At what level should I try Daimon? I want those level 3 items BUT I mean I can barely beat a condemend gorecyclops at this point. I think the sparyard alone would murder me in two seconds.

Anyone have a miasmite? I need one for my boyfriend, er, Reynard's quest. I may have some on my other accounts but thought I'd ask here just in case anyone is currently playing.

I swear I've used around 25-30  Lvl.3 Novelty Gear and still can't get that Lantern!!

...y'know, I wonder if Novelties are the same as Armor and Weapons - you might be able to get a different item if you quit, change vocation and try again. There are 12 items possible to get with a Level 3 Novelty, which could work out to four different "sets". Next time I'm on I'll try.

The sparyard on the first run is just a Living Armor and the Fallen City is empty, so provided you have a balanced team you should at least make it there. You mean with Kelly, right? Level 80-something? I'd say give it a try. Just make sure to use the riftstone outside the sanctum so you can retry from last checkpoint if need be.(I honestly don't remember if it starts you outside if you die, or if liftstones work inside the sanctum, so it's best to be safe.)

If you met the Duke I think it cancels this quest. I'm pretty sure I lost out on Alynna's file. Other than that, according to comments on the wiki, if you've completed Seeking Salvation (Wyrm Hunt Quest) and refused to kill the salvation dude at the end, Mason won't work with you, so maybe that bugged Chasing Shadows. I assume you spoke with Mason to begin the quest and it's active? If so, that does sound like a bug. Try running around in the noble quarter, or leave and come back. Go to the inn, rest until nightfall.

I wish I could be more help but it's been ages since I actually played the game properly.

OMG... I just laughed so hard my cat starting meowing at me LOL I think because I was already laughing at the first picture, and then when I opened the spoiler for the second I just f*cking lost it !!!!!

 

*wipes eyes* Um... oh yeah, I do still need miasmite, yes please Or is there a quick way to get it? (I don't think I'll be playing again tonight though) 

 

Oh, the quest did trigger I had to stand in juuuust the right place. And yeah I know, half the time I'm wondering why I'm actually "playing" the game, I mean what, a fourth time?! But I guess it would just bug me if I had outstanding quests. Like I actually looked up which option would let Pip's parents live just because. Doesn't mean I won't throw all three into the Everfall later just for sh*ts and giggles...

 

Oh Alin finally has sinew so he can carry stuff now

Im starting to think the same as well. Although no wiki entries or FAQs seem to suggest it.

EDIT: I did try swapping vocations for novelties yesterday, and I get the same thing regardless of vocation. So I guess it's just a 1/12 shot of getting what you want.

Well today I hit three big milestones  

 

1) Fought the Ur-Dragon and won!  (albeit in offline since I haven't been able to connect today) but I am pretty proud and got one of the last few cheevos

 

2) Talia and Robyn (my Arisen) reach level infinity!! Wahoo!! (promptly went to being a Strider for Helm Splitter fun!!)

 

3) Got a Daggerist Band which allowed me to have Thousand Kisses and Shearing Wind!!

 

 

Needless to say pretty happy right now

Is there ever any mention of a year/date in DD? Do they just measure in terms of "x years since the dragon's coming" or something like that?

 

I'm doing up a bit of a prologue to episode 10, Zihark just asked Castor "What year is it?" and I really would not like the reply to be "2015."

Gosh, I would if I could. At the moment, Zi's only got access to Castor and Rook. Rook, surprisingly, is able to provide him with the correct date. I'm just gonna use a random number until I hear otherwise. I'll pull it from your GT, it's now year 546. 

 

...except it can't be. Dammit, it's 2015. Why is this thing making me think? It should be nothing but silliness...
