So what are your opinions on the character creator? First impressions? I was probably more disappointed than impressed. The lack of music or atmosphere kind of made it dull, empty? I like how each slider is independent of the others, unlike Oblivion which was a domino effect of a mess. It does seem to take a little getting used to in terms of being limited on options early on and specializing later. Looks good though, and I like the social site as well, very innovative.

I'll have to wait to play with the character creator until I pick up my new computer. A few weeks until then. 8(<br />

I'll just have to enjoy reading what other's have to say.<br />

Excellent. Although I pretty much suck with sliders.. after twiddling with a slider long enough I don't know what looks good and what doesn't anymore.. and everything starts to look weird and so on.
Didn't notice the lack of music as I had the Witcher soundtrack playing because I read there's no music beforehand...

I like it, but I agree about the lack of music. Either way it's cool Bioware let us get this early. I love the expression slider

I like it. Music would have been nice, but it's not essential. There's an insane number of options for appearance -- I've just barely gotten started. But the best part is we can finally see the final versions of most spells, skills and talents.

It's better than I expected, all in all.
A shame that the human tattoos seem more suited to what I had in mind for my character, but there was at least one Dalish tat that I liked:

I'm enjoying it so far as it somehow seems easier to make a nice looking char compared to ME (don't asked I sucked at char creation with it k?)
I paticuarly liked getting to hear the voice selection and peek at the skill sets so 2 thumbs up here =)

It's too dark. Oblivion and ME had the same problem. I wish we could see characters in daylight.
I much prefer the fixed values as opposed to Oblivion's fluid ones (fewer choices => easier to decide)

When you reach the end (where you can save the character) there's an option to upload the character.dragon_age_obsession wrote...

I like it, but is anyone else having issues with the human beards? You aren't able to customize the jaw/cheeks and mouth with a beard, which wouldn't be quite so bad if the beard fit the face that way, but over the cheeks it doesn't contact the face, making the beard seem like a costume one hung from the ears. Also, I can understand why the jaw/cheeks can't be altered, or would if they fit, but why the mouth? Other than this though it seems pretty good, I'm just waiting on my chars to upload.

I really enjoyed it, my complaints are all wondrously small.
I'd like an explanation as to what deity the Dalish tats relate to.
It would be bangin to be able to rock a nice blue shade on the tats. (Everything else made me think Celtic, so why not go traditional blue?)
Last, why is the only short haircut for women (Dalish Elves, anyway) the buzz cut? It goes from there to something past her eyes. (Which is still shortish, I guess.)
I love everything though. And I can't wait to finish fixing up my computer so it all runs happilly, atm using a subpar Vid card...ahhh the wondrous timing of things breaking... XO

Very surprised, however Bioware always has good character creators so I was not expecting to be let down.

It is really easy to make an attractive PC. It is interesting that sliders can be vastly different between the races. It seemed like elves had a lot more variety in features (i.e. noses) than humans. I would also like to know which of the elven pantheon relates to each of the tattoos because there are definitely some that I do not want to be affiliated with depending on how I want to role play my character. Plus I would like some color variation in the tattoos, maybe some greens or reds. But overall I really love the character creator.

I wish there was an option for the CC to remember your login so you don't have to do it every time you start it up. I.E. a 'Remember Me' option.

Anyone else notice the healing spells in Creation changed? Now there's one that regens mana/stamina instead of health, and an AoE version of the same.

Also, the starter robes for mages actually look pretty good. I hope there's a good variety of mage equipment in the game.
