I was able to get her the Attunement augment for more Magick, but noticed that there's also another augment in Sorcerer that might help. Maybe it's the same one; I'll have to look it up. She's at 9/10 in Sorcerer, so I might have to play that for a bit tonight to max it, then switch her back to mage.

Attunement
Magick Attack is increased by 10%.
Can be stacked with other Augments that increase Magick Attack.
Acuity

Hehe, I played for a little bit last night with Shinon (after watching 3 episodes of the new season of Dexter that just came out on DVD), and noticed that he is quite the packrat. Unfortunately, he can't carry much before he's at Average weight, which I think makes him a little sad. He might benefit from a teensie little bit of Fighter training (for Sinew). ;-)
He has sinew, the pawn before him was exclusively fighter/warrior, but I keep forgetting to put it on him. I'm so in a rush to see what my cursed items are when I get out of BBI, everything else I plan on doing just flies out the window. (Then I rage when I get my 13th Dragon's Glaze instead of the Dragon's Tempest I've been hoping for. Maybe if I chuck Shinon into the ocean that'll up my chances.)
He certainly could use sinew, considering the last time I emptied his inventory he had seven pounds worth of diamonds. I've already taken away his pickaxe twice. He finds new ones. I might as well give him my light pickaxe, that'll cut down his weight at least a little.
Can't stay mad at him, though. He's he best main pawn I've ever had.

I do like it when he pretty much instantly says "this object...t'is cursed" when a BBI item drops. I'd miss them if he didn't, especially ones that fall in dark rooms.

I just got home and brought your pawn Leslie on a Daimon run. For a ranger, she has quite a bit of moxie, because she climbed up a Chained Gorecyclops and yelled to "gouge out his eye" while I was trying to skip through the dungeon to get to Daimon, haha.

Your pawn is probably the best mage I've used. Her heal power is great and she has enough health to actually be of use in combat, even though she mostly gave support (which was much appreciated since Leslie prefers daggers to bows and the other on our team was a warrior).

But now, it's over, and I know what to do next time. He was a pushover. Magick Archer + Liquid Vim = lots of dead monsters.
After the fight, we walked out and talked to the other Arisen, and went down below (by the dock) to loot. Every last one of my pawns got stuck on that stupid picnic table. Each time, I had to pick them up and get them out of there. Then each time I did that, another one walked around the back, and got stuck there.
I think Shinon started it.

And now, I have that second pathway open in BBI. Hooray!
I went a little ways into the next area (with the braziers you could light), and was just about to quit for the night, when an Elder Ogre showed up.

That's my boy
So last night Alynna and Shinon got in an argument over his mining addiction. She said he needed to get his priorities straight, he said he's collecting diamonds to eventually bedazzle his Revenant Wail, once he gets one. When she asked him to hand over the pickaxe, he turned on her.

Briana and Gabrielle stayed out of it, deciding instead to focus on the giant wyrm that was trying to eat them.

I'm glad to know my pawn was doing her job!
Oh, and in regard to that Bishop/Cursed Dragon fight, I watched a youtube video on it, and it took the guy 13 minutes to defeat them. All of his pawns ended up turning to stone, until he was the last one standing. All he brought for curatives were base-level Greenwarish (he had 50, I think), and it was the most tedious thing I've ever seen.
In my case, my husband was watching me play, and got up to go to the bathroom - when he came back, I already had the Bishop down to one health bar. Liquid Vim is my new favorite item to have on hand.

Briana doesn't get possessed. She's merely persuaded to attack her allies in order to keep things interesting.happy_daiz wrote...

Shinon was eaten by a wraith. I had no idea they could do that.

Strange that they only seem to attack the Arisen when possessed, and leave the other pawns alone.
Aww, poor Shinon.

I'm kind of excited to be exploring a new (to me) part of BBI. All that knowledge Team BSN has acquired will be quite helpful, I'm sure.
I'm also having fun collecting new materials, and further enhancing dragonforged gear. Now I wish I had more stuff ready to enhance, but dang it, I like what I'm wearing (part of the Trophy armor set). I can't wait to get the rest of the pieces. Somehow I ended up with the torso portion and 2 pairs of Trophy boots. And nothing else yet.

Speaking of killing Daimon, Awakened Daimon just fell to Team BSN.
Some unexpected help came from Shinon's gold rarefied Sapfire Daggers. Awakened Daimon apparently is susceptible to lowered defense. So woo.
I never brought any demon periapts (because I forgot, I have tons of them in storage) but next time I will remember to load up. For some reason only my default attack with the magick bow did any noticeable damage, ninefold bolt was useful for stopping him from trying to pull my pawns into the rift, but it did no damage. Perhaps it's the element attached to all my skills. I dunno. Anyway, constantly picking away at him worked for a while. The problems started when High Seism joined the party.
Pawns started falling, pillars started breaking, I was down to one wakestone...
Then he tried to open a rift portal. I stunned him, we all charged. Shinon sapped him, and his last two bars of health disappeared in the span of a few seconds.
We did it, guys!

Since they seemed interested in having a picnic with Happy, I decided I'd treat them to one. We were having a great time until SPIDERS STARTED FALLING FROM THE SKY.

Gabrielle may have mild arachnophobia.

Also, I HAD NO IDEA YOU COULD PICK UP SPIDERS. I named this one Webster. I dropped him and he died.

Death scythed this firedrake and it didn't die. Shenanigans. And weird buggy anodynes.

"Shinon, forget the damn diamonds! Get back here and help us!"
"'Go get the damn diamonds'? Right away, master!"
ten minutes later...

"So an elder ogre showed up and knocked everyone else off the bridge. I almost died. What did you get?"
"Three rocks and a pretty stone. I'm starting to think this isn't an ore deposit at all."
Everyone that hires Shinon is required to put a pickaxe in his inventory. You won't get the full Shinon experience if you don't. He might grab the one that's sitting on a crate or table outside the entrance.
He won't run off during fights to go mine, but he WILL start mining the living hell out of everything once the monsters are cleared. Be careful in the dark underground prison-ish section that has lots of ore deposits by chests, though. He will mine as you are killed by a maneater. Sure, he'll shout that he's coming to help, but he isn't.
It's all good, though. Look at the two of them. How adorable are they?

They even look over each other's equipment and make sure everything's in working order...

...and now some craziness to help you forget what you just saw.

He's down to less than half a bar and hasn't popped up in quite a while. When he does show up, it's with a horde of friends that I have to deal with first, like two living armors and a bunch of vile eyes. Come on out, Death, y'big sissy.
And here's Gabrielle, sporting the hot ticket item in Gransys, the Rat Hat. It might smell a bit, it might give you rabies, but it's affordable AND comfortable. Not advisable to be worn near harpies, who may mistake your lovely chapeau for breakfast..

And last but not least, sometimes I wish subtitles would show up in screenshots, as Shinon's line a few seconds before this shot was "I'll grab hold of it!" Both of their expressions are golden. They're actually trying to keep their balance due to a fallen gorecyclops right in front of them. From behind it looked like they were doing a silly little dance, so I figured I'd grab a shot. Looked a little different from the front. I guess they're even now.
