Hey so I just got attacked by the griffon out side of the capital he landed me and the pawns hit him a few times and he took off...So does he always do that? or will I get a showdown?(lvl27).
If he takes off before you kill him, the griffon goes to the Bluemoon Tower where you will be able to conitnue to fight him. But that tower sure is far... I hated walking all the way over there.

Yes, that's the one.
I thought there was an easier way to get there by finding a shortcut but there isn't one. I just kept ending up in the water. The only way there is to follow the road.

I really missed so many quests. I never saw Valmiro, I never did any Quina or Selene quests. My next playthrough I'll follow a quest list so I won't miss anything.
You know what this game needs? Quest givers need to be marked on the map. I'm sure I've missed tons of non-notice board quests, because I just don't want to go running around every corner of Cassardis/Gran Soren/wherever to find them.
And I may have just accidentally killed Selene. I usually whack her a few times to at least try to keep her affinity down when I go give her some herbs, but now... she's not getting up. oops. May have to reload, but I'm not sure.

Damn Ogres... They keep raging out because my main character and pawn are females. I think they get more enraged the more females you have. I saw this one video and the guy only had two, I had recruited a third female, and the Ogre didn't seem to attack so fast or often.
I also went there in search of Unremarkable Ore to max out my longsword.
I get them down to a small sliver of health and then they really lose it and I end up dying. I think I'm going to recruit this level 40+ pawn someone on my friends list has, that should even the playing field.

I just finished the game last night and I loved the ending....unlike some other game....
But I was so glad to have Julien as my romance throughout the game without worrying about having some other character pop out as my LI instead of him. Since many people have been having the wrong LI show up for them at the end I decided to only have Julien have max affinity for me and no one else. That solved that problem.
Yeah I just had that happen to me - even after I gave mercedes the arisen bond and probably close to 100 cloudwines I got madeleine instead (who I didn't give anything and just completed all her quests). Ah well, next time maybe I'll get it right.

Here's Garrus...

And here's Garrus...not leaving any enemies for the rest of us! >
Just like old times...I guess?
Also, now that I gained up a couple of levels I can't re-hire him. Either his owner deleted him or renamed him. Dang it! Off to find a new Garrus!
Does anyone know of any other pawns named Garrus (on the xbox360) ? Or even how to search for pawns by the pawn's name ? >.>;

I myself have been looking for a Smough as I stumbled upon an Ornstein in Gran Soren. I'd be unstoppable!

I don't like the sound of this. I'm at the last quest now. Having gotten another Arisen's bond from the story event at Greatwall, I figured I'd go have a last gift spamming rush and load up Barnaby with fish and another ring.
Thing is, he's not there. And I don't know why. That's the third high-affinity male that's disappeared for me. At least the other two, it's explained, Barnaby just went poof. I feel like the game is forcing you towards Selene or Aelinore, especially having that quest of hers close to the end.
I bet I'll end up with Random Soldier #4. who I spammed with knives at the start of the game.

I had that same thing happen, except he was almost dead before he flew away. I went to revive my healer mage, and in the time that took, he flew off. After a couple of game days, he showed up again, and we were able to take him out. Funny how shooting him with puny fire-enchanted arrows in the wings can make him fall to the ground like a harpie.thesnake777 wrote...

On a different note, I found that Bluemoon place, and cleared it out, but wasn't able to enter the interior portion. I assume that must be a quest location later on?
I just finished the last of the wyrm hunt quests (I think), and one popped up to go see the duke. Maximillian states that I should have all other quests completed before seeing the duke - is this a turning point in the game? Will I lose any current quests I haven't completed?

Nope, ones that are in your journal stay in your journal, some even can only be completed after you see the duke anyway. I left a few escort quests on boards undone and they disappeared, so if you want to do everything, get those escort quests done.

If you killed the quest griffon too soon you unfortunately can't get to the top of bluemoon tower (it crashes through the last gate, opening it for you). There's only one or two chests and a few piles of coins up there so it isn't the end of the world - but you do miss out on the portcrystal (which I never ended up using) which could make travelling a little easier. :/

OK, I have all of the escort missions done - all that's left in my quest list is slaughtering helpless oxen, boars, and rabbits (wtf?). Oh, and 3 golems. I already took out the one at the Tomb of the Unknown Traveler; I hope it respawns. I got the war bugle one accomplished, but I'm still short 3 seeker tokens. And I have no idea where to find a snakeskin purse.Shepenwepet wrote...

And don't worry about killing that griffon in the quest, I did it without even knowing about the Bluemoon tower thing, and I got up to the top (and the port crystals) while doing another quest for the Duke that leads there. One that involved tracking down a thief.

there's a stack of griffons in the game (mostly they fly around peacefully and you have to lure them down), but there's a quest griffon (which you'll get after see the duke) which is scripted to fly away to bluemoon tower - but if you're not careful you can kill it and it won't open the way to the top.

How many port crystals are there? If there's one at Bluemoon, are there any others (aside from Gran Soren)? Man, the wikis are terrible any time I try to look stuff up.

There is only one port crystal (other than the gran soren one), but you can keep picking it up and placing it wherever you like.
I think you can gift that portcrystal, too, if I'm not mistaken. I actually forged one, if only to make someone's day for about three seconds before they realize they've just received an unusable hunk of rock.
300000 gold well wasted.
And I have no idea where to find a snakeskin purse.
It's in a random fish/gather spot in a body of water. Could be the river, could be a healing spring, anywhere. Have fun with that, I know i did.<_<

Wow, really? A snakeskin purse is in some miscellaneous body of water, somewhere that there are fish? *sigh* Maybe I'll just forget about that quest. I'm not sure the reward is worth that insanity.
I found 5 pages of that adventurer's journal (1, 2, 3, 4, and final). Is that related to a quest?

^ Oh, I don't mean the Ferrystones themselves, I mean the actual location where you show up when you use a Ferrystone. I thought that was called a port...something or other. Heck, I don't know.
yes, a portcrystal. You get one in bluemoon tower, which you can
pick up and place anywhere, so when you use a ferrystone, you can pick
between gran soren and wherever you currently have the portcrystal. my explanation may have been a bit unclear, sorry

Don't look for it and you'll find it, or your pawns will. Or, be like me and scour every single inch of the river several times. Grr argh.

there are six in total, I think, and yes. The quest is called Search Party, which you get from Reynard. Not sure what triggers it, possibly just buying/selling stuff with him. OR it could be beating him over the head with a staff, which I did often.
@ShepnTali: I honestly don't remember what quest you mean. What's it called? I may have missed that one.

Actually, you can have up to ten port crystals. You can buy them from The Black Cat for 200,000 gold a piece and port crystals carry over into NG+, so you can get more from the Bluemoon Tower if you play the game multiple times.

Can you change your main character's physical build, or just their hair, brows, makeup, etc.? I think I want a little more ab action. XD
If you go back to The Encampment, there's a guy next to the riftstone that will sell you items for Rift Crystals. If you buy the Art of Metamorphisis from him, you can change anything about your main character's and your main pawn's appearance by exiting out of the game and clicking on the "Character Edit" option in the main menu. It's a one-use-only item, but you can buy Secret of Metamorphisis afterwards, which lets you edit your guys whenever you feel like it.

I'm pretty sure your LI is based off who you max out first, so long as that person stays maxed out.

If I'm thinking of the right quest... Just take the wakestone and use it on his son. He probably just isn't spawning for some reason.
