1. The best character creator ever.

True, I can't think of a better one. Although a lot of the faces/mouths are so funhouse mirror-ish I don't think anyone would ever use them.

9. Shinon's Abs (Which should count as six reasons on their own)

I saw Seraph's question last night and honestly thought about posting the reply "I can give you six reasons." But I decided against it. I didn't create Shinon with his current appearance in mind. He used to be your average ranger, all those months ago...

Sometimes I feel terrrible about ruining the character of Shinon, then sometimes HEY THEY CURE BLINDNESS

So before we headed into BBI for the evening, I poked around Gran Soren for a bit, and snapped a group shot.

Posted Image

Then we played around with a Maneater. He pulled the rug out from under my Arisen.

Posted Image

After fighting a bunch of poisoned undead, we got to play with an Elder Ogre.

Posted Image

Jumped out of the way, for some Crouching Arisen, Hidden...Shinon?

Posted Image

Then watched his dead body floating in midair. It slowly dropped to the ground. Odd.

Posted Image

The same thing happened with a Cursed Dragon. Notice his rib cage far above his body? That's where he died, and he slumped down to the ground in slow-mo. He seems to have impaled himself on the way down.

Posted Image

XBL and/or my net connection + Facebook was acting up last night, so I stopped early, had some ice cream, and went to bed.

Get 'im, tiger!

What? Posted Image Not fair. I'm still pulling my undies out of a bunch about getting Madeleine both times. When you talk to her after defeating Grigori, she rambles on and on about how you saved her, yada yada yada, and you go through a 'good-lord-woman-why-don't-you-shut-up' moment every time. But she's cute, and sells thongs, so it makes up for it.

You should try for Reynard! His morning after speech is really sweet. I can almost imagine him twisting his hat in his hands and looking down and smiling as he speaks; he just seems so shy and happy that he now has purpose in his life (following me around... what man could want for more?). And he talks about how finding his father took up so much of his life until now, and how everything makes sense now... it's super sweet.

I was vigilent about affinity. I ONLY got Reynard to max affinity, and I pretty much flashed my weapons after I talked to ANYONE. Oh, and I didn't do anyone's personal quests (except partly one of Max's). If I do another playthrough, I'll have to be more careful about the likes of Maddy, Quina, and Valmiro, whose quests I accidentally missed this go round.

Arisen rape face

About their expressions, I managed to make a really cute Arisen whose "relaxed" face is a frown; all of his expressions so far have looked great, especially when he's surprised or angry (he bares his teeth when angry... I'm sure they all do, but it looks fine on him). In the CC their expression look dumb, but in cut scenes, so far he's looked great. I really lucked out with this avatar. He's great.

Well, that WAS my intent in that run. My mistake was doing other peoples' quests, and not flashing them.

My swords, get your mind out of the gutter! Posted Image

On my next new run, if there is a new run, I'm going to go for Valmiro. I have a good feeling about him, and when you do his quest, he gets an awful lot of screen time, which I was surprised by. But that's a long way off. I'm too busy with these two runs to go off on yet another tangent, hehe.

Haha! I saw that Gollem pawn in Grand Soren yesterday too! It creeped me out when I saw him.

Other than farming the Ur-Dragon, which I can't do till NG+, is there some other way I can farm some gold to pay for enhancing my weapons and armor?

I may go for Valmiro next. Can't decide between him and Max. I think Max is not considered a "major" character though so won't get as much content. I also considered Julian, but after the crap he says to Mercedes I don't think I could do it.

I'm wondering, should I do a second playthrough before attempting BBI? It seems its getting a reputation for being really hard. Maybe I should be around Level 70-80 before attempting it.

EDIT: And I'm assuming that if I play another round I'll get to keep all my stuff, right??

I started BBI at level 48-50 and havent had too much trouble. If it is to difficult for you, you can leave BBI at anytime.

Edit: Oh and ya, you should keep your stuff from what I understand. I haven't gone to NG+ myself but it wouldn't make sense if they took it all away.

The From a Different Sky quests give you badges you can sell for 5000 gold a pop. Some are inaccessable post-game, for obvious reasons, but hey, it's free money.

If you've still got quests in your journal or on notice boards, do them. The extermination quests give obscene amounts of gold.

Once you start getting duplicates of Bitterblack equipment, you can sell those for a pretty penny.

Feste. You know you want that.

Maximillian has a preferred item all to himself (the quill) so maybe he is considered a major character.

Are you playing in BBI yet? I'd say just wear your stuff in there, fight a couple of dragons, get your stuff dragonforged, then find Barroch and go for blue and yellow. Once you're past basic dragonforging, it costs rift crystals to upgrade, not cash.

Also, you will make a ton of money in there. It's everywhere.

OR, sell your duplicate gear. I made a few million off just that alone, before even stepping foot into BBI. The achievement for armor doesn't count duplicates, so you're fine to sell duplicates off without worry.

And if you use rancid bait meat in BBI, you can have a cursed dragon pretty much at your beck and call, which should help with dragonforging. Well, from what I understand. Who knows, you may get a pack of garms, an Elder Ogre, and a cursed dragon, all at once!
Wouldn't that be fun? Posted Image Actually, I kinda think it would be.

 omg LOL

Oh I didn't know that about Max and his quill. I never got to complete his quest. Urgh I need a 2nd playthrough just so I can do things right. This game was so confusing in terms of quest progression.

^ Aww, but Feste is so cute. Especially when he's just laying on the floor, outside the dungeon, for no apparent reason. He kinda freaked me out, with the Duke's quest, but you never know, he may be a stud in disguise. Hehe.

I'm still trying to figure out a way to avoid fighting Awakened Daimon. I'll have to look up how; last time was a bloodbath.

Also, I just finally noticed that you can get up to the wooden ledge above the resting bench near Olra. After I got up there, I found one chest (rift crystals) and a couple of boxes. :?

I'm going to try this fiend luring business for giggles. Wish me luck.

No new loot with DLC.....sacrilege! XD

Good luck @happy_daiz, with your "baiting". I suspect if I did that, I would end up with 'Death' knocking at my door. LOL!

Going to play around on BBI tonight (worked mostly on dlc quests in Gransys yesterday). I kind of wanna switch vocations for a bit. I have been missing Assassin something fierce, but that means I would want to set Chase to Ranger most likely. *shrug* What the hell! Bows all around! :D

I went to the Black Abbey, and got a bunch of sirens, and 2 cursed dragons. The sirens apparently heal the dragons, so my first tactic didn't work, but now they're putty in my Arisen's hands. Magick Archer is certainly handy for them.

I got a siren tail fin, which is my first one. It's a material needed for the Farseer's Hat, which I don't have yet. It's not good for much else, aside from lower-level armors.

@cold - go for it! I think most of us are pretty fond of all-archer squads. ;)

We headed down into the everfall for a change of scenery. Apparently I hadn't been in a few of the chambers before as the map was blank.

After we killed an Evil Eye, we were milling about in the empty room and gathering loot. I decided to throw a fire barrel at Shinon. Pausing and zooming in on my Arisen and seeing her mid-throw pose was enough to start me thinking about a massive picture post. I've almost used up all my allotted bandwidth for the month, but it rolls over on Thursday. So depending on what kind of shots i get in the next few hours (and if they work, it was being rather difficult) there may be a post here revolving around a popular song from the 70's. And you may not be able to view it until Thursday.

I was gonna leave a sneak peek here but I realized the photo names were a dead giveaway, so please enjoy this instead.

LOL @Shepenwepet! "Dancing with Pawns". XD

Chase is notorious for casting his Affinity and powering up his "holy balls" (giggle/smirk), right in front of my Arisen's face, so that picture doesn't surprise me in the slightest. heh!
