6) And finally, feel free to stay away from Death, till later. When you are ready, give us a holler here, for further info regarding him, if and when you are ready. You will face him a few times, but you do not have to engage him. Just as a reminder.

I did not have the balls/ovaries to take on Death until I was level 200  He still scares me!!!! Although perhaps not so much when I think of how he is portrayed in Shinon's Report.... xD

If you have a video of you defeating Death, I'll give you a celebratory jazz hands.

Don't worry. I won't clap. Clapping triggers anxiety after all :P .

I wish I had a video! Sadly I don't know how to capture videos on xbox. But it really just involves me running around that statue in the first level and shooting ninefold bolt repeatedly (if MA) and also running in to pick up and rescue any sleeping pawns before he murder-smacks them with his scythe

Dragon's Dogma Definitive edition set for XBONE, PS4 & PC

http://www.kdramasta...-one-and-pc.htm

Hate to rain on your parade, but this is the same site that said DD2 was confirmed several years ago. If they get their "news" from "alleged leaks" on 4chan... yeah.

While I wouldn't rule out Capcom doing this, because it does sound like something they WOULD do, rather than giving us a nice new game, it probably isn't going to happen. At least any time soon.

Would I buy it, though? ...yeah. And I'm ashamed of it. Kind of. Not really. I'm so not ashamed at all.

I'd much prefer a DD:DA remaster than DDO. My copy of DD:DA isn't even mine, it's my brother's, who got it for free when he traded in Walking Dead: Survival Instinct. He didn't even play DD:DA,  his backlog's bigger than mine. I may have put in enough hours for the both of us, though.

I'm going to start Dark Arisen.

Any tips? I hear it's difficult.

I'm currently playing as a strider.

I wish I was back here, when everything was new. It's quite the experience. Running into NEW beasties? Getting NEW gear?

I don't have any tips that haven't already been said - although blessed flowers are nice to have on BBI. (Veteran's Periapts are nice too, but they don't last.) You'll rocket up levels if you have one active. Once you're hardy enough to survive a few fights, a good place to level up is the Rotunda of Dread, which is a room you might stumble on early on. Monsters instantly respawn there if you leave and return, unlike most of the other rooms. There're good fights there on your first run - Evil Eyes, Hydras, ...a pile of ogres, I think...

  • The new Barnaby appears to be a pawn dressed like a priest in purple vestments

If Selene's in the game as a "Witch of the Woods", I'm calling shenanigans. Those two and Rook would have been the only characters they could have used as a nod to the original and still have made at least some sense.

...I wish I could spoil you, I *really, really* wish I could spoil you on that. It's so ...errrrgh. It fits SO WELL. As soon as Bloodborne's out of the way, I'm finishing that. It's all up in my brain, just not on a screen.

AHHAHAHAHA!!! Not your beloved Barnaby. Damn. The "page-boy" haircut, reminds me of this:

Welllllllll.....poop! I should generally be more skeptical with news like this. But the heart wants, what the heart wants.

I too am not quite so tempted by DDO. Would much prefer DD2, or at the very least the remix put on the PC and nextgen (current gen, actually. *nod*)

The only one's who's parade will be thoroughly rained out are the PC gamers who have a desire for mods (my heart aches for you if this game doesn't get made guys), but a definitive edition - don't count it out yet Crapcom wants their money and is probably thinking that an updated current-gen console release may generate interest for DD:DA, which in turn will determine whether DDO will be see a Western release. But you guys will find out soon enough whether DDO is worth it or not, since there will be leaks out pretty soon and wiki articles to be made *hint* *hint*.

C'mon you can't be surprised, look at Crapcom's current trend of snubbing Xbox Street Fighter V is another such one that will not be seeing Xbox release - I think Tekken vs Street Fighter is another one but I'm not 100% sure.

I'm a guy who want's to dress flamboyantly, but society frowns upon it.

Anyway. I love the picture. It's very nice.

This actually seems pretty normal to me. I go to church every Sunday and the priest is wearing robes like the ones above. I like it.

Don't they refer to that sort of flamboyant-manly style as 'foppish', or is that an outdated term?

People still do. I don't hear it used very often though.

Probably outdated. Depends where you live.

I've brought this thread off topic.

Are there any more flamboyant outfits in Dragon's Dogma?

While I hope this is true, Im also kind of reluctant. When my old save file crashed it took me months to get the montivation to start again and about 40hours in I am still a good 15 hours to where I need to be where I last left off.

The thought of starting again for a third time, even with better graphics is very off putting

Set of Fop's (Reynard's) trek wear?  :D Well...there's also the set of "lady's wear, but that's a bit beyond simply being foppish lol. The jester's suit is very garish-looking, and weird.

I know what you mean, I really really want to get in the mood to finish playing as my Level 35 Elf-lover chick (she hires only elves and her MP is an elf warrior) but each time I turn on the 360 it's either Skyrim, Oblivion, Sims or now Dragon Age Origins (gotta finish my Dalish playthrough). I'll probably get back to it before I have another go at Inquisition, my lord is that intro soul-crushing -- with new pics as well.

So I've been having a good weekend so far :)   Got back to the Everfall and defeated Death for the second time!  (That exp!! :D )

I fought the Ur-Dragon properly for the first time as well.  That thing is tough!! After trying to figure out if in fact I was damaging it, (I was, just!!) after my ten minutes I think I knocked off one sixth of its health  Any tips on that thing??

Also been a while since we did this and I've seen a few new faces (and since Aedan posted his). If people want to post there gamertag and platform so were all up-to-date with each other that be great :)

Bring 36 Taglius Miracles and Salomets Secrets. Take 4 of each at a time. This should be enough to last throughout the time limit. You'll also want plenty of stamina and health regenerating items.

Prepare to hate the tail. He sticks it outside the arena and into the scenery. He will also likely throw you off when he spins around. Curse the name of Capcom, climb back on and prepare to be knocked off again in a few seconds.

Do not fight it for 18 hours straight long periods of time. Even if you have the time, that's a terrible idea. I don't know what sort of masochist would do something like that, but they are without a doubt incredibly handsome and charming crazy. Take a break every once in a while.

Bring something to read if you're going to use 1000 kisses. It gets boring. Keep an eye or your stamina and status effects, replenish when necessary then go back to your literature.

If you saved before entering the chamber, you can godsbane after he leaves and get most of your items back. If you don't want to or can't godsbane, prepare to spend a fortune replenishing your items.

Soon, you too can have more wakestones and holy weapons than you know what to do with.

Thanks a bunch :)  I didn't realise that Taglius Miracles and Salomets Secrets stacked up to four times!  That should help a load B)

Im playing an assassin and there a few grapple skills I can use as well to help me along the way.  May have to start using Godsbane... otherwise it will be close to 250k gold a fight on those potions!!

If you kill it, can you still godsbane or does that screw with the item drops? I never really thought to try, I'm usually running to see which mask I got. (It's always Saint George, I don't know why I bother.)

You can also use conqueror's and demon's periapts, although they don't affect your friends. I find when I use miracles/secrets, Ur does a team debuff he doesn't usually do, resulting in skill stifling and having my bonuses wiped. It might just be because I'm not doing my job in helping stunlock him and am instead taking pictures.

If you bring a sorcerer/mage, holy affinity is great, as are holy weapons. You might want to consider stripping rangers and striders of their bows, once a team of dagger-users attach to an Ur-heart, there's nothing he can do except flop around until they run out of stamina. It's a beautiful thing.

I don't know, but I'll test this the next time the Ur-Dragon is in grace. I kept getting Siegfried masks. Would be nice to change the mask you get.

So I went to Cassardis to a purple circle on the map (this is after purchasing Dark Arisen).

Well nothing happened. I was hoping to start Bitterblack Isle.

Anyone know how to start the DLC?
