So enjoying the game immensely thus far. I have a question, though apologize if it already has been asked and answered, or it's in the manual and missed it, but how do you see comments or ratings of your pawn? (other players comments etc when they use your pawn) thanks in advance!

Whenever you sleep at an inn, if your pawn has been rented & returned you'll see a list pop up of everyone who rented them. You can select each name on the list (with square button on PS3) and it will open up a second window that will show that person's ratings, comments, etc.

If instead you just get a window with loot and no list of names, then you weren't really rented by another player. That's just the game throwing some freebies at you.

Cool, I had a friend use my pawn and sent me a much more powerful staff (very nice of them) for my pawn, but I must of gone to quick (smashing buttons to start journey or was amazed by the loot) to see that info or second window. Only way I new is that they sent a message via my friends list (x box 360) of what they had sent. Thanks for the info cutlass jack will be more careful when I'm at an inn and my pawns tells me they have been out and about.

the Ur-Dragon is in the everfall, yes. But,if you're in NG+ there's a riftstone on the beach in cassardis (Starfall Bay) that takes you right to him.

And if I remember right, I could be wrong, but the Frontier Caverns only open up when you get the quest to go there (not the Shadow Fort quest, it's an endgame notice board one), and from your post it sounds like you didn't do that one the first time around.

Thanks for the info will check it out as when i get to Cassardis again
and nope did not do the Frontier Caverns Quest last time but now i know  what to look for i will next time i get to the endgame

To those who own the game, I'm still waiting on a price drop or some ubber re-release with all the DLC, but I'm wondering has anyone bought any of the DLC and is it bad?

I've seen horrible raitings for almost all of it on XBL's Marketplace. I'm not sure if that might just be gamer rage, or if its really bad. I mean if its all bad then I can just ignore the DLC and buy the normal game when it hits like 15 bucks.

Well this is one DLC:

Capcom are releasing DLC to collect medals each week but there's no new enemies to kill. The DLC also costs $0.99 and there's going to be 8 of them. I'd imagine most DLC's from Capcom will be item packs, armor packs, weapon packs and maybe monster packs which spawn monsters into places that they normally wouldn't visit. However I think there will be some type of expansion or true add-on within a few months considering the map but I could be wrong.

Do we finally have a verdict on the situation with the map? From those of you playing, are there huge pieces locked off or are those portions of the map really just unscaleable mountains and the sea?

@android654 - they really are just sea/mountains. There are no blocked off sections. I can see how it would look that way to someone who just looked at the map, but it's all there from the get-go.

And yes, the dlc is pointless. I haven't bought it, but it's completely unnecessary.

I was merely wondering since that was my main reason for cancelling my pre-order I wanted to see that the verdict was on the map. I figured the DLC would've been pointless stuff like that since they announced so many in such a short period of time.

@Android it's a good game but not worth it at full price. The map is surprisingly small and since there really isn't nothing to do except explore and kill everything in sight I don't recommend buying it at $60.

spent the majority of the week struggling on an escort quest..every now and then deciding I had gone the wrong way and going back to an earlier checkpoint..
Tried to backtrack after seeing a dragon blocking the way ahead but finding a chimera and a large group of bandits blocking the way back,,,
Finally managed to get through the quarry to shadow fort (after struggling to kill bandits and evade ogres). Now someone else wants to be escorted there...this time kill all ogres first...

I did the same thing at first. I kept going the wrong way and getting lost or slaughtered.

bumping this thread as people may have forgotten:

The early access RE6 demo unlocks today (at least for Xbox 360), there's a code on the back of the Dragon's Dogma manual.

I'm downloading it now, it's 838 mb, which means about a four hour wait for me. :(

Bah, those bastards only made the demo accessible from the Dragon's Dogma main menu - I wasted my time acquiring this blasted token. Curse you, Capcom!

Bollocks to that. Have they anounced who you play as in the demo?

You get a quick taste of the three scenarios, you can play as Leon/Helena, Chris/Piers, and Sherry/Jake.

I played all three.... and am thoroughly disappointed. Chris' scenario is a bland squad-shooter, where you run across rooftops and get shot at, Leon's is just a lot of really slow walking around a banquet hall because the run button doesn't seem to respond, and Sherry's starts with a "run for your life" QTE. Aside from the QTE, Sherry's scenario was the only one I even moderately enjoyed.

I find the camera too low/close to your character, you can't see what's going on around you.

And if you don't know the controls, you have about a split second to see them on loading screens, and that's it.

My buddy and I HIGHLY enjoyed the demo. And we are vets dating back to RE1.

We can not wait for the game to come out, we are stoked. There are too many good things to list that we liked, I have to go to class soon, but here is video of us playing. I have to re-upload the Chris/Piers and Sherry/Jack arcs because the sound is off.

@ shepen: Sorry you did not enjoy it. But, this demo is good practice for the real game, once you get used to the controls the amount of freedom you have is AWESOME and makes the game epic.

The game looks very impressive on all levels to me, at least - and RE has never had good controls in the history on the entire series going all the way back to RE1. It's something you just have to get the swing of, especially the first few games in the series.

Anyway, I doubt I'm gonna get to play it - I'm not interested in Dragon's Dogma and I wouldn't buy it just to play a demo for a game that's coming out in a few months anyway. If I happen to come across someone who might let me borrow it, or perhaps a copy for rent, I might pick it up and try to download the demo - otherwise, I'm not gonna worry about it.

I've also been playing since RE1, I'm just one of those people that didn't really like the direction the series had taken. I think I'm in the minority when I say i didn't really care for RE4 that much.

I haven't played Operation Raccoon City, which apparently this game "feels like", according to others I've heard talking about it... but I can say that RE6 certainly feels different to other RE games. I can't quite put my finger on what it is...

I want to like RE6, I do. I didn't like RE5 to start with either, but I ended up having a blast with my brother playing the co-op campaign. We laughed ourselves to tears. He didn't get the demo, (despite pre-ordering DD, his manual didn't include a code, thanks capcom) and when I told him my impressions of the game he just said "you'll get it anyway." We do like our co-op Resident Evil.

I dunno, I'll give the demo another shot soon. Maybe I'm just having an off day.

Ummm...what the hell? Now I understand where complaints are coming from about RE6. If you can kill zombies with kicks...well then that's just ridiculous. They could have made the game faster paced but still with an emphasis on staying away from zombies and using guns. With RE6, I see people getting in close and personal with the zombies.

Combat doesn't look like anything new either.

I mean, I'm sure it's enjoyable but I'm not that big into shooters and I've never been a fan of RE anyway so I'll pass.

My buddy and I totally geeked out on the pause menu for Leon and Helena. They took good aspects from dead space.

Eh, I'm like MarchWaltz - I'm a longtime veteran of the RE series, but was actually pretty receptive to RE4 and the many changes it made to the RE formula. I also enjoyed the hell out of RE5, and it's honestly one of my favorites in the series now. So I'm not too put off by RE6 being real action-centric as long as it delivers the goods in the end.

I suppose we'll see soon enough if the game is worthy of its namesake - it comes out in October. I have good feelings about it, but I've been wrong before.

Damn, the ending is pretty original considering how lackluster the main quest is (at least until you encounter the Dragon, then it picks up tremendously). In Dragon's Dogma I truly felt like I broke a an eternal cycle, whereas in ME3 I felt more like I succumbed to the enemies whims instead of defeat them by my own hand.

I definitely recommend picking up this game at some point for the ending sequence alone; it truly is wonderful.

PS - It would've had more impact if the characters and setting had been fleshed out a bit more, but it's still decent all things considered.
