You could fight the offline Ur-Dragon and sell the wakestones. He's a good source of income once you're comfortable with fighting him. Eventually you'll have more Ascalons and Volant Whites than you know what to do with.

@motomoto - @Carcharoth is right....fighting the Ur-Dragon offline is not too bad (hell, just grab a couple of higher leveled Rangers and go to town) for getting goodies that you can sell for decent coin AND, I always sell Wakestones. Once you start going through the Everfall rooms over and over, you will have Wakestones coming out your wazoo! XD And if you want to increase the amount you sell things for, set both yourself and your pawn with the Suasion Augment. I do suggest that you switch it back to a more offensive/defensive augment once you are done selling though, since it is a wasted augment for those that rent your pawns (it only affects you with your pawn).

@Bekkael - I will add you after work as well.

@Shepen - I am finally going to set up with FB for screenies.....just need to make some modifications to my account. I already have a devil of a time keeping work, family and friends separate (which is why I sort of stopped using FB... ), but I miss having screenshots, dammit!! I go nuts with DA and ME on the PC, so I feel like something is amiss when I can't take pictures. Damn you XBOX! Why you no let me set up directly with a photo sharing site (i.e. photobucket, smugsmug, flikr, ect....)

@happy_daiz - How are you getting the body armor bits? What chests/monsters have been dropping them for ya?? I know you can get things like that in the Fallen City, taking out Death, and defeating the Awakened form of Daimon, but I.........have been to chicken to do that. BAH! Fine. Enough of this wussy attitude. I am going to add Autonomy to my augments, and go after Death.....tomorrow. LOL. I forgot; I already am set up to do some Everfall hunting with Woolie and Arya. But then, DEATH! *shiver*

BTW, I admit to having a somewhat protective nature of the pawns in my party. I hate losing them back to the rift. It stresses me out. LOL! I'm a sad woman. >.<

I've been Godsbaning the chests indicated here. Mostly the ones in the Forgotten Hall and the Fallen City.

I knew I was in for a treat when I finally cleared out the Midnight Helix, and got level 3 armor on the first try, in that top chest. Woo!

So basically, without bothering with Death or Daimon, you have 5 chests you can Godsbane.

A Ranger with ten fold flurry, some conquerors periapts and 150-200 blast arrows can kill Death easily.

I don't blame you. The Fallen City seems to toggle between two different sets of enemies, and one of them is definitely more difficult than the other.

I usually get the one with the two wyverns, a bunch of Eliminators, and three living armors, near the entrance to Daimon's casa.

The other one is easier, imho, even despite all of the living armor running around. As a MA, you can just hang out on a rooftop and snipe, provided you steer cleer of the wyvern's nastiness.

Before fighting Daimon I made sure to Godsbane three chests in the Fallen City. The one that drops weapon lvl 3 took about 45 minutes to get.

My armor lvl 3's I had seem to have gotten messed up by lvl 2's. On the wiki I noticed it saying something about lvl 2's influencing 3's but never really looked into it. I ended up getting two Hoods of Shadows and two Hoods of Oblivion in alternating order so I Godsbaned those so that I got one usefull piece of armor and 2 pieces that I didn't have before.

While I'm sure people here understand that when they get a pawn back with three stars in all categories and no items, they've either been reaped or they jumped off a bridge, but I still feel bad.  When I go back to the rift to fetch them again, I'll hire them, instantly release them with an item and then hire them again. It's silly, I know ratings don't really mean anything, but there you are.

Does anyone have a favorite piece of armor? One that you will use all the time, regardless of stats?

I'm rather lucky that the Dragonwing Circlet is pretty good, that never comes off.

I didn't know there was a level 3 weapon chest in the Fallen City. I'll have to look that up.

In the Forgotten Hall, yeah, I finally did! The wiki instructions are very misleading, and I was Godsbaning on the wrong chests for the longest time.

If you take the hallway up, there's a gold chest at the top. That's not it. If you jump over to the next balcony, and see the gold chest, that's not it, either. You have to go to the long balcony, with two chests on it. It's a wooden one on the left, if you're looking at it, nearest to where the goreclops was chained up.

I spent forever trying the wrong chests in that room.  It's #9 on the map.

@Shepen - I have taken a liking to the following outfit: Adept Robe, Marshal Bracers, Delta Guard, Abyssal Greaves, Grave Claws, and that dragon Eye Patch thing (can't remember the name of it). The stats aren't terrible, but nothing to write home about. However, Ulee looks mighty good in dem stitches. Swear I must have been a pirate in a previous life...besides the eye patch, I used to be addicted to the Carmine Breaches, and a few of the other more swashbucklely gear one could pick up.
Also have a soft spot for the Dark Lorica. I pair it up with either a full on black motif (assassin style!), or I go for the Oreo cookie look - black torso, black legs, White Hawk shirt. XD

Anything besides the Dragonwing Circlet that you gravitate towards?

Ya, it is chest #19 on the Fallen City map.

I must have just had bad luck on that chest because I was trying #9 and never got it. I was probably one Godbane away.

Yes, I actually hung onto Flutter Padding far longer than I should have, along with the Gambeson and Bliaut. The latter two were a good color for "underclothes".

I also LOVE the look of chain mail and the silver cuirass.

And Heresy Cloak + Abyssinal Coat = <3.


Also, gloves of might. (I like purple.)

I missed a ton of everfall gear. I'll probably be going there later tonight.

Ohh yeah...a fan of Chain Mail and the Gloves of Might, as well. The Lamellar Jacket that Chase is sporting right now, is still a favorite of mine. The Everfall has a few of my favorite cloaks. I used to do this strange pairing with the Abyssinal Bracers, Denim pants, Exotic Boots, Hard Leather Plate, Lamellar Jacket, and the Siegfried Mask. Since the Denim Pants have a slightly purple/black look to them, they made the outfit a kind of 'green on purple' style.

Good god, I never played dressup like this as a child....why is it so friggin' appealing now? XD

I'm currently in the Everfall farming for a Dragon Band. This is the loot the chest has.

25% Wakestone Shard
2% Ferrystone
6% Dragon Band
6% Ring of Sable
2% Red Dragon Scale
2% Shadow Gauntlets
2% Ring of Sapphire

So far I've gotten 3 Rings of Sapphire and a Red Dragon Scale (of which I have 2 in my storage.)

Sigh. My arisen looks pretty bizarre though. Pics later.

@Shep - I think I have an extra Dragon Band, that you are welcome to. Let me just get to my inventory, and I can check.

In the meantime, I was Godbaning for a Dragon's Quickening (I pulled a stupid, and accidentally sold my best Magick bow. Yup. Stoopid. >.< ), and I ended up with a Dragonsblood. I can't pass those up. (besideds, Dalec sells the bow in the Room of Estrangement. So, who wants a Dragonsblood??

Someone said earlier they rented my new pawn and sent him back with some stuff... are you sure? I just slept, and it says someone rented him, but it's another friend who isn't in this thread. (Also, I think he died on her, because he came back with three stars in all categories and no gift xDDD)

That was me @motomoto. I rented him shortly after you made him. Hmmm....that suqs. Good news is, I only gave him new gear that was a couple of levels higher than what he was wearing (wasn't sure if you wanted him just better protected or OP'ed). I am more than happy to give more stuff....I got it to give.

I don't really have any high level items for my Arisen, but I really like his boots... they go up to his thighs. They make me think of a dashing rogue or pirate type. I love them!

He also uses the bow he earned after defeating Grigori, mostly because it is the only MA bow that actually looks like a bow. The others are all too small and look weird as he's running; they also get buried in his cloak animation.

Finally killed death for the first time! It took many encounters to kill him because I could only get 1hp bar off per encounter but I got him down.

I just want him to look cool lol I'm going for Elrond/Galadriel type magic elf guy lol Right now he is wearing the white scholar's coat or whatever it's called. He looks okay, better than the fugly robe thing the mage pawn starts out with.

In regard to gifts (and peeps using your pawn), sometimes there's a lag. One time Shepenwepet sent me some stuff and it took an entire day for it to show up. That happened more than once, now that I'm thinking of it. Sometimes, you just have to be patient.

Chase got Death's scythe a little bit ago, the poor guy. Shinon was the only one who made it. I'm using Thomas right now. He seems to be learning a lot, from all the chatter, hehe.

@cold - I already have 2 Dragonsblood, or I'd jump on that. 

I'm back in the Midnight Helix, checking on my crops. Just a goreclops and dead arisen.
