Awww, he's good, he casts really well and I like his style.  He only died a couple of times, but then we were faced with a Gorecyclops who became unchained!  He also nearly got swallowed by a Maneater, but he survived

Killed another Ur-Dragon this morning. happy_daiz is getting the Abyssinal Armor once she gets back and I know for certain it won't turn into rocks. Other than that, I've got a bunch of weapons laying around again. If anyone wants some of it let me know.

@newschmoo - I have some more cursed weapons to send with Thomas. Finally started getting some dragons to "forge" my equipment. They were being awfully stingy the past couple days. Then it was time to get a few material pieces forged at the Black Cat.....boring. But, at least we have that as an option, when monsters aren't handing out the best material drops.

@Carcharoth - Been thinking of Ur-Dragon hunting again....haven't done it in a while. Congrats on another take down.

Oh, and I finally got the Demolition Claw dragonforged. Tangled with a Cursed Dragon in the Midnight Helix, last night, and half way through the fight switched staffs (arisen is playing MK right now) with Chase. I had been doing that since getting the staff. But now it is forged....YAY! Chase's magic is much better now, at least for his level.....sort of. XD

 Thanks. It does warm the ****les when you guys complement my pawns lol  My game is still saved on Seel and not Arya; I haven't played since Monday  In the process of moving to a new apartment. Arya's chomping at the bit to return to action! Actually with her game I think I'm going to complete the game (first time!), then in NG+ head to BBI.

*le gasp!* Arya would LOVE Heaven's Key, and Seel would be so pleased with Volant White. Either of my Arisen's would be proud to wield those fancy daggers!

Congratulations and WTG! That Abyssinal Armor set is awesome. Based on the requirements to get it, I will admire it from afar.

I have the wonderful Ascalon and Lambent Shield that you guys already gifted me, and some of those huge warrior weapons as well, so I won't beg for anything right now. Although....if anyone has  extras of a really good Ranger bow, that would be awesome at some point, since that's what Quintin will be permanently when he is done derping his way through Sorcerer.

A huge thanks for all the recent cursed BBI items several of you have sent my way. I got some fantastic stuff from it! <3

I seem to have gone as far as I could in BBI. The Bloodless Stockade is apparently Death's permanent crib until after you kill Daimon, and my MA attacks did squat to him so I guess I will cease my adventuring down any further for now. I'll just keep farming all the areas I've done up to now until I have a baker's dozen of Sovereign's Mantle and Cursed King's Belt since that is what the game seems to like giving me. And rings; so many rings. On the positive side, selling most of my extras has really helped with my gold shortage, so that's great!

I just have to say, Woolie is an awesome Sorcerer and I really hope he shares some of his insight with Quintin. Having a Sorcerer with me that knows when, where and what spells to cast has made a huge difference. It made it quite easy when I fought my first Living Armor yesterday. I'm also really liking the Assassin vocation. When I have finished levelling up everything else, I think I will always be switching back and forth between MA and Assassin with the occasional change to MK.

I just spent close to a half hour fighting one Saurian Sage. One. That's how much I pause. It's a miracle I ever made it to level 200. Got some nice shots, though. Here's one.



If I have time later I'll upload some more. Thomas had a run-in with the Ur-Dragon, we had a party with a hydra, and Shinon got grossed out by an less-than appropriately dressed child.

LOL! Too funny. I have a great pic of Shinon that I will post later (still have to do FB stuff on my desktop, lest my cheap, old, work laptop explode while loading the site. XD )

I went back to Ranger for a bit...forgot how much fun it is. Also a bit of a stamina hog. Goal was to dragonforge a few items, including the Revenant Wail. First dragon of the day obliged. *fist pump* Also got the Hellfire Cloak forged along side the bow. Now I just need the Hardened Leather, and the Assault Boots to upgrade, and I can switch out again. Going to run as a Sorcerer soon. Need to upgrade a few items there, and maybe I can add a few points to my magic along the way. Mostly, it is for upgrading gear though. Like Chase having the best. He deserves it after getting the news about Gabs and Shin. Poor dopey elf.

@Bekkael - Death will eventually leave the Bloodless Stockade, even before you go after Daimon for the first time. If you are afraid to run past him, just head to one of the little treasure chest rooms, douse your light, and wait it out. Kinda boring and not productive, but have used that trick a few times when I was to chicken to make a dash or was not in the mood to strafe, hit and run. lol! Either way will get you through the Stockade so you can move on....when you are ready.

I'm thinking about starting a BBI challenge run. The challenge is where you jump into BBI as soon as you can in the story from a new game. I have no idea what I should build if I start the challenge tho.

Aww, you are so sweet to think of me, and I can't wait to get that armor! I've been coveting it for quite some time. Yay! I'll have to see if I have anything sassy to go with it.

And I loved catching up with what you all have been doing. My Arisen and Gabby will be back in action tomorrow evening, after I get home from visiting my sister, assuming our flights get in on time. Speaking of Gabby, I chuckled when I saw what she's been up to. Such a heartbreaker! I'm not going to comment on who is her favorite, but I'm sure he knows who he is. Or she. LOL.

@oknenah - I see you made a new Pawn (Mungo). Question: since this is a challenge run (assuming no NG+), would you like new gear from us, or would you prefer we left Mungo as is? I have plenty of gear that isn't exactly OP'ed, so you could still get some new toys, without Mungo being too far above his station.

@happy - Chase' head hangs low.....I think he knows, yet he still pursues. So sad....maybe some nice Arisen will make a "special" elf friend, just for him. Hope your little holiday went well. See ya soon, chica!

I'm trying to turn my Arisen into Barnaby. You have no idea how hard this actually is. I thought I had his face perfect, then I went and stood next to him...

I don't know if it's because I'm tired or what, but I see more Nicolas Cage than Barnaby.


Well, at least having this picture will help when I head back to character edit.

Edit: nope, he's still Nic Cage. He looks like Barnaby in profile, but then I turn him around and it's full-on Cage. I wonder if it's even possible to do this.

Just switched to Sorcerer. Haven't been one for roughly 70 levels. We'll see how badly this goes. Just hoping for a bit of dragonforging.

I don't mind if you send me some gear that is pre-BBI. It wouldn't impact the challenge much because I am going to be getting quite a bit of gear from BBI itself in a short amount of time.

The dogs in the first area at level 7 are pretty tough, lol.

Dammit, Barnaby, some Arisen somewhere created you. But they certainly weren't using the same character creator I am.



His eyes are not there, his mouth is not there. I don't even think his head shape is there. The fact that there appears to be a ready-made Maximillian (minus the hair) in the preset faces leads me to think that I'm just overlooking things, but I dunno... I'm tired, I should probably head to bed.

Finally got to play tonight.... for about 30 minutes  (Got a call that my bro and his wife and my cute baby neice were in town, so had to jet off yet again.) THANKS, EVERYONE for all of Arya's sparkly new gear!!! I did not get a chance to purify all the MANY BBI items y'all sent back... I kind of got obsessed (once again) with dragonforging. I slept for four days, and still none of the drakes respawned. I then did the unthinkable.... went after the glitched wyvern. Predictably, I killed it, it glitched... and the kill did not register. Glitched wyvern flapped off to the ocean, never to be seen again.

Since I'm in the process of moving, I don't see much time for DD lately  Man I need to stop obsessing over dragonforging. My intent was to finish the game, once and for all, then try BBI. Sigh.

 Man, is BBI challenging at lvl 18, lol! I'm having quite a bit of fun with it tho. There are enemies I can't even fight, like gargoyles.

Tried to take him into the BBI, but a pack of Garms showed up, and I was having a hard time reaching him. Didn't want him to die back to the rift, so we high tailed it out of there.

He isnt much help for me in BBI either. He tries but things just swat him down like he is a gnat, but when he gets leveled up and gets some more gear I'm sure he will be more capable. He does make a good mobile storage tho.

You'll have to switch Arya to a ranger or strider. Seel was already sent back with the staff.

She should have it, unless Capcom's servers lose it or turn it into rocks. I think there's a limit to how many gifts you can receive at once, but don't know if that's from everyone or just from one person.

Try separating the eyes a bit more and enlarging the head. Get some close ups of Barnaby's face from multiple angles to help.

I've tried all the tricks in the book. Impossible. He always ends up looking like a sad and/or constipated Nic Cage.

I am willing to bet that his mouth is not selectable. The eyes I think I had, but that mouth isn't there. There are only two or three in the creator that don't look like giant clown mouths on a male.

I will try again eventually, but I really wanted to actually play the game instead of bouncing back and forth between the CC and the Pawn Guild.

That's actually pretty damn impressive. I need sliders/numbers, man, if you remember. At least just the numbers, sliders I can mess with. The only thing slightly off is the eyes, which I think I found just before I gave up. I also think Barnaby may be wearing eye makeup, his eyelashes are crazy dark.

What number mouth is that? Don't say 1 or I'll start flipping tables.

I had decent looking Barnabys in the creator, but once they started running around in the game, oh no. No no no. Looking at my first attempt again, now I see Elvis instead of Nic Cage.

I never had much of a chance to play today (aside from about an hour messing with the CC) and I probably won't be back on until tomorrow night. I'm going to be scarce for a week, so don't worry about gifting stuff with Shinon. Up until yesterday I thought I was going to be sharing a table at a craft exhibition this week with a friend of mine, but they only told us now that we can't share a table, so they gave us each a separate one. So here I am, with only enough stuff to fill a little itty bitty corner of a table, and now I have to scramble to make more before Tuesday. But anyhoo.
