Mate, my character is sexy and I say that as a straight man. He just has to stand there doing nothing and everyone will note upon how awesome he is. Rumour has it that he once killed a dragon by staring it in the eyes and if his sexiness isn't enough, he also has a badass beard.

And who needs a shield when you can kill foes before they even reach you? There's a reason the Mystic Knight has the shield on their back. They hardly ever need to use it and any foes that do get near get spammed with the strong regular attack combo, antler's toss and full moon slash.

My arisen once sat very quietly in a room by himself. Two pairs of Silk Lingerie appeared in his inventory as a result. Metal Golems throw themselves off cliffs if he raises an eybrow. His beard is dragonforged and his mustache once solo'd the online Ur Dragon... twice.

The warrior doesn't need special moves. The light attack kills nintey percent of the games enemies. Jumping heavy kills everything else.

The reason the Duke summoned his guards against my Arisen was because he had impregnated every woman (even the barren and the old) as soon as he walked through the gates to Gran Soren. Simply the act of seeing him causes women to fall pregnant with his children. The Seneschal killed himself with the Godsbane blade as soon as he saw my Arisen walking towards him because even a god knows not to mess with him. His final words were "please have mercy on my soul".

Melee is all very well and good but it becomes vain when you realize that intellect can allow you to manipulate the matter around you. Warriors and fighters need to climb giant enemies to attack their weak spots and archers need their bows. The Mystic Knight need only summon some magical cannons enchanted by fire or ice magic to fell a Cyclops, chimera or ogre within seconds and all while standing in the same spot and without breaking a sweat. Thus I conclude:

Mystic Knight > All Vocations.

In truth my Arisen is so awesome that he has actually manifested into reality. If you don't purchase the game he will come for you.

My Arisen figured Shinon, Gabrielle and Gabrielle had got a bit tired of the darkness of Bitterblack so he took them to the beach of Cassardis to chill out. Naturally being an important man the village priest came whining to him about some problems and the three pawns were left to enjoy the beach amongst themselves.



Nice view eh Carcharoth? I bet you wish your Arisen was mine right now eh?



They look like they're having a great time.

Shinon even praised the sun.



Happy's Gabrielle nearly drowned though. Luckily my Arisen turned up at the right time to save her.

Shinon's all about jolly cooperation. Except when my Arisen is being devoured by a maneater and he's too busy mining about three feet away. She died. He got some rubicite.

And then stuff happened between them...

And this is the start of the next expansion, Dragon's Dogma: Sweetwhite Peninsula. Don't do it, guys. It'll all end in tears. And giant demons.


So last night I finally encountered my first Strigoi. For some reason, it didn't have a visible health bar so I couldn't see if I was actually damaging it.


Upon entering Tower of Treasons Repaid, my Arisen was swarmed by a strigoi (still with no health bar) and about four succubi. My pawns had all been tossed off the bridge and killed. It took about ten minutes and a wakestone to get out of there, I rarely had a chance to move. Forget trying to fire off a skill, you're grabbed before it charges. By far the cheapest encounter in the entire game.

I ended up with two bloodred crystals, apparently one of the strigoi I encountered never had a chance to suck blood. I was kinda bummed about that, as Strigoi are apparently rare. But whatever, I revived my pawns and gathered up all the loot until I was overencumbered and couldn't pick up this godly analeptic.

Sure, I could move my inventory onto the rest of my pawns, but I waited here to see if anyone would pick it up. You'd think they would, considering half the time I open chests, someone leaps over me before I have the time to loot it, says "I'll take that" and swipes whatever it is.

Nobody picked it up. I had to redistribute my garbage.

I liftstoned and rested, finding a third bloodred crystal sent by Carcharoth. I don't know how you knew, but thanks. Quest complete.

Aww, so sweet! You're probably right about the tears and giant demons.

And I'm sorry about Gabrielle's outfit. I got some new stuff that I was excited to try on, but I wasn't sure if you guys had gotten the new armor DLC, and would be able to see it. I had her dolled up in a new black robe, which is open in the front...and paired it with her swanky Delta Guard and a Maiden's Camisole. It left little to the imagination. I ultimately decided she should wear some clothes. Sorry.

Must have been. I don't connect to online much mainly because it means that resting takes long because the server has to load afterwards and I'm too lazy to change the settings everytime I rest so I just stay offline.

I sent you a rock and golden talisman too. Apparently I couldn't send you any staves because "support pawns cannot use this equipment" but your pawn's current equipment seemed top notch anyways so I doubt you would have had any use for the mage stuff I had acquired.

In any case what was meant to be a party just to mess around in has actually turned into the party to face Damian. Shinon and Gabrielle actually seem useful and helpful and both have fought Damien before right? Hopefully they learnt a thing or two. I know absolutely nothing about this geezer so I'm going in ignorance.

I'll be sure to include a picture of Damian having his ass kicked in my next post.

Happy's Gabrielle can seduce anything with a pulse, a few things without a pulse and the occasional creature that couldn't have had a pulse to begin with. Briana is jealous of Gabrielle when she isn't busy ogling or attempting to murder her. Gabrielle can distract Elder Ogres. When she kills you, you must resist the urge to thank her for it. You'll fail, but you should still make the attempt.

And don't get me started on Shinon. The Brine was taken by Shinon. He then snarked at it for a week. Shinon once ran out of arrows. He fired himself from his bow and killed several Gorecyclops. Shinon sang a song about a faraway land and a magical sword while stealing cereal. He received an encore and sold out Broadway. Gransys doesn't even have a Broadway, but it was sold out anyway.

My Arisen maxed out the affinity of three countries. He rescued Aelinore from the Blighted Manse. When she offered to sleep with him, he declined. He slew Grigori in Cassardis. The hydra apologized for waking him up and agreed to return only after the arisen had his morning coffee. My Arisen could convince Prince to play Dark Arisen, but he doesn't want to force the issue.

@Shepnwepet. Who doesn't love gifts of solidified demon-bat blood?

Wow, I didn't realize Gabrielle was a seductress! I did try to make her nice to look at, and if that helps distract Elder Ogres, I have succeeded!

I was able to get her the Attunement augment for more Magick, but noticed that there's also another augment in Sorcerer that might help. Maybe it's the same one; I'll have to look it up. She's at 9/10 in Sorcerer, so I might have to play that for a bit tonight to max it, then switch her back to mage.

Hehe, I played for a little bit last night with Shinon (after watching 3 episodes of the new season of Dexter that just came out on DVD), and noticed that he is quite the packrat. Unfortunately, he can't carry much before he's at Average weight, which I think makes him a little sad. He might benefit from a teensie little bit of Fighter training (for Sinew). ;-)
