I still dig Barnaby, personally.I think it's his voice. I never did attempt to follow-through with a "romance" with him.
Barnaby romance:

Then, in the closing scenes of the game, your character becomes a transgender lesbian pedophile because you bought too much ale from a witch.
DRAGON'S DOGMA, ladies and gentlemen. It doesn't even make sense in context.
It WAS a fantastic game, though, which I remembered after playing a bit today. I'd been trying to get the hero achievement (complete all non-notice board quests), I've no doubt missed several again. Oh well, the ever-turning wheel...
I'm probably going to have to kill the offline Ur-dragon too. The last time I played I could barely touch the gen 28 dragon, I'm sure he's up to like 9005 by now.

Thank goodness for my friend's list and their awesome pawns though. They are levels 106 and 123 (I was able to get the exact same two pawns I had grown to know and love), and they keep saving me and my pawn's sorry low-level arses.

I am an idiot. My new game defaulted to Offline Mode. *sigh*happy_daiz wrote...
Then when I started the new game, and went into the rift in the encampment, the friends pawns link was greyed out. I figured that after the hydra fight, it would become available, but it didn't. I probably could have done a search, but called it a night. I'll try that when I get home later today.
And I think I'm over Barnaby. Can you romance that merchant that shows up in the encampment, along with Madeleine, and goes to Grand Soren after you do? He's kinda cute.
Edit: Found him! His name is Reynard.

Of course, his pawn is bright red, and has teal hair. And...barely any clothes.

I noticed last night that all of my friends' pawns are warriors. What's up with that? The only exception is my husband, and his saucy sorcerer, Lady Dejah (ala John Carter).
Deja Thoris in a Disney film should explain exactly why that movie could never work.
My pawn is currently a Warrior too. But only briefly so she can pick up some new abilities. She'll be back to her awesome Strider self later today. Of course that is of no real use to you since I'm on PS3.

In my new playthrough, my pawn (Gabrielle) is a Ranger specialization. Funny, so was my other one (Iorveth). I'm trying out the Sorcerer specialization on my own character, and am realizing just how squishy she is. I may switch over to being a Magick Archer at some point.

Yeah, that stinks. Isn't your pawn's name Spitfire, or something like that?

Good memory! Yeah the name will fit even better once I get my hands on one of the Fire Element bows I hear are in the Expansion areas.
Magick Archer is a darn fun class. Its a shame Pawns cant be one or mine absolutely would be. It would be my regular class if I didn't enjoy Assassin so much. (The only Cutlass using rogue type class)

I never did give the Assassin class much of a try, to be honest. IIRC, in my first playthrough, I switched to Assassin, got a couple of skills, and felt kind of exposed. That's the trouble with switching so far into the game like I did; the enemies can kick your arse if you're using noob skills.
And speaking of which, I totally got owned by those stupid bandits outside of Gran Soren last night. We were doing well, and suddenly there was one that my skills were doing no damage to. He ran over and one-shotted me. My character is only level 17 atm. If she was anything in the Strider class, they would be like butter on her blades.

It's a great deal for $40 - more so if you didn't buy the original game too - but still. I hadn't bought any of the DLC originally, so it's a little bonus to get that thrown in.

I started a new character for giggles. Mostly because I couldn't remember how to play, or where I'd left off in my first run.

A quick note, though...the new character customization options are not available right now (at least on xbox). Not sure when it will be fixed or ready to use.
From what I've heard you actually get them in game on the island, not via the usual DLC method. Havent actually gotten there yet so cant confirm.
I also heard that it only consists of 2 new hairstyles and 8 new haircolors. So meh.

The reason my pawn is a warrior (and a male) is because I like to play squishy classes like mage/sorcerer. I always need a big, strong warrior to protect me.
Both the pawns I employed are ladies; one is a warrior and the other is a strider. I act as healer, which is the only way I can keep my idiot pawn alive, since he likes to run off and die every chance he gets.

My first pawn:

His name is Crenshaw, named and modeled (as best i could) after this handsome specimen from the b-movie Boggy Creek II:

My second pawn:

^ This is Selwyn. In an effort to try and drum up interest in people hiring my pawn, I made him less ugly and less annoying. It helped for a bit, but now it's back down to just my brother and this one Arisen named Gideon who's been hiring my pawn since day 1.

I don't even play the game but from what I heard, you're supposed to RUN AWAY from that guy.
