211 cm, 115 kg male. I sex-changed him for a while so I could dragonforge Briana's delta guard and lost 40 kg of carrying capacity despite using identical sliders.
For Speedrun you start in Cassardis, at the beginning of the game, and try to beat the main quest as fast as possible. I don't recommend trying it until you have a portcrystal network set up at important locations, copies of any quest items you need and a maker's finger for Grigori. You also want 21 wakestones prepared for your two trips into the everfall.

I may have to do this.

For reasons.  B)

I wonder what the cutoff time is for the rewards? I know I don't have a lot of the quest items, but I'm sure I can shave off a lot of time by not putzing around and skipping lots of quests. I've got a portcrystal network, that's the biggie.

That's it. Tonight. I'm doing it.

I'm considering it, too. I have the portcrystals at key locations, so that would help. Not sure anymore which quest items I'd need, but I did make use of the Black Cat pretty often.

I only have about a week and a half to blaze through all of this stuff, until I get distracted. Remember Me is out on June 2.

I think I'm heading for a gaming dry spell until...gosh... October?

Wow, there's gotta be something before then.

Dressing Shinon up in the Barnaby outfit?;)

I think the longest time I've seen reported was an hour and fortyish minutes. I screwed up a few times and got slightly more than 42 minutes.

Most people do The Cypher and either A Fortress Besieged or Seeking Salvation. I made five forgeries of the slates from The Watergod's Altar instead. Ran in, found the body, ran out and handed over the slates. The nice thing about Speedrun mode is that it doesn't realy use up the items from your main save. The maker's finger I used to OHK Grigori was still there when I got back to normal gameplay.

So what kind of rewards do you get for doing Speedrun? I am apparently very much in the dark about these things. Posted Image

Just the Selene and Barnaby outfits. The Duke's clothing for beating hard mode has the best stats, but it's still nothing special.

I'd be happier with Barnaby living in my house; I don't need his outfit, hehe. Posted Image

Instead, I got that saucy thong-selling vixen. Ah, well.

Consider yourself fortunate. I have a tiny, drops-thong-because-of-hat, damsel in distress rooming with Selene. I just wanted the hero achievement...

I'm at Damion now. He's putting up a tough fight. Killed me once with void spell (I didn't know it was instant death) and again when I got carried away and just spammed a weapon skill beneath him (he was down to two health bars) and then he summoned ice spires which froze my character, before I could do anything I was dead (as your resistances and decreases when frozen and I was right under him so a few attacks later and I was down to 0 HP).

Third time though now. I know Damion's movesets. He's dead. I'm not going to bother with anything magical as he doesn't really allow for you to cast anything. Thankfully my Mystic Knight is more of a physical warrior rather than a magical one so I do a lot of damage to Damion with just my weapon alone. When Damion powers up, it gives me time to cast Abysmal Anguish for extra damage.

Can't wait to see the new BBI and the enemies within.

Oh, is this your first time fighting Daimon? Hold onto your butts, the second time through BBI is a bumpy ride!

It's going to take the ox this long to get to Gran Soren. I keep yelling at him that he needs to get moving, I've smacked him around some, but he's still calmly sauntering down the trail.

What's the deal?

I kicked it the entire way and jumped off things so my mage would heal me and the ox when I stood in it's path.

Well, everything that could have went wrong went wrong. (I have no maker's finger as I slept through fournival's trial and he was found guilty, I had no portcrystal at the mountain waycastle, no wyrmking's ring forgery...I was so unprepared for this) I'm currently at 1:05:32 and only just starting the Final Battle quest now.

Who did Grigs take this time? I'm guessing Mercedes. Place your bets, folks.

I made a checklist of everywhere I was going and what I would need on the way. The only thing I didn't think of was to place a portcrystal on the hill the griffin shows up at. Ferrystoned to the watergods altar before speaking to the priest and had to go back and forth. Tried double vaulting over where the bridge is supposed to be and failed... twice. Tried carrying Aldous up the stairs to the duke and got arrested. You should know, you can ignore the duke and just jump into the everfall.
He took Mercedes for me. She was the only person I spoke to with high affinity.

Grigs took Barnaby as I never spoke to anyone at all except quest-relevant people. And since Selene probably got murdered by an angry mob, he was in the ending cutscene as well.

I shook my head when I realized that hey, I can just leave after the camera shows Aelinore in the garden. I don't know why I never did that before.

Still need the hero achievement, though, so I still need damsel in distress.

I also still need Servitude. Well, there's another reason to go back and just listen to the seneschal talk.

She's got the big, stompy golems. I assume she'd be alright.

You really wanted to give away that hat?

No, what in blazes would make you think I'd do that?

Shinon: Just look into the camera, dude. She's gonna take our picture.
Barnaby: Why? Look, I don't have time for this. I'm supposed to go walk over by the notice board and stand there for a few minutes. If I don't do that, I'll lose my job as head of the pawn guild.

Anyone have tips on how to beat the dark arisen's second form? The pawns are saying to strike his stomach face but it doesn't seem very effecting. I'm lvl 109 magick archer trying the hundred kisses while grabbing on strategy.

If you have conqueror's periapts, take those. Or...

Shepenwepet wrote...

My strategy as a magic archer is this: as soon as the fight starts, fire
off a ninefold bolt. If you notice it's doing no damage, as mine wasn't
the first time, switch to basic attacks. If they don't do damage, run like hell and level up. Periapt popping may help here too.

Pick
away at him until he tries to open a rift portal, shout "go" at your
pawns and fire off a ninefold bolt. This will stun him, and your pawns
will absolutely devour him when he falls to the ground. So... pretty
much the same as normal daimon.

I had lots of trouble with
Awakened's shadow-arm grab that he seems to do when you're a certain
distance away from him. It did far too much damage, as my defense is
pretty much all magical. As an archer, my instinct was to be far away,
but I couldn't,because he kept spamming that and I couldn't dodge it and
aim at the same time. Stay close to him and he doesn't seem to do it as
much.

I don't climb on him because I'm terrible at it, but maybe that's something you aren't
terrible at. I mainly stick to ninefold bolt when he's airborne and
explosive volley when he's down or when my pawns are doing the climbing.

Hide behind pillars when he charges. Smough taught me well.

I didn't end up playing last night. But I'm looking forward to a 3-day weekend, jam-packed with some DA!

I really should be using Hundred Kisses as a dagger skill. I think I've been mostly sticking to Cutting Wind, and...umm...apparently that's the only dagger skill I actually use, since I can't remember the others. I notice lately I've been opting to hang back, and snipe at a distance.
