So I did some digging on the wikia, since no matter how many times I used the Lvl.3 Gear I could never get any of the Daggerist bands. (been wanting Thousand Kisses for a while). Turns out with Talia's spec I could never get it...  Strange system sometimes.  Hopefully no my 'luck' will improve there.  Still also waiting on the elite lantern.  Im sure that will eventually drop when I hit infinity

 

A basic lantern + the Ranger augment Radiance is the same as an elite lantern, if you don't mind taking up an augment slot for something essentially useless. (I use it! Still no Elite lantern here either... I forget which Novelty level they are, I've got buckets of all of them on my main save, I can toss a few your way if you don't get any soon.)

 

I have some more lvl 3 gear I can send her ^^ I, too, am trying to get an elite lantern for Kael/Kelly, grrrr. It really does make a difference!!!

 

Also last night I started a new account and new Arisen >.> But you won't see him or his pawn for awhile, so no worries I'll give the gamertag once they're at a decent level. I realized I didn't have an archer pawn (Arya=warrior, Kelly=fighter, Seel=sorcerer) and I kind of want to create an elfin archer type /looks at Chase --okay perhaps not EXACTLY like that; don't want to be a copy-cat

 

Feel free to use my lil pawn Leanne at GT: Sweetfarore, she won't hold back your xp too much. I think she's only level 27? I abandoned her and I'm ashamed. Also she's using an ascalon so her stamina is wiped in seconds.

 

I really should power through the game with her so I can use her as my shapeshifter.

I know Curious did say she wasn't gonna share her pawn until later, but you can never have too many rift crystals. I'll only gift stuff you ask for, otherwise I'll gift semi-rare materials or wakestones.

Gahh now I have pawn creation anxiety :-s I just know he's gonna be fugly as hell just cause you guys are gonna see him now >.< Astonishingly I'm happy with my Arisen. He's perty. And a sorcerer (well mage). Yeah I dunno why I have this plan to play as a sorcerer for 200 levels. I don't even know. 

 

I want to pick a hairstyle no one ever uses. So if you see a pawn in the Rift with an afro or mohawk you'll know why...

LOL! I finally log on to my "coldwetn0se" gamertag, to play around with Ari/Castor. Turns out, I left them in the Midnight Helix, all three pawns - Seel, Shinon and Castor - are poisoned. "Agh! Debilitated! Take care you are not poisoned."



Eight months, roughly, was the last time I was on this account. That's a long time to be debilitated. oops.

Arisen-Alynna was a mage/sorcerer for... at least 70 levels, I had fun. Trying it now, though... ugh, those cast times. Props to you if you stick with it, I haven't the patience anymore. Leanne's arisen Reyson was mostly mage/sorcerer. Now he's a magic archer, so it's not SO bad.

He and Leanne are both from Fire Emblem as well. So far I haven't butchered their characters but I'm sure that will happen in time. Alynna's my only original pawn, loosely (VERY loosely) based on a character I created for a story I wrote ages ago.

...Also, I think I sent you FRs on High Brontide for both Castor and Chase, I'm not sure if they expire or what (this was a while back...) so maybe take a peek if you get the chance!

@Shepen - No worries. Hosed Shin down in a healing spring. Should be "minty fresh" now. (Seriously, for some reason I always imagine that everyone who steps out of a healing Spring, smells like Peppermint. I have no idea why....)


Ran at the offline Ur-Dragon for a few runs with Castor/Ari. Trying to level him up just a bit more with da magicks, so I can finally switch him to Ranger for a good spell. However, I wasted a very precious Martyr's Talisman, because I "took it" to soon. Soooooo, if anyone is in the mood to gift Castor a Martyr's Talisman or two, I might pay with a couple pounds of flesh. Combined the last of my ingredients, to make two more, aaaaand that's all I gots. I could have sworn someone sold those. Is my memory just craptastic? (don't answer that.....it is. *shameface*)

Whelp I made a fresh new yummy-smelling pawn (they are like cookies); Alin has green pixie hair, elf ears, and creepy eyes. Think Puck from Midsummer Night's Dream?? Anyway, that's what I was going for. Faithful torso 10 was used, along with (for the first time) face 41. He'll be a fighter for the first ten levels, then he'll switch to strider/ranger.

 

I'll try to remember to friend "Sweetfarore" tonight. Actually sounds like she'd be good for helping Kelly/Kael rise in level too xD

Crawling through the Everfall today (courtesy of XBL being down), and I realized something while watching Kelly fight -- every time he strikes an enemy, he heals a little bit. Why is that?? Is it b/c of the lambent shield or cursed light sword? I checked their stats and the wiki doesn't say anything about this. Is it some equipment he's wearing? A skill? Anyway, I found it very curious. 

 

p.s. Coldy, I found a vendor in the Everfall selling martyr's talismans and then looted one randomly All because you asked for one and XBL is down, of course...

Holy affinity weapons heal you, both Cursed Light and Lambent Shield are permanently holy enchanted, so yep!

XBL is down? It's been working fine for me over here.

And oooo okay that makes sense; gee, I was trying to DF a different shield for him but it's kind of nice being healed with every attack. I just wish the lambient shield weren't so bright and shiny, doesn't always go with his outfit.

I still am. I'd advanced my main quest a bit too far and it cancelled the escort quest, but I picked him back up on my High Brontide file. I just know if I don't have him, I'll need a shot of him. (The Catacombs can sometimes make a nice BBI stand-in)

 

I didn't play much last night, so baby Barnaby is like level 4 and wandering around the rift with no pants.

Went back to the PC for a bit, since Rog wanted the TV this weekend. He had a bunch of shows saved up. Meh.

Will add new gamertags tomorrow and buy me some MT's. Looking forward to getting Barnaby whenever the need arises. And it will.

I can send you guys some blessed flowers - they work much better on BBI than Gransys, they grant weal and it lasts for an in-game day. Since time doesn't 'flow' on BBI, it lasts somewhere between 30 minutes to an hour - for me it lasted well over two hours due to all the pausing I do. A blessed flower + the Black Abbey is quite the beautiful thing. (And on Hard Mode, XP is doubled to begin with, so quadruple XP for hard mode!)

 

All you need to do is have the flower in your inventory. Just always store it before resting, just in case. Also forge them. It costs 180000 gold, but if you sell off the 8 million blasphemer's cloaks you have, you should be set for life. 

 

If you've used a Blessed Flower for a while and it still hasn't wilted, if you put it in storage and rest in Gransys for four days, it apparently resets its timer. I was not aware of this, but the wiki says so. Would be nice if that was indeed the case. 

 

I'm about to hop on for a little bit. I have yet to meet Curious' new pawn, so that's on my list of things to do.

I'm about to hop on for a little bit. I have yet to meet Curious' new pawn, so that's on my list of things to do.

 

His neck is too thick and I'm definitely going to change his eyes, but I'm shocked I don't actually feel the urge to finish the game in a day so I can get back to the CC He came out okay. Unfortunately it seems no circlet looks good on him on account of the pixie cut, but I've never seen a head that didn't look awesome sporting a dragonwing circlet so SOON Alin, SOON.

That would be so sweet! I can replace a lot of it, too, over time. Just basically... a whole slew of generic vanilla Gransys crap. Assassin's breeches, a crap ton of over knee boots, lots of shirts and jerkins... just that kind of thing. Stuff that's throw away at level 80 but takes awhile to amass. I don't think I lost anything TRULY valuable. I didn't want my new guys wearing super fancy stuff so early.
