My last off-topic pic, I swear. Maybe. It appears this does indeed work. But it feels like a bug and looks like a bug, most armor seems to default to the "standard/armorless" appearance, although some do not.
I tried playing DD last night, I'd saved right outside Daimon's chamber with a wakestone-less, lifetsone-less, poorly-equipped Assassin Alynna that can't seem to stun awakened Daimon out of his rift vortex no matter what she tosses at him, so pawns inevitably get sucked away and she's left unable to do any damage. (Her physical attack is laughable). If Seel's got holy affinity, he may be of some help. I'm just about to hop on and give it another go.
Last comment too....

I "think" why they did this, was for two reasons. I remember them saying a while back, that they
did intend to allow armor to be used by multiple classes -
in some cases. If I can find the quote that came from, I'll post. The second reason (though the first really is enough, I suppose), was to allow for the "race-restricted" armor schematics, to be used by any class. For example, I now have Freya in the Dalish Scout armor (she is a Mage). However, you are not wrong; something looks wonky about a lot of the classes pieces. Oh, and I was able to craft the Legion of the Dead armor, for Varric, using Silverite. Didn't end up liking it, LOL!

I love having my elf mage in the Dalish scout armor. It looks much better than the Keeper robes (which I reserve for Solas). Now if I could just get the damn schematics for Sturdy Battlemage Mail (the ones that have a fur wrap, on Solas), and the Keeper schematics (gotta take out the Highland Ravager for those though....eep!)
I did make a non-class armor for Sera. I kind of like that weird "ribbed" effect on her.
If I was at my desktop, I would have posted some pics. Sorry.

BTW, good luck with the squishy on AD. Is Alynna set as a mage/sorcerer right now, or a Magick Archer? If the latter, just have her climb onto AD's chest-face, and wacka-doodle! LOL! Seriously, it works everytime.
