Mine is probably lavender. They have a beautiful look to them and a wonderful smell. We have an arbour in our back yard. There is lavender planted all around it and under the swing. When the flower is in bloom, it's truly lovely just to sit in the swing at sunset and breathe.

I'm fond of the flowers from weeds and vines - all of those invasive, parasitic, twisted things - honeysuckle, morning glories, and wisteria especially.

Wisteria? Oh dear. We've been waging ceaseless war against that vine since before we got married. It looks pretty when it's small and it is hardy, but it invades absolutely everywhere.

I like lilies first and foremost... they hold a special place in my heart growing up. I also like the pun potential of tulips. Finally, I enjoy the visuals of bleeding hearts. They're so cute.

My favorite flower is the phalaenopsis orchid - specifically the Moon Orchid (the one below), although I'm a fan of pretty much any white flower. I used white iris for my wedding flowers.

It is a toss-up between the tulip, and a dark red rose. I have a strong taste for both those colors - If I'm feeling in a more peaceful, meditative mood, the tulip. If more on the romantic side, the rose.
