Man I miss blue sky. I think I may just have to say FU Death, and catch him on the reset (with Ari/Castor). I really want blue sky again.

 

That is indeed Barnaby melting. When pawn NPCs die, they zip right off to the rift. And the process in which they do that resembles a balloon deflating. It's quick, so you don't see it unless you're there with a camera shoved in the unfortunate soul's face.

 

Which I do, because I'm a horrible person.

So Shep you just start Barnaby's escort quest and never finish it, just take him everywhere? I need to do that with one of my Arisen's boyfriends *snort* The Shinon-Barnaby relationship is so hilarious. I love how Barnaby insists on calling him son

 

It makes me think about how my Arisens' pawns regard their love interests.

 

Arya: She thinks Reynard is oblivious but harmless. She wishes Dai had chosen more of a soldier, like Max or Julien. She worries when they travel together and she's not with them (like now, apparently )

 

Seel: He loves Valmiro! Really, he thinks he's cute. He gets annoyed when Rohan flirts with other people. 

 

Kelly: He grudgingly admires Julien and thinks him an honorable man but is secretly jealous that Kael likes him so much

it's starting to become more trouble than it's worth. I pretty much can't leave the area around Cassardis or he friggin' dies. But I just know the second I dump him off at the beach, I'll need a shot of Real Barnaby doing something.

Zihark is largely indifferent about Quina, most likely because his master is as well. She's not in it for lurve, it's the free healing she's after. Just don't tell Quina.

Okay, so never quit the game while standing on a boat on the Cassardis docks. Because when you reload, this happens if you're dragging an NPC along.

It actually took me about 40 minutes to sign in to XBL, it kept demanding I enter my email and password, which I did several times. "Sorry, there was an error, please try again" isn't exactly the most helpful piece of information. Was the password wrong? Did I have the wrong email?

 

Nope, just XBL being a jerk.

 

edit: it happened again after I switched GTs. hopefully this goes away like the old "we need more e-mail addresses beyond the billion you already gave us because security"

I haven't been able to play in forever because it's getting ready to send the kid back to school month    So maybe the end of this month I can get back to it.  Soon ™.

Played yesterday, after getting my last contract job, completed early (yay!). I was in "stupid mode" though.....heaven's to Betsy, I missed so many great shots! It was like my finger was caught in slow-mo. I did manage to grab a few okay snaps, but nothing as epic as I could have gotten. boo.

Still, was fun to play after a short hiatus. Death was stalking me though. LOL! And no....I didn't run from him every time. Though, the last two times he decided to "hang", I ducked out. Didn't feel like dealing with him further.

BTW, I am addicted to those Pilgrim charms. My new 'crack!'

The morning decided to throw Rog and I a little curve ball. A Centurylink work truck was working on the main line that connects to our house (and others on the same street), and our internet went down. They left before we had a chance to figure this out. We called them, and found out that they wouldn't be able to come back out till Monday, to fix it. So now we are working off of our phone "hot spots", for this weekend. Ah well....so is life.

Alynna usually has Barnaby maxed, so his quest shows up almost instantly after the first quest in Gran Soren.

 

As for your internet woes, Coldi, I've been there. Recently, it was our phone line. Couldn't call out, couldn't receive calls. Had to wait several days before the phone company got around to us. Luckily there were no emergencies. (we have cells, but they get no service in our neck of the woods).

I'm currently mucking about in the Watergod's Altar, Zihark cast a comestion and I zoomed just as the cutscene showing the saurians coming in started, and now the lighting is messed and I love it.

Also, yesterday, a friend of mine who likes doing those pointless quizzes did one I actually thought sounded interesting - it was a vocabulary quiz. I have a pretty big vocabulary but about 80% of it is rusting from disuse. She complained she'd "never heard any of these words before"  (I assume she was exaggerating, one of the words was "finite"). Here's one that made me smile.

Haven't gotten a chance to play though, since last Friday. Maybe I will get a chance tonight.

Also have been musing on character profiles for both Ulee and Ari. My problem is, that I almost feel like Ari is still being defined. Ulee, on the other hand is fairly concrete now. Some aspects of Ari, seem to be consistent since her inception....guess I just need to write them up.

@Shepen - I think Castor may adopt your Arisen as his own soon. And I would say the "crazy" from Chase, Ari and Ulee, is finally getting to that boy. Absolutely love Shin flippin the board the bird. Fabulous.

BTW, how do you manage to get those near kisses/hugs/intimate moments?? I have gotten lucky a couple of times, but usually if I try for them, I fail miserably.

Would love to join in the fun, but Rog is playing Gran Turismo 6. I just bought it for him, since it had been years (yes, years) since he played one of his beloved driving sims. I may not see you all until the holidays.
