She's dangerously close to Serendipity.

People can't seriously have forgetten Lia.
She's snuggle material.
And she's a guard, which makes her able to protect herself (or you if you're wuss).

Haha, a Merrill mod vs. Her Official face, why compare them?Sylvianus wrote...
What do you prefer ? The new ( bottom, which seems more like felicia day ) or former version ( top, a true elf ) ?
I will always prefer a "real" elf to her, she shouldn't even had modeled a in-game character to begin with.

That's not a mod
And it is already known that Felicia had requested that Tallis looks like a real elf, but Bioware chose to make a new version that looks more like her face.
Here, some former faces of the duke Prosper.

That face is on Merrills body. Thus I see you comparing a horrible modded Merrill face to Tallis.Sylvianus wrote...
? Who said it was Merril ? Tallis, I was talking about tallis.

That isn't Merrill, but supposedly an alternative version of Tallis' face, one made as morph and as such more elf-like, as opposed to fully custom shape she got in the end.Mr.House wrote...
Sorry but that's not Merrill. I don't know what that...thing is but it's not Merrill.
And if you refer to it as "that... thing" then i guess it tells something how attractive people really find the 'true' DA2 elves compared to scanned humans

There are thousands of ways to experience a face during a development..... Thanks tpm for the explanation, I don't need to do that myself.Mr.House wrote...

And I never talked about Merrill.

Then I guess I rather have Day elf face over "true" elfs for Tallistmp7704 wrote...

I totally agree.tmp7704 wrote...
That morph is interesting btw. Side by side there's enough similarity i think, but definitely shows more "elf" traits there.

Absolutely. That's why I said " true " elf, which follows the spirits of the creators who wanted a race more " distinctive. "Knight of Dane wrote...
And that's why it's wrong, they made the Elves faces and physique unique, no need to recycle the face of a fail project.

now that top face could appear later on as some other elf and I'd be happy =D

Tallis has the elvish eyes, nose and ears, just as much as Merrill does.
I don't think that all humans in the DA world necessarily have fat or doughy faces, despite them being so ubiquitous in DA2.

I think that alternative and quite more elf-like version demonstrates beyond doubt that no, the version the game ultimately uses is by no means "incredibly elvenized". Unless of course you mean "incredibly" in the sense "i dig it", not the "a lot" sense...The Ethereal Writer Redux wrote...
There isn't. I've just grown attached to Tallis looking like Felicia Day with an incredibly Elven-ized face.

So you think, they would spend time and resources to go out of their way to create "new distinct look" for the DA2 elves with deliberate set of traits... and then would not use it, if only the technology allowed for that or if they could be bothered? Wouldn't that be completely counter-productive?Wulfram wrote...
I think a lot of the "elvish" look to DA2 elves is actually just the consequence of a limited facegen system, and perhaps lazy design, than a deliberate set of elvish traits.

I think the eyes, ears, noses, and the alarmingly skinny bodies, all of which Tallis possesses at least as much as Merrill, were a deliberate attempt to make a new distinct look. Though even there, theres probably more room for variation than is shown - presumably there are elves who are bigger than average, different types of elvish ear and what have you
But other similarities between elvish faces would seem to me to be more because of them being based on a limited number of pregens and then minimally tweaked than a deliberate policy.
