I have a degree in CS too, and I don't think I would have my current job without it.
But there are always some university courses that are a complete waste. I bet that's true for psychology as well.
It's at least partially tongue-in-cheek, but only partially. I am in the odd position of doing both software development and end user support in my company, since our IT dept is tiny. End user support has little to do with technical knowledge and more to do with dealing with people.
