@coldwetn0se - your screenshots are good. I like action shots. The sky does look gloomy in Gransys after you kill the dragon. I miss the sunshine!

Where is that shot of Thane from? I can't remember him tied to a chair! Love Thane, I was soo sad in ME3.

I do like the shot of Gabrielle on the previous page she looks so sultry! It is hard to take good shots.  Also glad to hear that Thomas is learning a lot. He needs to :D!

Posted Image Cheers! Posted Image Actually, it isn't Thane, but Feron. from Lair of the Shadow Broker. Those poor drells...either getting fried in an electric chair, or being shipped off at six for killer training by giant jellyfish, having your wife murdered, your son estranged, choking on Keprals, and getting gutted by some goofy guy in a mask. Posted ImagePosted ImagePosted Image @giftfish on the BSN, managed to snap that pic on one of the last play throughs she did of LotSB. I got one too, but it wasn't nearly as funny. :D

BTW, I choose to substitute my own truth regarding our dear green friend. Posted ImagePosted Image (points to signature)

So I think I am right there with @happy regarding the Oblivion set. I am going to try and get all the pieces this weekend. Have resigned to going toe to toe with both Death and Awakened Daimon (or at the very least, the Fallen City). An apology ahead of time, to all those who will have their pawns killed in my attempt to do the afore mentioned things. XD

@Shepen - I feel like a boob. I get it now.....because they made all the Everfall weapons available as drops in BBI, they can no longer be gifted. :P Still blows, but meh....it is what it is. I can still gift Ur-Dragon drops though, so that is something.

@Newschmoo - Thomas does really well actually. The only reason I have to revive him a bit more (like when I take on two dragonkind at once in the Duskmoon Tower), is simply because he IS a lower level...hence, has less HP and defense. But his spell casting is spot on. He's a trooper. :D

I never got Lair of the Shadow Broker DLC for ME2. Poor drells! They never have it easy. I hope the mod gives Thane a better ending.

Glad that Thomas is coming along.  I know I will have to visit BBI soon to build the levels up, but it sounds a bit scary there :o!  And to take on two dragons! One is about my limit at the moment!

Good luck with Death and Daimon over the weekend.

OMG... I effing hate this game sometimes.

I am trying to do everything perfectly this time around. Not miss any quests AT ALL. Managed to do Madeline's escort quest for the first time, and also the quest where you track Quina down in the Witchwood. Missed both of those the first time. Now trying to do Valmiro's escort quest... turns out IT'S GONE. Opportunity missed, apparently. GDI. THIS GAME.

Oh well, I've already got max affinity with him. Think he'll be my LI. Not that that is a huge thing in this game, but it helps me cling to a narrative, however thin lol Now let's hope this time I don't screw up Witch Hunt and can make a stupid Arisen's Bond. Grrr.

At least the boys look smashing in their new outfits. Switching to Dai/Arya now though.

I also hate FB... It would not let me make the album "private." So I hid the album from my wall (or something...). But then FB would not let xbox upload any new photos to the album. SO... I deleted the album. Added a new photo... but FB still would not let me make the album private. So I made that particular photo private. Which means every time I upload a photo from the game I will have to manually make it private and hope none of my FB friends see it, otherwise they'll think I'm a freak, lol!

GEEZ... Anyway...

Here is Shinon checking out Rohan's new outfit. I think he likes it; it's hard to tell with Shinon... guy's pretty tight-lipped.

Seel for some reason put himself in the corner. Bad mage!

It cracks me up when pawns put themselves in the corner.

I don't even know if these images of viewable to everyone because they begin with "https."

@newschmoo - aww, come on, the water's fine in BBI! Before you know it, you'll be taking on dragons like a champ! Your first cursed dragon and garm will probably scare the crap out of you, but it will become second nature before you know it.

At one point, I had the thought/conscious realization during my second time through: 'good god, now I'm used to chaos.'

Chaos reigns.

(My husband made a point of showing me a clip of the movie 'Antichrist' with that phrase, and now it's stuck in my head, every time I think about BBI. Not sure I'd recommend the movie to anyone, as I haven't seen it myself, aside from that, and it sounds shocking and disturbing. But that scene... Oh, heck, if you want to see what I'm talking about, here you go. You've been warned. You can just watch that line at about 1:15.)

And dammit, my hubs has commandeered the tv.

Yeah, you have to go on your feed and switch the posts to "only me", which it sounds like you've done...

So I hid the album from my wall (or something...). But then FB would not let xbox upload any new photos to the album.

What exactly happens here? Do you get an error on xbox saying there was a problem connecting to your facebook account? If so, that happens to me constantly. You just have to keep hitting share until it goes through. Occasionally the "share" button won't even light up, forcing me to unpause and re-pause and usually the moment I'm trying to capture will have passed. Still another error I get is just a blunt "CONTENT COULD NOT BE SHARED" right away. Again, keep plugging away until it works.

Yeah, I was getting those errors too. Figured it would work if I kept hitting "share" and eventually it did.

As for privacy on FB....personally, I don't think it exists. :P *grumble* LOL. I just did a save of the picture to my computer, then deleted it. HOWEVER, after doing two of them, the toggle for edit/delete picture, stopped flippin' working! *spit/hiss*

Of course, trying to use FB on my ancient work laptop is nearly futile. I'll go on my desktop later and see if things are working correctly.

Thanks Shep and oknenah, for the armor and Netherstone! Woot! :D :D

Yep, if all else fails, persevere. I see that Photobucket has a feature to transfer pics from FB to it, but I didn't get it to work. So I do it manually...boo. But I love sharing pics, so I deal.

Whew! Another successful delve into BBI. Sorta. :P

So after we cleared this area and just as I was finishing up the last of the chests (while trying to open and dash away to keep from getting my head eaten lol), this cursed dragon showed up. It's about the 3rd one I've seen, but after hiding in an alcove for a few minutes I just booked it out of there and ran for the door.
Posted Image

Then after making it all the way through the next area with the undead and the Gold and Silver Knights, I saved and then walked into THIS place where the gates slammed shut and the cranky undead Pope and his pet dragon killed us a few times for kicks.
Posted Image

I turned my lamp off in the hopes they wouldn't see my Arisen, but no luck.
Posted Image

I really gave it a good try and managed to deplete 2 lifebars, but those bloody death spells kept knocking the pawns out and then I was toast. Classic case of "in over my head" but hey, it was still kinda fun and we got some good loot too.
Posted Image

After purifying, I ended up with the following:

Stalwart Bow, Dragon's Ire, and Cast Stone.

My 3rd pair of Assault Boots lol.
Dragonbeards greaves.
Flame Skirt.
Purple Longkilt.
Golden Lion Helm.
2 Platinum Rings and a Preceptor Ring (Magic Boost by 67, Knockdown Power Boost by 23).

All in all, I was pretty happy with the time spent, and I think Gabrielle, Chase and Quintin mostly had a good time too.

Nice pics, Bekkael. :D

So I just ran into the same happy couple (Cursed Dragon + Dark Bishop). Something interesting happened though. As soon as I saw them, I backed up further into the small hall before the big open room. All the pawns stayed with me, and the Bishop decided to join. ("Hey guys...hall party? Dig.") At this point I just spammed Ricochet Hunter till he fell to the ground, and then *POUNCE* "Dogpile on the Bishop! Dogpile on the Bishop!" (helps if you sing in Bugs Bunny's voice). Myself and the two rangers hundred kissed him......to death. XD Once he is dead, the Cursed Dragon dies immediately, without even having to go into the room and face him. AND, my daggers got Dragonforged while I was at it. :D :) :D Good loot drop to boot, including new material drop. *snoopydance*

As an aside, I am thinking of changing Chase back to a mage again. I love him as Ranger, but I have been getting all the cool vocation upgrade rings. I really want to try them out, but I don't want to be a mage...at least, not right now. ;) I have no doubt I will be switching him back before long, but in the meantime....gonna fiddle with new gear.

I actually had a Wyvern drop level 3 armor a little bit ago, color me surprised. Then cleared out Midnight Helix, and liftstoned back to the entrance to purify. Carrion Veil, Grave Veil, and Grave Mantle, plus some junk.

I think I might Godsbane and go yellow, so I can get the Oblivion headpiece instead. I really don't need more Shadow stuff, though; I already have pretty much 2 of each of those already. Or should I go red? Hmm...

@Bekkael, the easiest way to defeat the bishop and his pet is to focus on the dragon. Kill him, then the bishop drops to the ground, and you can hit him there. Rinse and repeat. Once you've figured out the system, he's cake. My first try, I had Briana and Shinon with me, and they both got possessed. I died by their hands, lol.

Edit: ok, I feel silly. I didn't realize that by changing vocation of both you and your pawn before purifying, it not only changes armor, but it changes gear and weapons, too. Not sure why I didn't try that before!

I ended up switching to yellow, then red, so I got a couple of new items stockpiled, but I kept the Hood of Oblivion. Two more pieces to go.

I am currently hunting down the Coat of Oblivion. It is the last piece of armor I need for the set.

Here is how my armor set it comming along so far. Just replace the grey chest with black and it will be what I am after.

But....how did you get the bishop to appear before the cutscene showing the gates slamming shut?  I redid that battle 3 times, and no matter how I ordered the pawns to "Go!" into the room, they wouldn't cross through the doorway. There was a lifeless dragon laying on the floor, but no bishop anywhere in sight and all was still until I walked far enough into the room to trigger that cutscene. I'm just a little jealous as that would have been my first dragon kill.  Ah well, better luck next time maybe.

@happy we killed the dragon several times and when the bishop would hover a little closer to the floor my daggers still wouldn't damage him at all, only my bow would, and very little when it did. The pawns seemed to be doing almost no damage to dragon or bishop. I ran around a lot just trying to escape his AOE death spells, and then bishop would rez the dragon. I think the main thing is that I just need more damage output than the set-up at the time allowed for. I had just switched to ranger right before I decided on a whim to go stroll around BBI, so I think that kinda messed me up. :P I wasn't even wearing good armor!

The real question: what the heck am I doing awake at 4:42 AM??? :pinched:

The moment I 'share' a shot I go straight to FB, delete it from my timeline and then change the setting of the shot to me only, as my friends would think the same!  It is temperamental though!  You can link FB to your Photobucket account, so it uploads your FB albums automatically when you log in.

I am going to dip a toe in BBI, but I think I need to read up on Godsbaning and purifying first, as at the moment I don't understand it!

I remember having to jump through some hoops to get my posts to automatically show up as "Only Me", since the album screen won't let you do it ("you can change the audience for each photo in this album" instead of a blanket option). But somehow I did, and it automatically hides the pics from my timeline if it's viewed by friends/public

So when photos show up on your feed, you still have to manually switch each one to 'only me'?

@Bekkael - I think I see what the problem may be with the Bishop. Have you killed Daimon yet? I believe you only get the locked room/cutscene pre-Daimon. The encounter I described above was post-Daimon. Regardless of pre or post, the bow is your friend against the bishop. My main reason for focusing on the bishop, is you can disrupt some of his spells, and when he dies, dragon dies. Though I do recall focusing more on the Dragon the first time I encountered them.

Sorry for any posting errors. On my phone, at the moment.

That fight is much easier if you're spamming Sixfold/Ninefold bolt on the Bishop at range, then when he falls, Hundred/Thousand Kisses, or whatever dagger skills you use. I think the first time is just tough, because of not being able to retreat out that doorway (it stays open post Daimon, as others have said). Well, as Magick Archer, anyway. I too have found out the hard way that it's ridiculously difficult to switch to a new vocation, then run into BBI at lower levels. I tried out Warrior, and got pwned more times than I care to admit. lol

Here are a couple of shots. I didn't play for long last night, as my Godsbaning goals in the Fallen City were thwarted by 1). Death showing up at an inopportune time, and 2). the chests mysteriously opening themselves and being empty. That one befuddles me, as the first few in the room were closed again, but by the time I got to the Godsbane chests, they were already open. I was robbed.

Shinon was keeping guard while I farmed a chest in the Midnight Helix.

And my Goreclops buddy says hi. Or he did - he had just fallen in this shot.

I was really confused by it at first, too. It's easy once you understand what it does (and are very patient).

Basically, you:

- Make sure you have Godsbane with you.
- Go to a specific farming chest, and save your game before opening the chest.
- If it doesn't drop what you want, go to your Tools menu, and choose Godsbane, and "Hold".
- Then hit X, and you'll off yourself.
- When the game asks if you want to use a Wakestone, choose "No", then choose "Retry".
- Rinse and repeat until you get a level 3 drop.

Sometimes it works right away, other times, it takes for.freaking.ever. In my first few attempts, I was Godsbaning the wrong chests. Posted Image

Have you looked at the wiki to see where the specific level 3 armor chests are? There is a level 3 weapon chest in the Fallen City as well.

Last night, after a jaunt with Briana and Carcharoth, Shinon returned as the Duke of Gransys, except younger and slightly more lively. I assume he rose to the rank of duke because of his knowledge of what a portcrystal is, which he proudly proclaims to everyone every time he sees one, and his rockin' abs, which are the envy of all men.

So naturally, his master dressed up as well, and they hit the town.
Posted Image

And by "hit the town", I mean, of course, murder dozens of guards.
Posted Image
Posted Image

The gravity of it all eventually got to Quintin, who tried to seek comfort from the new duke, who was having none of it.
Posted Image

Afterwards they headed home for a photo that probably broke Aelinore's tiny little brain.

Yep. I'll do some googling tonight, maybe figure out how you managed to hide a whole album! That would be convenient 8D
