No, Shinon, that's just the game's logo! Watch out for the hellhound!

Shinon's attempting to distract the hellhound with his ab's. It worked to well.

C-C-C-cockatrice????  *scared!!* :crying:

(In other news, thank you for Arya's awesome red coat!!! She looks great in it. :D I do love Team Sexy babelicious look LOL but for some reason Arya is more of an Aveline type. She's all about the unisex full armor.)

Okay, so I couldn't quite figure out how to take a photo without sending it to my FB. So I did it the good old fashioned way! Thus, excuse the quality lol

Posted Image

Lots of butt-staring in this pic. Arya is staring at Gabrielle's butt, who is staring at my Arisen Dai's butt. Briana is too good (ofc) for anyone's butt.

We are off to deal with this "Deny Salvation" business.

I've set my DD album on Facebook so that it's only viewable by me. I'm sure if I didn't set it that way people would either start to hide my posts or grow Concerned.

Just upload one photo then switch the privacy settings to ¨only me¨.

Oh okay, great advice! I'll have to do that super late at night, because I swear there are people on FB who respond to something I've posted like 5 seconds after it's gone up lol

When I started playing yesterday, I'd left off at the Fallen City, with Death in the distance. I still haven't killed that bugger.

Posted Image

We fast traveled to Gran Soren to visit the forger, and saw this thing out of the corner of my eye. Can you imagine him following you around?

I guess Gabs was feeling camera shy, too.

Also, we were fighting a Gorechimera, along with a bunch of goblin shamans - we focused on the goblins, because they were closest, and their spells are annoying. At one point, I heard Gabrielle say something about the gc's (snake) tail growing back. She seemed surprised, as did I.

That is so weird; I had no idea their parts would grow back if you took too long to kill them. Posted Image

Also, do you guys know if you can forge Daimon's Claw? I'm guessing no. I want to upgrade my Blackwing Bow to gold, but I only have two claws, and I'd hate to burn them up, and regret it later.

I know, I could rectify it by just fighting Daimon again, but the memories...

A wyrm I fought yesterday regained a couple health bars when I let the pawns fight it for a while. I didn't know they could do that.

^ I didn't know that, either. Posted Image

I would be eternally grateful! Although if I can just visit my buddy at the Black Cat, no worries. It's just so tedious trying to find stuff in my inventory when getting ready to forge something. It took me a loooong time to find that Moonshimmer Pelt in there yesterday.

I'm finding that Wyrms and Wyverns, as well as Cursed Dragons, are pretty easy now. But the drakes in BBI...good lord, they always seem to be in pairs for me, and take forever to kill.

I should have snapped a pic of it, but I spent most of one fight just shooting them down, so my pawns could beat them up. It was like slow motion whack-a-mole.

For making forgeries and giving gifts they should have stuck with the old method of only using items in your inventory. I don't like sifting through the 1000+ items in storage.

They still kill me often enough, but I'm usually standing right in front of them.

You know what monster I hate? Strigoi.
Posted Image

As a magick archer, I'm at my best at range. One ninefold bolt will take care of one strigoi, so they're not a problem if they're just flying around and minding their own business. But if they see me, they charge right at me, and ninefold bolt never has the time to fire. Hopping around and swiping with daggers isn't very effective when there's two or three of these guys all around me. I can't outrun them, as they're faster than me. My only hope is to get into a small room with a low ceiling and just blindly hack away, usually near a door or in one of those cells in Midnight Helix.

As for dragon-types, I have most trouble with Wyrms, especially in pairs. The last time, one just spammed frigor until I died. I couldn't move. In fact, I think it was right after I took this shot that the frigor-spam started.
Posted Image

Wyverns are okay, as I'm not a climber and thus don't get zapped. It's a little annoying in the Fallen City when I shoot one out of the sky and it lands like this, though. They're only down for a few seconds, not enough time for any decent skills to charge.
Posted Image
Or then there's this at Bluemoon Tower.
Posted Image

I find drakes the easiest, a few shots to the heart with a ninefold bolt (it's an ice attack) and they're dead. Did you ever manage to find the ring to boost that, Happy? Handiest skill in my arsenal. Nearly instantly kills eliminators, gorecyclops and living armor. For everything else, there's ricochet hunter.

Have I mentioned that I love the magick archer class?

One last pic. I was serious about the eye poking.

I just finally ran into Strigoi for the first time last week. I'd been wondering where they were hiding, and you're right, they're tough if you can't get a ranged shot pulled off. Most of them fell into the water, as we encountered them on a bridge. They took any loot they would have had with them.

Yeah, with those, you have to keep moving, pretty much constantly. I find myself spending a lot of time looking at the ground when they're around. Posted Image

I didn't get that ring yet. I did manage to pick up my first Magick Archer ring (it's about time!), and a couple of Daggerist rings, but I didn't get anything for ninefold bolt. I got 2 sapfire daggers over the weekend, and those seem to work a little better than what I was using, with pretty much every enemy. Maybe my luck will change with drakes now?

You and me both, sister. You and me, both.

Haven't encountered "Strigoi" yet. Was looking through Chase's Bestiary list, and saw about 5 different "unknown" enemies. Hmmm...besides the obvious Damion, and now the Strigoi, I wonder what other fiendish monster I shall run into. ;)

Thanx to all who have taken Chase out for a bit, and for the goodies!! :) I have gotten really lucky with the gifts.....very generous bunch. Offer is still on the table for any regular/Everfall armor pieces (if you are going for a particular "look"). As I become more comfortable with farming BBI, I will start gifting the cursed items (still haven't made it through to Damion yet). I keep going back and forth between BBI and doing new quests that came with DD:DA in good ole Gransys.

Currently running Chase as a Sorcerer (playing as a Mystic Knight right now). I really miss playing Assassin. Magick Archer is definitely well suited for BBI, but I love carrying a single long sword and a bow. It is my preferred play style as an Assassin. Now if I could just "double jump" as an Assassin, I'd be UNSTOPPABLE.

:D

I always miss Instant Reset and Double Vault when playing as a warrior.

@Bekkael - did you get the Lambent Shield I gifted?

Here's your boy using it. My Arisen was showing him how to chuck spiders at the time.

Yes! Thank you so much, I've been squeeing a lot over all the lovely gifts you guys have been spoiling me with. <3

I didn't get to play at all the last couple of days due to extreme busyness, but as soon as I carve out some more free time I'll be back at it.

Please feel free to send me a friend request to any of you who haven't. I would love to have more DD friends. :D

I'm about to go fight the dragon. Should I be scared? :-s So far having Briana and Mage!Gabrielle with me has made everything so fun and easy, but I'm getting nervous. I'm reading online that it took some people 40 minutes to kill him. My hands would break first!

Huh. Very confusing... I ran to pick up my LI, and then not knowing what to do, ran towards the dragon. He asked me if I was going to sacrifice my LI! Er, no. So I turned the game off, just in case lol.

I guess next time I'll grab him and run the other direction. o.O

Whaaaat... Briana got stuck behind a crumbling wall and DIED. No way to get to her and revive her. So I had to restart the whole damn fight. I hate when crap like that happens!

Something about magick bows with bowstrings made of juice.

happy_daiz fight with him was over pretty quickly IIRC. I fought the online Ur-dragon for 18 hours with almost no breaks.

It was pretty easy :D Really amazing scenes, the whole fight. Grigori looked awesome. I even liked the "flying through the air, holding on for dear life" sequence. Super awesome.

So cute when you and your LI run up to each other afterward and just grin like lovesick fools! I laughed.

It's particularly funny because I have Reynard, who's really on the cute and silly side (again, I play with the Japanese voices; tried to watch a YT vid of English Reynard and almost hurled; same with Maximilian... seems the women fair better, marginally) ... but then there's the final love scene, and he just attacks my Arisen lol I cracked up. Get 'im, tiger!

Then ofc you have the "morning after" dialogue, when he's talking about how clear his head is now and how happy he is to be with you... immediately followed by, Okay, wanna buy some of my wares?! lol Yeah real romantic, dude lol

I should stop for tonight (it's 1:40) but I really wanna know why the sky is all green and scary....

This must seem so hilarious and stupid to those of you who've already beatn the game a million times  Time to switch out pawns though; I suppose I must relinquish my stranglehold on mage!Gabrielle LOL

Huge thanks for the gifts sent with my pawn Thomas (and the knowledge he is learning - he has a lot to learn!).  I have recently changed him to a mage for a while, to help build up his magic skills.

Currently using Briana and Chase (as a warrior) and they kick arse! Love them! Will use Gabrielle and Shinon next.

I am not sure when I should pay a visit to Bitter black Isle, it sounds tough! Will be starting Deny Salvation later on, so I am thinking I may need to build up the levels first (currently 48).

@Bekkael - will send you a friend request :-)

What? Posted Image Not fair. I'm still pulling my undies out of a bunch about getting Madeleine both times. When you talk to her after defeating Grigori, she rambles on and on about how you saved her, yada yada yada, and you go through a 'good-lord-woman-why-don't-you-shut-up' moment every time. But she's cute, and sells thongs, so it makes up for it.

If you guys want me to switch her back to a mage, I'd be happy to. She's decent as an Archer, but she might be better with magick. Plus, she might have served enough time in time-out by now.
