Hi Shepenwepet! I'd love to add you. I do still play- right now I am debating starting completely over, or just rolling into NG+ again. My characters are @ level 185. I've farmed Bitterblack to death, and am kind of longing for that "level 1 badass forever getting one shot by bandits" experience. Maybe I'll do that on a second profile though.

Here's something I didn't know until recently, although when I think about it, I should have known better - popping tomes or jewels in Gran Soren can kill NPCs and get you arrested for murder. I JUST WANTED SPOOKY LIGHTING IN THE PAWN GUILD, SER RAFFE. UNHAND ME.

 

Yeah, I activated a Surging Light tome in the pawn guild and everyone started flying back and forth like human ping pong balls. NPC pawns don't give a damn, they'll get up, brush themselves off and ask you if they can be of use. Try it just before you quit sometime. It's quite amusing. I couldn't get a decent pic because it was too hard to see what was going on.

 

And another thing. I really, really don't see how people can play as a warrior. What do you do when there are flying enemies? Do you jump around a lot, swinging like crazy and hoping your weapon connects? Is there a skill I'm missing? Do you rely on rangers and spellcasters?

 

Alynna's not exactly the brightest bulb when it comes to warrior-ing.

Alynna: It's this damn sword that's the problem. Shinon wanted me to dragonforge it.The blasted thing's soaked in oil, now I'm covered in it. i can't even walk by someone with a torch or I'll burst into flames. It's impractically huge, too. I can barely lift the thing, let alone swing it. I don't know why he wants this. He'll have fun with it for maybe ten minutes and switch back to his bow, just you watch.

With small flying creatures I use a light melee attack while jumping. For large ones I use a heavy attack. Sometimes it staggers the enemy and they fall to the ground. Things only become complicated with Metal Golems and the Ur-Dragon. I can't reach some of the amulets (and the pawns won't always target them) and trying to hit the wings on the Ur is an exercise in frustration.

I think there's a skill that slashes upwards, too. I've seen Kelly jump up and wave his sword up at a harpy and knock it out of the sky.

Well, I managed to DF the gryphic black, so no more warrior for me. but it's good to know.

It took me close to half an hour to kill a metal golem in the Tower of Treasons repaid last night as a warrior. There was one amulet left, the one that's in a little gap just past a treasure chest on the outside ledge. I'd run up the stairs and try to double vault to it (which i'd remember AFTER I attempted it that I couldn't) and end up sliding alllll the way back down to the bottom. Finally, after like six or seven tries I went around the other side and somehow managed to wedge myself between it and the wall.

 

And I lost Zi's numbers again. I swear I wrote them down. I've got one written down, but it ends up looking like the first version. I tried my best to cobble him back together.

Seel:

It probably says a lot about Rohan that when he created Seel, he chose to create a prettier, long-haired version of himself. Seel began pawn life at a rather sedate pace; his Arisen bemused him at times, and although his natural response was also to heal and protect Rohan whenever necessary, some dim part of him felt concern that he didn’t share the same bond with his Arisen that other pawns shared with theirs. Rohan was arrogant and thoughtless; he had little concern for the feelings of those he didn’t personally know, and he was a huge flirt, despite being in a budding relationship with longtime best friend and cousin (ew) Valmiro.

 

Seel was a quiet pawn in his first few days of pawn life. None of the pawns his master rented made a tremendous impression on him, not at first. He found something intriguing about Chase and Briana, but couldn’t put his finger on what. He supposed that they were different, and that made them special. Chase had pointed ears and bright white face paint; Briana had strange-colored eyes and a smile that sometimes made him nervous. He liked her.

 

He became a sorcerer. It was then that he realized healing did not come naturally to him—battle did. He loved casting spells and watching as the fruits of his labors tore up a battlefield. He grew to admire the only other sorcerer his master regularly hired, a massive pawn named Woolie. Woolie may have been his first crush, but don’t tell anyone.

 

Once the dragon was slain, his master gave him the opportunity to have a makeover. This pleased him because he no longer felt like his subdued appearance matched the pawn—the person—he wished to become. He chose to wear his hair like his idol, Briana, and he even had different colored eyes for awhile. He lost weight and changed his facial features so he didn’t look so much like Rohan; they were no longer the same height, either. Rohan liked his new look but told him he was silly. So he kicked him.

 

He came into his own on Bitterblack Isle. His magical abilities grew and grew; he felt unstoppable! He no longer felt embarrassed to be on the same team as some of those he secretly idolized: Shinon, Chase, Gabs, and Briana. It was on Bitterblack Isle, too, that he suddenly found himself placing himself bodily between his master and the corrupted Arisen, Daimon. He realized that despite the constant squabbling and ribbing between them—he loved Rohan. They were brothers, in a way. Rohan still got on his nerves, but that was all right. That was normal for brothers.

 

He was desperate to make friends. But despite his new appearance, the shy introverted mage still lurked somewhere deep inside him. Taking a page from his own master’s slightly pervy book, he forced himself outside his comfort zone and boldly teased and flirted with the pawns he most admired. He discovered a side of himself, a playful side, he hadn’t known existed up until now. He delighted in coming up with the corniest, dirtiest jokes he could imagine. Somehow or other, he became That Guy who casts Gicel in the shape of a penis. He loved it. He still loves it. Unfortunately, he often has no idea how uncomfortable his outrageous style of flirting can make some people, but his closest friends know he’s pretty much harmless.

 

Today, Seel still struggles with his natural shyness and desire to be liked and accepted. He goes overboard, dying his hair a different color every other day and donning the most garish and outrageous outfits he can find. He can be a little annoying and might come off as desperate at times, but that’s just who he is. Despite outward appearance, Seel also happens to be a bit of a romantic. To this day, he HATES how Rohan flirts with other people; as dim as Valmiro tends to be, he doesn’t think the guy deserves to have a cousin-lover (ew) with a wandering eye.

 

He doesn’t imagine finding love himself; he’s just a pawn after all. He knows none of his friends take him too seriously. When he gets nervous around Gabrielle, he grabs her a$$. He’s Seel! That’s just what he does, right? If he REALLY likes someone, you’ll notice he doesn’t hang around them much, let alone talk to them. He’s probably not said two words to Thomas, Castor, or Nick. Oh dear. He may have a type…

 

So that’s Seel. He likes bright colors, corny jokes, and extremely destructive magic. He’s the love that you’ve looked for; write to him and… oops, never mind that last bit.
