I suck! LOL! I picked up Alin and Castor (playing with Chase and Ulee), and two Eliminators were kicking our asssses. Poor Alin would resurrect, just to be swatted down again. And I don't know what that thick-headed yo-yo of mine (AKA, Chase) was doing. Yikes! Me thinks it is time to recheck his Inclinations - and maybe change a skill or two. He just ran around shouting useless advice - when he wasn't dead. At least Castor was on track. He manage to be the only pawn not to die (and keep most of his health), and he got off two rounds of Bolide, and enchanted everyones weapons. I was rather useless myself (but then I was slightly busy playing DD's version of Jesus.

Maybe Chase is reacting to his new "Dark" look. (yup....changed him to creepy dark Chase. Light eyes/dark hair.)

I actually sent my Gaira with some cursed BBI items and wound up getting a Dragon's Glaze so pretty good on the weapon part. Still trying for a "Melting Focus" for Zephyr and a Frigid Finger for Darik though

I can't gift you a Fridged Finger, but I just got a couple of cursed weapons that I can gift you. I believe you can sometimes get FF's from tier 1 cursed weapons. I'll grab Darik when I get back to a riftstone and take the pug out (he's giving me that "look" ).

@Aedan - Sent Darik back with a few goodies.

Just a quick warning though: both the robes and the staff I gave him, are a bit too high in level for him to use right now. He loses stamina really, really quickly, with them equipped.

I was wondering if anyone has any outfits/clothing combos that they just ALWAYS have to use with their pawn/pawns? I know some of you like Chase and Shinon tend to favor the black boots/gloves & pants with cursed king's belt and wyrm hunt mantle.

Alynna is pretty much glued to her Dignified Cape, and usually wears the silver breastplate + flame skirt. If she's a sorcerer, it's Berserkin all the way.


Zihark needs to be as purple as possible at all times so it's Abyssinal coat + bliaut usually. His cape fluctuates between the Ancient Cape, the Wyrm Hunt Mantle and the Mahogany Cape, sometimes no cape at all.


If he's a red vocation, which is rare, but it happens, I usually stick him in the Immortal's coat. Unless I stumble on the grand surcoat in my inventory first and fall in love with it again.


Shinon has several outfits, he sometimes has the trophy set + silk tights + linen shirt + ruminator's monocle. Sadly I don't have a picture of that, at least recently. I think right now he's on the server with his old getup, the Abyssinal Coat + Oblivion gauntlets and boots + hard leather plate.

And, because a bunch of our pawns have delusions perfectly normal superhero alter egos, here's Threnody and The Ab-arition

(A threnody is a funeral dirge and Ab-arition is a play on apparition, because he tends to fade from sight when I try to take pictures of him. Also he hides. A lot.)

You should do it, a bunch of us did that with our pawns a few dozen pages back. It was great reading about others' pawns.
 
I hired Gaira a few days back and still have him, I'll run him through BBI before I send him back. If you want nothing in particular, he'll be sent back with a level 3 armor.

And Reyson/Leanne on my Sweetfarore account are no more, I beat Grigs with them yesterday (technically Shinon did all the heavy lifting as Reyson was lugging around a revenant wail at level 31 and could fire maybe five shots before doubling over in exhaustion) and ran to the encampment to get that secret of metamorphosis. I don't believe I rested with these two, but they do exist.

I don't think I have your Sweetfarore account "friended" on Xbox. Will remedy this.

As for the outfits for our pawns, I started to write out some of my favorites, but got side-tracked momentarily, and hit the wrong damn button. *POOF!* Post deleted. So summing up: Chase has three favorites (well, sort of three...). The "I don't need no stinkin' chest plate" armor (cuz Shin taught him well). His Toady Todd look (which is pretty much any kind of jacket + Mercenary Slogs + TODD (aka "Traveler's Hood"). And finally his color themed outfits (Purity White, Crimson Red...both sets take advantage of Strider/Ranger pieces, that keep the general outfit in that single color theme).

Castor plays as a Sorcerer more often than not (though he is built surprisingly balanced), and he prefers the Robe of enlightenment over all - or mostly - black garbs. He does wear the Carrion boots and claws though. And likes his crown (Laurel Circlet). It shows off his 'chops'.

Off topic for a moment, I got my b-day gifts this past weekend (a bit early, but my husband is notorious for getting my birthday gifts before my actual birthday). I got new hardware for my computer, so I can rebuild it! YAY! Very excited. And these bits and bobs will be much more future proof, than what is currently in my desktop. The new MOBO will also be easy to continue to upgrade. My current mobo can barely be considered a computer part. A thatch of hay is probably more technical than that POS. Going to go look for a new case, after work. I am "itching" to build, dammit!

Well, it's subjective, but...here's mine.

*everything includes the Dragonwing Circlet because I just never take that off unless it's to swap in silly hats or the eyepatch

Male Warrior/Fighter = Sin set + Sovereign's Mantle


Male Ranger/Strider = Abyssinal Coat + Hard Leather Plate + Gloves/Boots of Oblivion + Heresy Cloak


Male Mage/Sorcerer = Grave set (minus the mask) + Hard Leather Plate + Evening Tights + Adept's Mantle

Female Ranger/Strider = Abyssinal Coat + Noblewoman's Corset or Abyssinal Outfit + Gloves of Oblivion + Delta Guard + Assault Boots

Female Mage/Sorcerer = Berserkin + Silver Chestplate + Flame Skirt (It doesn't cover much, but then again, most of the decent female mage armor doesn't cover much)


Female Fighter/Warrior = not a clue, just not the sin/hellfire sets. The ridges on the chest pieces aren't exactly... friendly to a woman's shape.

Ridiculous honorable mention to those lovely early-game mishmashes of garbage

Arya's iconic outfit: dragonwing circlet, red dragon scale armor, silver breastplate, dragonscale arm, silver bikini underwear (whatever they're called lol), dragonbeards, cloak of oblivion, dwells-in-light.

 

Seel's iconic outfit: carrion or grave mantle, carrion or grave claws, fine cassardi shirt or the dark (not silver) breastplate, any manner of pants (or no pants - oh la la), and carrion or grave boots. Oblivion or hellfire cloak. 

 

Kelly's iconic outfit: basically the white hawke armor set except using a different shirt underneath the armor + the eyepatch, plus the holy shield you get from Mr. Ur (forget its name) + I think cursed light sword.

 

As usual I cannot recall the names of 90% of items OTL >.<

 

Alin's iconic look: whatever random crap has the highest stars

I have a somewhat disturbing request. 

 

If anyone is still playing the actual main story, and your beloved is one of the following: Julien, Reynard, Aelinore, Mercedes, Valmiro or Barnaby, I need this shot. (Possibly others I've forgotten about as well, but those are the biggies.)

This is during "the choice". Meteor Shot or Lyncean Sight, Comet's too close unless you fiddle with it a bit. 

 

And those of you that had Julien as your beloved, does he show up at the Tainted Mountain in full armor or his recolored caretaker's garb? I know I could look this up on youtube, but right now everything's eternally buffering.

 

Oh, I sent Gaira home with a level 3 armor. He got scythed just as I was exiting the Bloodless Stockade, but I rehired him and sent him back properly. If you think to check, Let me know if he's rated four or five stars. I've always been curious if it averages or just takes the last rating.

He's in his civvies lol I guess that's called "caretaker's guard"? What he wears after he's arrested.

 

Reynard was Alin's Arisen's intended but I can change it if you'd prefer someone else. Even so, it'll be a long while before I get to that point in the game.

Reynard's fine. I think I have one of Mercedes in the final hall so she's not really a priority, but I'll take it since I'd prefer a floor rather than a misty void.

 

Julien is the one I'm really after, but Alynna can handle that in a few days.

So ... to get this shot... I mean I thought it was a cut scene, and you can't take screenshots during cut scenes. How is this possible?

When you get back control of your character you have to run to Grigori with your beloved if you want to take his deal. Before you pick them up, they're lying on the floor like that. I didn't really notice until I was messing around on my last playthrough. Your three pawns stand off to the side in a little gossip circle, all saying something like "You cannot make the choice, Arisen?"

 

Wait. I think I just thought of a much easier way to get this shot. Escort missions. Let your charge die. It wouldn't work with Barnaby, but it'd work with the rest. I'd just have them die in a place like the Catacombs to double for BBI. 

 

And I'm now extremely curious if I can get that Final Battle shot with Barnaby. It would be absolutely unavailable elsewhere.
