW crushes; Thane, Fenris and Zevran. *slap with leather glove....never mind that it is actually a dishwashing glove. Hmph!* So yeah.........where was I??

AH! Stick of Truth! *snicker* I love this game. To anyone who hasn't played it, but enjoys South Park; PLAY EET! I had a blast. And it isn't a terribly long game, so you don't feel "tied" down to it. (don't misunderstand: I truly appreciate a really long game, but it does need to be something I can get either completely immersed in, or can step in and out of - like Dragon's Dogma - with ease. ;) )

As for DD:DA, been playing with Ari and company today. Mostly fighting the online Ur-Dragon. I finally got a "few" decent screenshots. But seriously....why am I no getting good??

Ah well. I will post my attempts tomorrow. Just finishing up a few things, before I head to bed.

Think dreams of a Thane/Fenris/Zevran triple decker, is called for tonight. Damn....I need help. *chuckle* ;)

I misread that like six times.

Yeah, the only character I 100% enjoyed in DA2 was Varric, but I didn't overly dislike anyone. They all had their moments.

I missed grace, which I was actually kinda glad about, because I could then focus on sharing. Sharing is caring. I didn't get much, it seems like it's becoming increasingly harder to get decent Ur shots. This one of Chase in a holy furor looks so washed out I almost didn't keep it. :(

Speaking of trying something new (or at least new to him) Zihark purified a bunch of BBI armor last night, it resulted in a Sovereign's Mantle, a Cursed King's Belt, and Boots of Oblivion. This morning he got Alynna's gift, another BBI armor. He got the Gauntlets to finish out the look.

The game wanted it, it seemed. Four items of clothing in a row. Who am I to deny the Isle's wishes?
