I decided to give this game another try. Switched on got attacked by a griffon and fought it miles high and brought it down in the sky. WHY DID I STOP PLAYING THIS GAME?!
I'm in my new apartment, guys!!!
(My favorite screencap so far is definitely Chase picking up loot while Shep's Arisen gets eaten alive *giggles*)

No worries, and thanks! I'll be back to playing shortly here, I think. My hubs commandeered the big tv to watch a movie. It was a bad one - I nearly fell asleep. Thankfully, it's over.coldwetn0se wrote...
@happy - Gabrielle is sporting a new corset, and packing a great dragon horn. Sorry for the delay...
I went to Devilfire Gorge, and fought some Goblins.. I went up two levels in a short amount of time. I also fought two Drakes, and got nothing Dragonforged. Ugh! Makes me miss Cursed Dragons a lot.
Guess I'll head back in, to check out some abs, err, get some forging done.

@motomoto - I probably have somethings to give Seel and Arya (once she is a Ranger...not sure I have any better standard gear for a Fighter). Trying to get my new Grave Mantle and Carrion Veil DF. Will also farm the Midnight Helix while I'm at it.

@happy - I was so happy to find that info on the internet about leveling vocations. It was taking so flipping long the way I was doing it before. (looking for the biggest baddest beasts to butcher...heh!)

They are. Remember to sleep at an inn so the server can update. I sent Fighter Arya back with a Dragonblood Ring.OH! I'll remember to turn Arya into a ranger. *nods* If those daggers are still up for grabs!

I'll head to the Noble quarter as a Ranger, I think.
After the Midnight Helix, I got two new hoods that I already had, plus random other junk. I Godsbaned, switched us to red, and at least got a sword and greaves that were new.
P.S., I'm currently using Chase and Shinon's abs. Yep, that's what I said.
Edit: that worked! Hooray! Time to get Revenant Wail Dragonforged!

Fascinating! I went into the Midnight Helix. Killed the Gorecyclops, the cursed bandits, and was on my way to start godsbaning the chests, when Death shows up. So, I decide to take a few pot shots at him (a few of them did some decent damage), but I noticed that he has a big advantage to that room, considering all the places one can fall. At that point I decided to head to the back room where the Skeleton Brutes are (and a chest you can godsbane for lvl. 3 armor). We killed the Brutes, and even though Death was hunting us, I could still save. I saved, then checked the chest that can drop the lvl.3 armor. No armor, so I godsbaned. When it set to "retry", Death was outta there!
XD
PS: their abs are glorious. *wink*
**EDIT**
CRAP! He came back anyway. @#$(@*!&#!! LOL!!

Loving the screenshots. That ogre picture
I currenly have Chase in full gear. Think I need to visit a riftstone real soon
I have gone back to the Everfall for a bit and I am currenly in the Chamber of Hope. Those chests are a real pain for getting the right gear. It has been taking me ages, I lost count of the amount of times my Arisen had to Godsbane. And I am only on chest 3!
@Shepenwepet - impressed to hear about your craft. I am a big accessories person (you can never have enough), so anything relating to jewellery makes me smile.

When I first loaded up the game, this was the scene that awaited me.

Good lord, woman, what do you get into while I'm not there?
Here's Shinon practicing his smoldering glare on an ogre.

GAH WHAT IS THAT

And here's Chase, who for some reason reminded me a lot of Albert Wesker in this shot. I guess the eyepatch kinda looks like sunglasses if you squint.

I took a few shots last night, after Facebook finally decided to cooperate.
First, I messed around in the woods, trying to level up Ranger. Here's a Griffin I rode around on for a while. Well, figuratively.

I'm not sure if Chase is trying to goose Gabs, or stab Lielle (my Arisen) while she's down.

And whoa, what the hell is this? No fun on the job!

Once we liftstoned back to the entrance, Chase continued his sassy dance of desire.

It was a good night.

I think Chase is getting a bit too full of himself. Yeesh. XD
@Shep - have fun and best of luck at the expo!
Alright! I have had it with Death. He freaked me out so much last night, I tried to get my husband to fight him (and he has never played this game before...lol!). He laughed, said no, and went to bed.
For all of those that have managed to take him out, feel free to educate me. I need some ideas on ways to do it. As soon as I do it once, I think he won't freak me out as much. I did manage to get a little more health down on him last night (still has 8 bars of health left) with both Ninebolt and Ricochet (yup, back to MA for a bit. Needed my new veil and mantle DF'd). Any advice is welcomed.
@happy and Shep - great screenshots as always!

Your husband sounds like mine. The first time I ran into death, I ran like hell, and he laughed at me. Then when I tried to get him to fight him, he had other, "more pressing", things to do. You know, like watch movies. Hmmpf.
Best advice? Turn off your lantern immediately, run like hell, and spam Ricochet Bolt on him. Oh, and if you can get him into a hallway, that's best, as he'll get the crap pounded out of him with all the ricochet action.
That's what's worked best for me, anyway. I tried out my shiny, new Ninefold bolt on him, but it just didn't have the same !shazam! feel.

I like the hallway idea....been using that on garms for a quick take down. It sucks just a bit that he keeps showing up, when I am in the middle of taking out a number of beasties. I can't multitask my killing with him on the menu as well. *bastart*

Use this to make him show up.
Copy pasted from the wiki with some minor edits.(1) When in the Garden of Ignominy defeat all enemies.
(2) Save the game.
(3) Stab the Arisen by using the Godsbane.
(4) Reload the save.
(5) Upon reloading drop a piece of Rancid Bait Meat. Death will Spawn.
(6) Damage Death until he dies.

I have a pretty decent build for a Ranger at the level I'm at, so it might be the best way to go. The only problem I have been having is he is showing up in the Garden (as you said, when Saurians are about), but before I have a chance to get rid of the adds. It's not like the Saurian's and other beasties are difficult to take down, I'm just not good at doing that, while trying to avoid Death's Scythe. LOL! But what the hey....now that my new mage wear is forged, I'll switch back to ranger and give it a go. Think I will switch Chase back to Mage for this little trial. But I will put him back to Fighter after I give this a go. I kind of like him as a fighter right now. Might even give him back launchboard (tis fun to "fly")
Thanks for the advice, people! Much appreciated.

Oh, all right, I'll keep playing with my Ranger. Although I just gave Gabs Revenant Wail, and I'm not sure she'll give it back.
Also, did you know that Shinon's abs are famous?

"Shinon's abs can kill you while you're getting killed."
No. No. No.
And If I see any signatures popping up with "Shinon facts" I'm never returning to this thread just so you know.

Who would have thought that in a game with a boobie slider, that the thing we'd be talking about is abs?

Alright! I am set up as Ranger, packing explosive arrows, periapts, bait.....and my palms are already sweating. LOL! Switched Chase to Mage, and have Woolie and Shinon in the party as well. Keeping everything ranged, so to speak. Though I expect I will be doing the heavy lifting. Death...your time has come (said in a shaky and unconvincing whisper)

PLAY FIRE EMBLEM, FOLKS. HE'S NOT SEXY.
Well, archers are naturally sexy, but other than that...
And this expo's a bust. The weather is terrible, nobody showed up, and those that did smell like moldy onions.
I have 4 more days of this. Hopefully things will pick up.
