@Shepenwepet - hahaha, love those photos. That song is guaranteed to get everyone up on the dance floor with those moves! Love the action shots. I took my first photos last night and it's not easy getting good shots, particularly group shots ...

Image IPB

Also thanks for the items you gave Thomas. I only just learnt last night how to gift armour/weapons. I thought if you just gave items to a pawn, they would take the items away with them. Didn't realise you had to equip them!

I still haven't ventured to BBI (have yet to do the final battle) and dark holes and Death sound scary!

If you don't get it instantly, the photo names will clue you in.

Hehe, I get it. Image IPB

Hey, which cloak are you wearing? I've been wanting to ditch Sovereign's Mantle, but the only one I have with halfway decent stats that shows off arms is the Nebula Cape (gold level).

I was in Gran Soren, and found a pawn wearing the armor I've been coveting.

Image IPB

So I had Gabrielle tackle her for me.

Image IPB

Chase and Gabs laughed about it afterwards.

I spent the whole rest of the night throwing spiders and goblins at both of them. "I have it!" Image IPB

I bought this game for PS3 last year, but never got into it (maybe played a couple hours). Is it good enough that I should go back and try it again?

It's either the Blasphemer's or Hellfire Cloak. I'm 99% sure it's a Blasphemer's Cloak, because if memory serves, the Hellfire cloak is red.

I also like the looks of the Lordly Cloak, which I believe is what Briana wears, and the Wyrm Hunt Mantle.

I had to look up the Nebula Cape. I don't have one of those. Looking at the list of loot in the Everfall, it seems I missed a lot of stuff in there. I did a bit of godsbaning there last night and picked up two new (to me) pieces of equipment but for the life of me I don't remember what they are.

She was wearing it untill she started getting possesed constantly and killing y'all. I gave her my sovereign's mantle after that since it has possesion resistence.

I don't have the Blasphemer's Cloak or the Hellfire Cloak. Image IPB I'll do a little more research to see what I can get. I'd like to get the purple one that Iorveth is wearing, but I can't remember which one it is.

Edit: found it: he's wearing the Hero's Cape. Montebank should have that available, but the stats aren't that great.

I've been wondering about using Godsbane - how does that work?

She's wearing a Sovereign's Mantle in that shot at the top of the page and I didn't notice. :pinched:

I guess it's been a while since I hired Briana. I shall rectify that tonight. There's so many BSN pawns now, it's great! <3

YMCA is coming along nicely, although I'm having trouble finding/thinking of a screenshot to go with the line "Young man, put your pride on the shelf".

And I was briefly considering giving Shinon a ridiculous Leather Man mustache.

Do you have one? I forget when the game gives you one. I have two, I can gift one if someone needs one.

But anyway, you just select it from your inventory, use it, and you can kill yourself.

Fun for the whole family.

@happy - I have an extra lordly cloak I can gift you. I'll pick up Gabs after work, and throw it on her. I think I will make a list of Everfall extras I have, in case any of you are interested. I have recently gifted some to a handful of newer players, but still have loot to give.

;)

@Shepenwepet - Yep, I still have the one I got from the Grigori fight. Do you only get to use it once? I saw in the wiki that you could forge it, but didn't know if it was actually used up during farming.

So once you kill yourself, I assume you wakestone, then open the chest?

@coldwet - that would be fantastic, thank you!

You find the chest you want to farm, then save. Then you open the chest. If it's garbage, haul out the sword and kill yourself, don't wakestone, and reload. Repeat until you get what you want.

It... it can take a while.

I spent three hours in front of a chest trying to get Wounded Heart. I spent five minutes looking for both of happy's dragonblood rings. Time spent Godsbaning may vary.

Do you have a quest to collect 20 wakestones?

No! I just fell down the hole... we floated for a bit. The pawns were telling me to grab onto a ledge. I wasn't very good at grabbing, so I kind of just splatted onto one... Landed on the platform, walked through the door. There were a couple of pawns who told me their sob stories about losing their Arisens. Then I fought the giant eyeball. Collected two wakestones (they look like heart organs, but still not sure what they do), and then there was nothing left to do except ferrystone out of there. I'm so confused!

You can command your pawn to do stuff?  WHY AM I SUCH A NOOB? Sigh.

@motomoto - yeah, you are on the "path" to the final quest (sort of). Next time you go into the Everfall (Barnaby's entrance), you will see a pawn that has a quest marker over her. She will give you the quest. You can hold off giving her the wakestones for as long as you wish. For example, I still haven't completed the end game....I farm the Everfall with the "godsbane" trick (and Shep is right; so much fun for the whole family...especially when your pawns start screeching at you. LOL!!), play on BBI, and run around Gransys completing new quests that came with DD:DA.

Oh, and I have Aryla in my party....picked her up last night. She looks great, and is quite spunky! :D Gifted her a Lambent shield, to go with her Ascalon sword. I think I gave her a pair of pants too....lol! I can't remember. I will send her back later today, so you can play with the new toys.

You should have met a pawn named Quince on the top floor. Wakestones let you revive after being killed. You can also use them to revive NPCs. You can grab a ledge with RT/R2.

Well, not exactly. If you throw an enemy at them, they'll hold it down. I was taking a literary liberty there. Image IPB

I see, I see :D I will have to try that. I love making my Arisen pick up pigs. It looks like he's a farm boy going to the market LOL Next time I will toss one at Arya and see what happens.

Once he tried to jump on top of a cow. The cow really didn't like that and bucked him off. This made Arya so mad she slaughtered the poor cow.

My Arisen felt kind of bad about that

About the Everfall quest; yes, I purused the wiki for many an hour and discovered it is related to the 20 wakestones quest, just wasn't sure where to find the quest giver. But I will go to the Everfall entrance by Barnaby's hideout and get it there. After that, it's just a matter of falling through the hole and catching hold of all the proper platforms, correct?

So Coldy, you've yet to even finish the game? How about the rest of you? I would like to finish it completely, just to see what happens. Then perhaps start a NG+ (look at me with the lingo!) ... but if I didn't want to start a NG+, would I still be able to wander around Thedas Gransys after the big finale (whatever that is)? Or even go to BBI?

Well, here is the story on me not yet to finish the game. I initially bought this game last year, for the PS3. A handful of people from the Thane thread also had the game.....but not for the PS3. LOL. So I didn't have anyone to swap pawns with. My pawn on the PS3 version did get rented (she is the spiritual sister to Chase...female white haired elf), but it just wasn't the same. *fake cry!* XD

Anyway, eventually I went ahead and bought it for the xBox (which truth be told, was the system I would have bought the game for initially, but they were out of them at the store I was at....too lazy to go someplace else to get it. LOL!). I don't have a problem rebuying games, if I know they are going to get played. And, it is kind of an interesting atmosphere on the Sony servers... so, I can always hop on the PS3 to switch things up a bit. (Course, I don't have DD:DA for the PS3, and I don't plan on purchasing it for that system...*shrug*) Needless to say, this is why I haven't finished out the game on the xbox....I sort of feel like I have already done NG+. heh! Eventually, I will finish and start a true NG+, but for now.....farming!! :D

Not counting my speedrun, I've beat it five times. Once you hand in the twenty wakestones and jump into the special rift that opens, that's it. You have to fight the final boss and start NG+.

Random fact I just found out: The Arisen's mocap was done by Crispin Freeman, aka mother frakking ALUCARD. I demand an Alucard voice for DLC now.

Do you get to keep all your gear you've got stashed at the inn though? :o I'd hate to lose all my stuff! Well, I want to see the ending anyway, no matter what.

So the Everfall is a good place to farm for goods, eh? Let's hope I find some cool stuff :D Though nothing beats the awesome stuff you guys send me lol xDD Can't wait to be at a level where *I* can send cool stuff to noobs...

Everything you and your pawn have equiped will be put into storage with the rest of your belongings.
This page has maps of the assorted floors, a list of the enemies that spawn on them and loot lists for the chests are located on the maps.

Thanks!! :wizard: I'd seen that wiki page before but didn't know to what it referred. It's very helpful! Especially as I keep jumping off and missing the platforms, so I've done level 3 and level 7 so far LOL Totally out of order.

I've got Shinon and Thomas along for the ride. I like to imagine that Reynard sends my Arisen love letters from home, and they go a little something like this: "So I met that Shinon fellow the other day. He's very nice. And very... ah... I suppose he works out? Hahaha! Not that I'm jealous! Though I'm sure I could lose a few extra pounds. He isn't your type anyway.. is he? Haha... Just remember, Reynard loves you! Pawns don't give discounts!" Confession: my Arisen does stare at Shinon's abs. Like a lot.

Yes it's totally my Arisen and not me
