Thanks @Curious Artemis! I think I did accept your friend request the other day and saw your hunky warrior in the rift.  When I switch to strider I will probably be using him and my sons warrior to fill that spot.  Did I mention that Kelly is hunky? Yeah...he is.

 

Oh my  This makes me very happy, yes it does He's destined to get even hunkier; once I have access to the CC again he's going to be a bit taller and perhaps fill out a bit more. I could feel his displeasure at being shorter than Shinon

I don't know, I like his solid lil self.  All the pawns are so good looking.  I feel like you guys are masters of making the pretty ones.  I'll get t here some day.  Nicholas isn't bad.  I'm thinking maybe another hairstyle later on, we'll see.

What's funny is I spent about an hour working on him (and my new Arisen), then as soon as I finished and started playing the game, I couldn't stop thinking about making it to Gran Soren and hitting the barbershop #NeverSatisfied

Oh, in other news, WE BEAT AWAKENED DAIMON!!!!!!!!! The cutest moment was when he grabbed Rohan and Briana screamed, "None shall touch the Arisen!!" before springing upon him like a banshee from hell. It was awesome lol Seel rescued Rohan the second time by doing that slicing and dicing move. Aww those pawns sure love their Arisens

My first time, I forgot to loot the four chests on the way out. Just...walked right past them. I was just in the "ooh, what's up here?" mindset, and walked into the light like an idiot.

Now that you've done it, you'll have lots of chances to fight him again.

@Curious - YAY! Salutations, and so forth.....AD has been made into kitty chow. Sorry to read about you forgetting to loot. I did have to giggle a little. Sounds like something all of us have done or come close to doing at least once (or more) during this game. Like @happy_daiz said though, you won't be so intimidated now, and you will do it more often. Besides, how else ya going to godsbane for those damn lvl. 3 weapons. "Gotta catch dem all!" Or was it, "Gotta play to win." LOL! Sorry.....I'm in a weird mood right now.

@Shepen - Dammit woman. You get the best friggin snaps. *cackle!* BTW, one of the best things about escort missions: standing around till the one you are escorting just sits down. Though, it kinda makes me think of that dillweed, Montebank.....hrmm.

I did finally play yesterday, with Ari and Castor. Thanks to Shepen's awesome lvl. 3 weapon gift, I did get the Sanguine Stalk purified. Excellent! Went through five dragons last night trying to get it dragon forged, with zero results. Bogus.

It has been fun "mirroring" spells with Castor. And, I did find a great way to kill a condemned Gorecyclops with Sorcerer, at a lower level. Stand in the alcove with one of the pawns being a sorcerer as well. They will "mirror" your spells (assuming you are using a pawn that has similar spells assigned). I just rinse and repeated High Bolide and Glicel (while using Periapts and later Salomet's potion), and Castor mirrored me everytime. Nice and safe in the little alcove.

I also got "ated" by a Cursed Dragon. Seriously. One chomp. Dead....dead, dead, deadski. I keep thinking they just do "love bites", like they do with Ulee who is a toughy, sporting gold forged duds. Not squishy little Ari, in the clothes she is "trying" to DF.

I've resorted to spawning the Dark Bishop and godsbaning after the fight if I don't get stuff DFd, especially if I'm not a ranger or assassin.

 

Nice tip about the Gorecyclops! Now if only we could stop pawns from climbing on them and freeing them when we don't want them to...

 

Edit: I also found out today that Radiance apparently *doesn't* stack with an Elite Lantern, although I really could have sworn it did. I'll do some testing. I know that radiance was intended for use with a normal lantern (it existed before Elites did) so maybe Elites don't benefit, they're just a normal lantern + radiance in one package.

 

So I may have been wasting an augment spot for quite some time. Oh well.

Ohhh! Good idea! May just have to run through the Fortress and Tower as quick as I can (screw the beasties), and get directly to the Cathedral. lol....knowing my luck though, at least one of the bimbos following Ari, will take a swan dive in the Fortress, or get stuck some place ridiculous, in the Tower.

Okay, I will be curious to see your results, regarding Radience. It really did look like it illuminated a lot more. Odd.

And no kidding about the pawns climbing on the CGC and unshackling him, when that is NOT the plan. I end up just keeping everyone in the alcove, till he is dealt with now, so I don't have to worry about it. Ding-dongs. *snicker!*

Oye! What does a gal have to do, to get a damn stick Dragon Forged. AGGH! I am on dragon nine (9). Still can't get the bugger DF'ed (the Sanguine Stalk). I am so tired of playing Sorcerer. LOL!! I admit, I am being lazy and stubborn, all at the same time. I didn't feel like running to the Cathedral to Godsbane with the Dark Bishop (yeah, yeah...I'm being stupid. ). I think I will try the off-line Ur-Dragon once (since I am now near Gran Soren/Everfall, and then resign myself to doing the Dark Bishop.)

Cursed Dragons are my go-to for DF.

 

Also, I've always been under the impression that all the dragon tears do is make enemies in the Everfall drop more wakestones... if even that. Are they supposed to do more?

@CENIC - Mine too (cd's that is). CD's usually df everything for me...with occasional exception. But I had two CD's, two Firedrakes, Thunderwyvern, Frostwyrm, two drakes, wyrm, glitched wyvern (knew it would probably glitch), and an offline Ur-Dragon. All within a 24 hr period. I got three clothing items DFed.

It was my stupidity not saving before taking on the CD's...at least then I could have godsbaned. Well, at least for one of them, since I summoned it with bait meat. Kicking myself repeatedly on that one. LOL!

Ah well....maybe my grey matter will be functioning tomorrow, and I will either be smarter with saving before using bait, or just use the Dark Bishop, as Shep does.

What is this Dark Bishop and godsbaning that you speak of? 

 

So I switched back to strider so I could finish my vocation and get all the augments and released Briana for Kelly.  ( I didn't have any good gifts so I equipped a crappy ring on Briana to sell and sent some combinable something to use I think, sorry!).

 

I took Kelly to fight that cyclops on BBI and the golem for the witch hunt quest.  He had fun I think   I wonder how he would fare against the dragon or drake or whatever it is by shadowkeep?

Dark Bishop is a boss on Bitterblack Island. He fights alongside a Cursed Dragon. Killing them both gives you the same high chance to dragonforge a piece of equipment as killing a regular Cursed Dragon - and Dark Bishop and his pet are easier to kill.
If you save before killing a boss that can dragonforge equipment, you can use the Godsbane sword to kill yourself and quickly reload to try again if the dragonforging doesn't work. Godsbane in general is a quick and handy way to reload, whether you are farming items or dragonforging.

I have beaten it one time, this is my second pt.  I'm just still pretty noob'ish.  Maybe I have the sword in my storage?  I'll have to look, lol.

 

@Curious:  Maybe Nicholas thinks Kelly is too protective of me and encroaching on his job?  But that is Kellys job!  Along with all pawns.  Silly Nicholas!  In any case, they are both adorable.

@CENIC Re: dragon tears, some people claim that they work outside of the Everfall, some people claim they seem to increase drop rates of rare items, some people say they don't do squat. But since they don't weigh much, I usually have them in my inventory regardless. I can't honestly say they have much of an effect anywhere, but maybe they do. Can't hurt, right?

@Kaidan Fan - You should have a Godsbane (it would be in the same menu list that has your extra lanterns, periapts, flasks of oil, ferrystones, etcetera...). If for some reason you don't have one, let me know. Ulee and Chase have an extra one, you are welcome to. Very nice pic, as well.

As for my DF ranting, just ignore me. LOL! I think I was just getting sick of playing Sorcerer. I miss getting good snapshots as an Assassin or Ranger. Or getting through rooms quicker, as an MA. Hardly a real complaint, though it was one of those rare times, when the game really was being stingy on dragon forging.

I managed to grab a few shots, but nothing that exciting. I think I will hold off grabbing them from FB, till I have a few better ones to pepper the boring ones with.

@Shepen - Okay....so is that what Exequy looks like, up close and personal, when your Arisen or Pawn goes boom? Fantastic! Love "creeper" Shinon. Great screenies as always!

I really hate that you can't gift equipment from Bitterblack (or goldforged equipment) even if the other player has the Dark Arisen expansion. Before Dark Arisen, I enjoyed pimping out the pawns of random players who sent me friend requests so they could rent my pawn.

I rushed through the story in my current game so I could reach the Everfall and at least farm for some decent equips to gift others. Something interesting I noticed - I was aiming for Julien as my love interest. I followed the proper steps; killed him in the duel, resurrected him, and gave him an Arisen's Bond when I spoke to him in the dungeon. Then. out of curiosity, I went to Cassardis and also gave an Arisen's Bond to Valmiro, whose personal quest I had not completed, but who had been my previous love interest. Lo and behold, when I confronted Grigori, Valmiro was there! I had been under the impression you had to complete a character's personal quest for them to be considered a love interest, but apparently this is not the case...
