So you are saying you would rather get everyone else to work around your personality disorder, than handle it yourself?

Yes

Then, according to your logic, its up to you to harden the frak up, and develop ultra-dense bones and tough skin just in case a pumped up powerlifter with anger management issues decides to smash your face in.

Bogs, I think you should let this one go.

Are both of you seriously gonna debate this? Who cares about his logic, its "HIS" doesnt have to be yours nor do you need to change his mind!

Why yes, yes we are. It makes as much logical sense as this entire threads argument that a single feature is all thats needed to determine whether or not a game will be successful.

grimkillah: By logic, you should cower before me. I demand you obey!
powerlifter: fkorf! *punch*

Why does it matter if there are multiplayer achievements? If your not going to play MP, then the achievements shouldnt be of any concern.

Well... some people are completionists.

You're not much of a completionist then if you don't do everything, including multiplayer and what it would take to get whatever theoretical multiplayer achievement.

Oh I am sorry didn't know that you can't read English, because I was very clearly stated that a single feature isn't all that's needed to determine whether or not a game will be successful. I merely stated, I wouldn't play coop section of ME3 if it doesn't have achievements.

IS THAT SLOW ENOUGH FOR YOU, OK? SPEAK ENGLISH YES... NO...?

As the post you partially quoted indicated, the first part of my response was not aimed at you, but towards Robuthad's response, as well as the premise of the OP.
That was why I quote him, and not you.
So you can add lack of reading comprehension to your OCD. Thats fine. Continue ranting like the self obssessed member of the entitled generation that you are. If you're lucky, someone might grant you a clue, but I'm unsure whether you would have the wisdom to utilise it fully.

So does that mean you are incapable of offering a clue to me? well, then you continued this pointless debate for what? Satisfy your rather obsessed desire to matter? wonder who is the real self obssessed member of the entitled generation.

Eh, there might be 1-2 for MP in ME3, probably easy ones because they know alot of people didn't want MP in the first place

The Sims sold over 16 million units,  The Sims 2 moved 13 million,  The Sims Online bombed.  Final Fantasy 7 sold a metric crap ton of units,  the MMORPG barely stayed afloat.  The biggest know blockbuster,  Super Mario Bros,  moved 40 million units without multiplayer.  Pokemon Red and Blue moved over 20 million units.  Having Multiplayer doesn't make a game a blockbuster,  nor does not having it preclude a blockbuster.

Um, Pokemon does have a multiplayer mode. It has versus multiplayer. Technically, Mario Bros also has a multiplayer component.

A Pac-Man versus mode where one player is a ghost trying to work with the computer controlled ghosts to corner the other player would have been awesome.

To succeed? Well that depends on your definition of success. That's dependent on the goals of the developer and producers. I've played plenty of games that received poor reviews and loved them. Some had MP others didn't. I believe firmly that a game should be able to stand on SP alone, if it can then its a solid game MP is just a bonus. Using that belief most FPS's aren't successes to me, but I'd wager there are millions of players who would argue otherwise. It's all based off what the game is marketed to do.

Some games don't need multiplayer to succeed, I think only shooters have very popular multiplayer and ME3 has it because, as far as I think it will add more entertainment and its not really bad feature, but if there are any drawbacks because they BioWare was convinced probably by E.A, but those are only speculations.

Oh well...then...sadly I think so.  With all the social networking of today, PSN/XBL/MMOs/Facebook...it's a very socially digitized world.  People want to play games with friends.  Developers are trying to capitalize on this, and we're seeing huge numbers in sales, DLC's, subscriptions.  A cursory glance at the lists of top selling games of all-time and nearly all of them have some form of multi-player in them.  Whether its split screen, online, co-op, mario bros.  It's crazy.  You don't have to sit at home alone play a game then wait til your ahnging around the water cooler the next day to talk about it.  So if your aim is money...yea go MP.

Multiplaying is needed for multiplayer games. How ever, not EVERY game needs multiplaying. This has nothing to do with success. Games success is more related how good or popular the game is in general, than some game feature. This hasn't changed in time at all. Sure multiplaying is more used today, because we have a lot more internet connections in the world than we use to have. But multiplaying it self isn't related success, it's the game it self as hole.

Mario, Pokemon, Tetris, Sims, Grand theft auto and so on..

Deus Ex didn't have MP and did pretty well didn't it?

And the GTA games were singleplayer too I thought. Maybe the last one had some sort of multiplayer mode I'm not sure.
