Hi I have dragon age 2 in EADM/Origin and if I download the game via it I don't need disc in drive yet installed off the disc into EADM/Origin it needs the disc to play for some odd reason. How can I get rid of the need for the disc in the drive without having to delete the game already installed and patched to redownload the exact same thing?
I assume its some part of the game files I have to delete from the folder that EADM/Origin would notice as missing/corrupt and replace with the downloaded version but idk the exact method.
Removing requirement for CD in drive?

In all honesty the quickest and simplest way is uninstall and then install the downloaded version. Any other messing around with config files is likely to mess up some other area of the game if you don't understand what you are doing.

Except that it takes ages to re-download and then I have to download patches and DLC and high res patch and everything all over again. So much hassle and wasted time shouldn't be needed just for this.
