^And I've already forgotten to look into MK. I really should.

I'm currently messing about with black and white group photos using the Great Sacrifice bug. Rook managed to eke his way through being one of the two pawns sacrificed, so I pulled him along for the group photo. I'd only gathered Castor, Briana and Zihark when this happened.

BWAHAHAHA!

I completely forgot about the B&W pictures, with Great Sacrifice. Very nice!

I am going to just play around with all the skills/spells that MK has, that I haven't used yet. Since I am still trying to max out the vocation, I'll just jump into the Everfall and try them out. I may not be back at it though, until tomorrow night. Lots of TV to catch up on this evening, and then I have heavy work continuing from last week. Probably won't slow down till after Wednesday. :P

Funny you guys should mention MK because I was considering making this my MK Arisen :D I already have a MA and an assassin Arisen, and yes, I know we can switch vocations and such, but I guess games like DA ruined me because I still think of my characters as a certain class. For instance, Arya is my warrior and Seel is my sorcerer. Just the way it goes. Kelly is shaping up to being sword and board, but of course he's going to play and max out every class. I'm also going to try for the more "even" approach instead of being heavy in magic or combat.

But yeah, my Arisen will be building up strength then switch to sorcerer and build up that magic! MK level 100+ here I come :)

Okay, I equipped Ruinous Sigil. I think I know why I forgot what this really is good for. When beast run up on to the circle, where the sigil was applied, the get knocked on their asses. The have damage, plus are staggered. Makes them easy pickings. ;) Now I should admit, I didn't manage to try this out yet, with any beasties of a decent size. So, I guess I just need to try it out in BBI. The Everfall is just too many small fodder or Big Foes. <_<

And now I am back to using the "trick"......need more ranks in vocation. :P

@Shepen - You feckin' beauty, you! That lvl.3 weapon, purified to Sanguine Stalk. :D

I switched out of MK, for a moment, in the hopes of getting it DF'ed. Prematurely switched Castor to Sorcerer as well (gave him back the Hallowed Dragon for now). So very happy. Need to remember Rancid bait meat.

@coldwetn0se

Ruinous Sigil is good for defense, I guess. Cast three great cannons in the middle and you can basically hit away without fear, while any enemy who gets close gets knocked away. It helps that the Sigil has a quick casting time and I think you can summon up to three at a time to keep it running. The more bigger enemies don't actually get hit back though and simply take damage inside the Sigil (and they also exhaust it quickly as a result).

Personally, I don't think it's very good for BBI for that reason as most enemies (at least after defeating Damion for the first time) just take a slight bit of damage from it and are immune to being knocked back by it. The vortex spell is pretty useless, unless you combine it with the Sigil spell to draw in the light weight enemies to take damage.

Since I'm not overly-dependent on ranged attacks anymore, I bet I could actually get somewhere with MK now. I've never really tried it out, except to grind for augments and skills. I might look into that tonight.

I'm almost afraid to look.

Let's see... Alynna has 23142 enemies slain, the biggest chunk of that is humans, with 3143. The next biggest is leapworms with 1897.

Only 7 metal golems and 7 griffins. Also only 2 of each kind of hydra. For dragons I've got 59 dire drakes, 41 dire wyrms and 32 dire wyverns, with 102 cursed dragons.

Only 24 giant saurian sages. 183 regulars.

I remember late last year looking up how many maneaters I'd killed for some reason and finding it was around 70. Now it's 182.

I think I have over 1000 leapworms killed. They should have stopped spawning them after defeating Damion for the first time. They're just so annoying.

@Eternal - I would concur with you, in regards to Ruinous Sigil. It works fine on smaller adds that swarm, but doesn't do much for the bigger foes. It could be fun to try the Ruinous + Vortex, around a bunch of hobgoblins.

Forgot that I was going to look up my kills stats on both Ari and Ulee, but......um forgot.

Grabbed a couple of action shots from last night. Tried to capture some of the unique MK moves. I know I took one of Ruinous Sigil repelling a Direwolf, but it didn't show up in the FB album. But, I did grab shots of the magic canon and Sky Dance, along with a couple of pawn shots.

Hello guys, I know I haven't really posted much recently, but I'm not really satisfied with any shots I get. I need to max out a few classes before I can feel good about switching to assassin, sigh. Well, I should be going to AD soon with Seel and Rohan, so hopefully will get some good shots then. It sucks to have to type in my email addresses again though, boo.

As usual, thanks everyone for all the cool stuff you've given Kelly  ^_^ I think he and Kael change outfits several times each time I play lol It's so fun. Oh, and interestingly I encountered something I never encountered before... some weird circle in the back of the ... monastery... nunnery... ABBEY! Yes, abbey. With a statue in the center. It was kind of creepy! (Of course I nabbed the statue)

Anyway, have a randomly bad pic of Kelly performing some move, with background!Shinon looking annoyed at being all dark-ish and not in the spotlight and having to follow this noob around:

I haven't been to the abbey in ages. I should go check that out tomorrow.

I have some really nice shots of our crew but I can't post them with this stupid pad I'm using. Every time I've tried to post shots with it they end up disappearing and I don't know why.

Tomorrow for that as well, I guess.

I fought the Dark Bishop today and dragonforged a zero-starred Boots of Shadow. AND he dropped a Bane Archistaff, not a weapon level 2, an actual Bane Archistaff. I've never had that happen. I've never had either of those things happen.

Wow... glitch? I didn't think DF'ing without stars could happen unless it was Mr. Girgori himself.

Maybe Dark Bishop is just plying you with gifts, begging you to stop killing him. I mean damn, dem kill stats! It's kind of scary to see how many critters we've slaughtered in any playthrough. It must particularly break Ulee and Chase's hearts when they see how many saurians have bitten it :P

Oh my lordy, @Shepen! Love these snaps. First, your B&W of Alynna and Rook: bootiful! And it has never even OCCURED to me to try and take pictures underwater. :o I am so doing that. Oh yes.

As for the "death by nether-region".....

Hmmm....my guess is simple. Castor learned it from Chase, and Chase (I suspect) learned it from a very old pawn rental of Ulee's, named Bear. He was a nearly perfectly round, bearded, dwarf-type pawn, who was the first Ranger she ever hired. He was awesome. I think based on the way he was shaped, combined with the skill set he had, he used a "pelvis thrust" action quite often. Perhaps he passed on some hidden secrets/talents, that could cross vocations, and BOOM! Devastating crotch skills were born. ;)

At least, that is my guess.

Capcom should hire you for the promotional images of the next game. Many of your shots are quite professional and you don't even have free reign of the camera. Oh God, that Rook image...

I can't help but always think of Nicolas Cage now whenever I see him and it's all down to this comic:

I haven't played in a few days but I'm hoping to play soon.  I did start a new Arisen before I went to bed last night and saved it to a flash drive.  Thanks for letting me in on that btw ;)

I went in the rift to get my pawns at the encampment and only high levels showed it, it's pretty funny.  Me and my little Zio running around with Briana and Seel.  I'm trying mage on her and made Zio a fighter.  I think we're only level 9 or something though.  I tend to keep pawns all the way through my game, is that okay?  Or should I be releasing them every night?  Is there a protocol for that?

I tried doing bbi again last week and got stomped by a condemned gorecyclops.  Ouch.  The embarrassment  .  Better luck next time I s'pose ;).

Edit:  Does anyone know if they're going to make a 2nd DD game?

Nahh there's no protocol. The pawns are at your service, Arisen! :P I like to release them just to see their new outfits lol Seel changes clothes and armor every couple days. He's never satisfied! He changes class, too. His time is limited though. I'm feeling the urge to bust out Arya and Dai.

Glad to read that you were able to set up another Arisen/pawn. ;) One thing that I should warn you on (and those that have multiple playthroughs with thumbdrives on one account, versus those that just make new XBL accounts, and start another game, can give you better advice), is that when you switch between the two play throughs, sometimes what you gift to other pawns may turn into "rocks". Again, I will let those that have done this trick, explain further, since I chose to just make another XBL account, to start a new game.

As for pawns. I admit, I have never known anyone to only use one set of pawns (rentals) for an entire play through. Most switch around, especially if they are looking for balance, or they are on a task/quest, that is best suited for a certain type of vocation. (like you know ranged players would be better suited due to flying enemies, or a number of melee pawns because you are going after Golems....just a couple examples.)

If you wish to gift any of your rental pawns, or want their owners to receive the Rift Crystals that they earn while spending time with your Arisen, you do need to release them. You should also rest at least once, before picking them up again.

I personally like to switch it up for fun and snapshots. LOL! I also enjoy gifting, so releasing them is a requirement. It is also fun to take advantage of pawns that have different skills/talents/spells equipped, that I am not used to using. It gives me a chance to see those skills in action. :) Not that I can't just try things out myself, but I might not even be playing that vocation currently. Anyway, those are some of the reasons that myself, and probably some others, choose to switch up pawns.

When I decide to change saves, I try to announce it here and ask that no one gift me anything for a couple days. Then once I've started my other save, I don't gift anyone anything for a day or two. That usually prevents rocks.

My first time I played through I was a ranger the whole game except in the beginning when I was a fighter so I kept the same pawns with me.  This time I'm changing when I max vocations so I will probably change them up.  I just usually keep them hanging out with me until I change again.  I don't have any good stuff to gift but I can send like combinable things that arent from bbi (since I don't have anything from there yet) and I will try to release for the rift crystals and star thingies if I remember.  Do I just put the stuff in their inventories then rest and then release?  I have no clue

First of all, you NEVER have to gift stuff; it is just a nice gesture. I mean gifting to infinity pawns isn't really necessary, unless I say, Hey guys, Seel needs a moonshimmer pelt, anyone got one? Otherwise, to me, it's asking a lot for a low level player to gift stuff to an infinity pawn.

Now, if you do want to gift something...

You gift armor and weapons by equipping them to the pawn. The game will prompt you... something like, "Equipping this will gift it to the pawn's owner, do you wish to proceed?"

You gift items (like greenwarish, golden egg, etc.) when you release the pawn in the Rift. The game will ask if you want to release this pawn; you say yes, then it asks if you would like to release it with a gift. Say yes, then select the gift from your inventory. After that, you rate the pawn (we always give each other five stars because we love each other like that, yep), then release him/her.

@kaidan fan - I just realized that you had asked a question too. I think most people "think" that another DD will be made, but we are unsure at this time. Originally news from Capcom (and some screenshots), made it seem like they were working on a new DD. Later it was revealed (I believe) to be a brand new IP, not DD. <_<

But the vigil continues..... :D

Also thought I would give you one piece of advice regarding the Gorecyclops in the Midnight Helix (the one that "stomped you" in BBI ;) ). Try one the following, if you feel you are too squishy to go at him with melee. If your magick attack number is higher than strength attack, use option one. Do the opposite if you have a higher strength attack number.

Regarding Dragon's Dogma 2:

Capcom hasn't tricked anyone. Deep Down was never meant to be Dragon's Dogma 2 and was mindless speculation made by fans just because it happened to feature a dragon. Capcom actually confirmed that Dragon's Dogma would be a series following the success of the first game.

http://www.totalxbox...d-bigger-world/

Last October, Hideaki Itsuno (director of DD) mentioned rumors of the sequel on PS4 and said the possibility is growing.

http://www.vg247.com...evil-may-cry-5/

Deep Down is being developed by the Street Fighter director, it was never going to be Dragon's Dogma 2. Hideaki Itsuno will no doubt direct DD2 as it is his brain child.

It fact it would be mad not to expect a sequel since we've been treated to an expansion and Dragon's Dogma Quest for the vita. These were two separate titles following after the success of the main game. I hope it gets announced this year as that could mean a release next year.
