I would be surprised if there wasn't a Krogan team member.

That said, I'm excited about Vega. I can't wait to have another human Alliance squaddie and get to know him. I liked how he stood up for Shepard in the comic. The writers do a good job at making interesting, new characters and I don't think he will be an exception.

There will be a Krogan, either Wrex or Grunt for one mission or several on Tuchanka but not permanently.

Wouldn't be bothered to go without a permanent Krogan squad mate in ME3 simply due to Biowares´ outstanding track record for making memorable brutes, of which I'm positive Vega will be one of.

Well in any case, yes, I do believe Vega is our 'krogan'. The developers have stated that he and Ashley are two sides of the soldier coin; Ashley specializes in lethality to Vega's survivability.

Survivability... in a game that promises few squadmates than ME2 had, I'd go out on a limb and say that there's our 'krogan'.

The 'survivability' tweet pretty much sealed it. Vega's gonna be the tank of the squad.

Looks like it to me, which Maker knows is a welcome change, at least for me. Whilst I did enjoy Wrex and Grunt, if they weren't allowed a more regular role alongside Shep in ME3, then you most assuredly cannot go wrong with a badass Briton who can snipe a husk from one of those Kodiak Drop Shuttles, whilst using an M-98 Widow, one-handed, I might add. Okay, so maybe it's not as awesome as snipin' a husk from up in Big Ben, but the guy's gotta make do with what's currently available, y' know?

Most players killed Kaidan rather than Ashley.

Nope, but the devs have been very open that Ash survived the majority of games, and we're still getting another Soldier. So I'd be shocked if we don't get a Sentinel.

If the comic is anything to go by Vega could well be just like the Krogans but in human skin...I cringe at the thought....if that be the case, he like Wrex and Grunt will spend all his time on the Normandy and never in my Sheps battle teams....If it's (Krogan clone)Vega plus a Krogan, that'll be two down and out of action on the Normandy.

I used Wrex & Grunt hella lot in ME1 & ME2, I mean, tanks are so useful. Why didn't you use them Golden Owl? You had Soldier Shep?

Always weird how people categorically don't use certain squadmates.

I seldom used Wrex as his powers just didn't compliment my play style, although I liked his character immensely. Grunt I never used for the same reason.

I'm determined to try and like Vega...if for no other reason than so few others seem to want to give him a chance. Poor guy.

Sniping Infiltrator actually...CQC squaddies don't gel well with a predominant Sniper Shep...those squaddies tend to die a lot.......I have much better luck with a full Sniper team....As for the Krogan squaddies specifically, aside from the CQC issue, I find Krogan battle comments very jarring, I so thus my Sheps don't share that blood lust, war mongering mentality the Krogans glory in...I just really can't take to it at all, I find it repungent.... I don't use Jack at all either for the same reason.

As long as I can give the team Revenants and they won't die after five damn seconds, I don't really care if Vega is replacing anyone.
