Man, I am so loving this game again! I've got just at 70 hours on the clock now. It makes me a little sad to think about how much further along I would be if my save hadn't gotten corrupted, but oh well. At least I made it to lvl 40, and I think I was only 32 on my first try.

I also finally got the share feature to work, so here are some random pictures I took earlier. It's really hard to get the pawns to cooperate for a group pic. I finally gave up lol.

My Arisen, Nova.

Sexy pawns. Oh yeah, and my character...and the sorcerer in the water you can barely see.

Next time I'll try to actually get some decent shots to share. :P

Hello, I have only just come across this thread and some really helpful hints here.

I would be grateful for some advice. My pawn has maxed out as a fighter and warrior and I was wondering if I should change vocation? I am currently level 47 and have completed all Aldous orders (have yet to do Bitterblack Isle).

My Arisen was a mage, now a Magick Archer (nearly at max). Thinking about changing to Sorcerer. Would that be wise?

Thanks :-)

Fighters and warriors could always use stamina gains from being a ranger. One of the sorcerer augments will increase your magick defense.

Sorcerer has the highest magick gains and some extremely useful augments for any magick based vocation. Some (all) of the others here are more familiar with magick classes than I am, but that should get you started on the right track

Thank you, I will have a switch around later today.

Really enjoying the game and always looking for new pawns.  I see that some people  have given their gamertags. Would you mind if I sent a friend request so I can use your pawns (as you are on much higher levels)?

Thanks :)

There are ways around this. You can either A) go to the pawn guild riftstone, exit, and take a picture,
Posted Image

B) talk to them while they're standing close together to freeze them in that spot for a few seconds
Posted Image

or C) use the "come" command to make them crowd around you. They tend to mill about with this, so talk to them.
Posted Image

Edit: @Newschmoo, yep, friend request it up. I'll only be on later to accept it though.

I second what Carcharoth said, and I would expand on it by saying that I think you should max out every vocation. Just my humble opinion, of course, but there are a lot of core skills to be gained, as well as augments. Each class has something that  is helpful for both that vocation, and pretty much every other one. Like Sinew. Best augment ever for a hoarder like me!

If you're going to change vocations, might as well do it now. The best stat increases happen before level 100. I posted this stat growths link a few pages ago, but I think it's really helpful if you're a numbers type of person.

Also, once you do start Bitterblack, there are some rare items that you won't be able to acquire unless you switch up your vocation from time to time. The gear is based on the color of you and your pawn's vocation at the time you pick it up. So...if you're trying to pick up a pretty ring for your mage/sorcerer pawn (blue), you might want to go there as a Mystic Knight (red/blue) or Magick Archer (yellow/blue) so that odds may hopefully be in your favor for blue/blue. If that makes sense.

Also, feed free to add me, (GT: HappyDaiz73) if you want. Shepenwepet and Carcharoth are higher level than me, but I'm working on it. I believe I'm at level 120 now.

@Bekkael - did you get the Lambent Shield I gifted?

Here's your boy using it. My Arisen was showing him how to chuck spiders at the time.

He and Chase both helped a girl out, when she stupidly opened a chest herself.

In the room before the Forgotten City (I can never remember the name), one of the drakes got caught in the hallway, and started playing peek-a-boo with us.

That was it for our escapades last night. I'm debating on whether we're up for the Forgotten City. The last two times I went there, it was a slaughter fest, and not in a good way.

GT is the same as my name here. I've run out of Everfall loot to give away but if there's some end-game store bought armor or weapons you want dragonforged, feel free to ask.

Thanks for the tips! Gosh you're all on really high levels! Will send some requests.

I have switched my pawn 'Thomas' to a Ranger (he's already gone up to the third level in under an hour!) I have switched Arisen to a Sorcerer and will may do Mystic Knight next. I hoard everything!

@happy_Diaz thanks for the stats link. I will check it out! Thanks for the advice about Bitterblack Isle.

@Newschmoo - I have Everfall gear I can gift you, if you wished to add me to your friendlist (GT: FlattestFlea726).

And for anyone I have rented pawns from as of late: I don't have much BBI gear, but if anyone is interested in armor for purely aesthetic reasons, hit me up. There's a chance I might have something you are interested in. I have Everfall gear and regular loot gear (some of them are favorites of mine, even if stat-wise, the are a tad weak, and I usually have duplicates).

Oh, and I switched Chase to Warrior for a bit. Was hammering out a few of the quests in Gransys, that came with DD:DA. Hopefully Briana will "Have learned of Beasts", when all is said and done. :D

@Shepenwepet - those snaps are awesome! :wizard: I just love your pics; especially the ones with Gabs in them. Hehe.

Oh, and I finally got that Moonshimmer Pelt today. Thanks again! And whoever gave me the BBI level 3 armor, thank you, too! I got the Oblivion Gauntlets. All I need in that set now are the boots. Yay!

I think we're going to stain the deck for a bit, so I'll be back on later.

Before I peruse the thread and catch up, just wanted to think everyone who sent Arya back with gifts *kisses* I have been running her around as a warrior for a bit, but I really prefer her as a fighter. And oh gosh how I LOATHE playing as a sorcerer. I got up to level 4 (er, the red dots, not sure what that's called) before switching back to magick archer. I should probably play sorcerer though for more augments, yes? My arrows still don't feel all that strong.

So here's a question. I've been following the wiki to make sure I'm hitting all the quests. I've missed a lot of the escort and character specific quests, but oh well. Mason also disappeared and never returned, even though I did the quest where I killed the cult leader. I've just now completed Pride before the Fall, and I think all that's left is main quests and end game stuff.

Am I missing anything? Are there more quests in the Everfall? And of course I know there is the Bitterblack Isle stuff, but I'm saving that until I'm stronger.

I changed a couple of things for Gabs - gave her a ponytail, and a boob reduction. Those things were enormous. I put Trophy Armor on her, and those things looked ridiculous.

Oi, where are you able to do boob reduction? At the barber shop, I only see facial and skin changes possible. Is it also possible somewhere to change the body? (gait, boobs, weight, etc.)

p.s. I love Gabs... she is the only mage on my friends' list!

At the Encampment there is a man named Jonathan. He's in the big tent next to the rift stone. He sells things for RC. Two of the items allow you to change you and your pawns appearance. A one time use item called the Art of Metamorphosis is available at any time. The Secret of Metamorphosis is only available after beating Grigori but it's permanent and available from the main menu afterwards.

@motomoto - I finally got DD:DA last Wednesday. So yup, go ahead and friend me, and we can swap. ;)

Sorcerer will give you the best augment for raising your magic level. That will make your Magick Archer's bow more powerful (since it relies primarily on magic over strength). But, it does mean you need to tough it out on Sorcerer until it is leveled. Easiest way to do this, is to find an area that has a lot of lower level baddies (the hill that sits above Gran Soren....path to it from the path that takes you back to the encampment/Cardaris...has a number of goblins), and get to killin'. This will level up your vocation relatively quickly, while not raising your overall level too fast.

Thanks, Car, and I will add you soon, coldy :D And yep, I am toughing it out on sorcerer right now. Decide to wander through the forest to see what kind of monsters I encounter, and sure enough a lovely chimera stalks into view just begging to be slaughtered! Well I hardly had to do any work at all; Gabrielle was pretty much happy to one-shot kill it after the snake and goat were dead LOL! That leveled me up.

So we're wandering through the forest some more; it's nighttime now, and of course, "GOBLINS DESU!" screams Arya (LOL) (I love the Japanese voices) so yay, I'm fighting some goblins, pew! pew! pew! goes my staff, when suddenly HOLY SH!T WHAT THE FCUK IS THAT?!???!?!!? It is a DRAGON, yes, a fcuking DRAGON. I am freaking out, raising pawns from the dead, left and right (proud to say that Arya died the least lol). But FINALLY we kill this sucker, and Arya levels up, and I'm SO PROUD OF ME AND HER, we killed our first dragon (with the help of Briana and Gabrielle LOL)

Whew! :wizard:

I think I goofed. In the Everfall I turned in the quest for the wakestones and now I can't explore the rest of the Everfall and fight the Ur Dragon till NG+ correct?

If this is the case, would anybody happen to have any MK armor from the Everfall they wouldn't mind giving me. I'm guessing I should just move on to BBI but the only gear I have from Everfall that I can use with a MK is a mace and magic shield so all I have is pre-Grigori armor that is dragonforged.

My gamertag is: oknenah live

^ Yeah, from what I've heard, once you've done the wakestone quest, that's pretty much it. Game over. I haven't tried it myself, but I don't enjoy the fact that the game kind of trolls you into it. Are you able to continue playing? If you can actually go to Bitterblack, you might as well. Although you can pick up new quests on notice boards there, and some require you go to back to different areas in Gransys, which you might not have access to now.

Also, there's lots of new loot in BBI - like really good loot, including armor, weapons, light pickaxes/lanterns, "special" augments, potions, etc. Be sure to go to the online store via Olra, if even to just download the DLC armor previews. The latest one had a couple of good pieces, and a couple of stinkers. I kinda regret that purchase.

But don't bother buying rift crystals. You'll be swimming in them once you go through BBI. I have over 7 million right now.

motomotogirl wrote...

Uh-oh, don't send her back to the rift, if you like her as a mage. She's a Ranger now. Posted Image

Glad to hear she's doing well for you! I switched her vocation, because she kept casting right in front of enemies, and it was driving me nuts. Now I'm rolling an all-Archer squad, with my Arisen as Magick Archer.

I have a bunch of Boots of Oblivion and nothing else from that set. Crazy how that works. Full Shadow set, though.

I also picked up a Level 3 Armor that turned out to be the three Hellfire Cloaks (at least they're not that OTHER cloak), so I quit, it's still in my inventory. I'll toss it your way, if it's something you already have, you could reload and chuck it back, and we could keep going until someone gets something they want. I think.

Here's some more pics!

Ya I can still continue playing. I'm going to do BBI and explore more post-game Gransys. It's kind of a bumber tho because I only did 5 or so areas of Everfall and didn't fight the Ur-Dragon. Oh well I guess, I'm most certainly going to be doing NG+ so I will just do it then
