I want to play a Koosith who was born and raised outside the Qun, a female Koosith fighter would be an awesome PC.

Personally I'd appreciate the opportunity to roleplay either side. Every Warden and every Hawke I've created so far would be in the position to support the combined forces of Thedas though.

I'm hoping it's a four-way split like New Vegas between the mages, the rogue Templars, the Seekers/Chantry, and the Qunari.
That would be very nice, but I don't think Bioware is as ambitious as Obsidian, so that's unlikely to happen.
Perhaps, if we're lucky, we'll get a three way choice. If we're lucky.

I like my pitiable vices. My pitiable vices are the reason I show up to work in the morning. I shall side with the armies of Thedas to defend my pitiable vices.

The qun doesn't believe in or worship any divine, omnipresent being or force.

They do idolize a book though (Tome of Koslun). I understand why as it's the original, unadulterated transcription of their way of life. But it's still a book.

I have to agree. Though they call it a 'religion' in game, I've always seen the Qun as more of a lifestyle choice.
Like vegetarianism.
I suppose thats all the Qunari really are. Really dedicated vegetarians.

Not 100% though, I'd need to check.
Though I'm certain the Qunari themselves never make the claim.
TRIPLE EDIT (im on a roll tonight!): Actually, Cassandra makes mention that the Qunari are not one race, they are a religion (in MotA) in reference to Tallis being a member

Genitivi, while not in the game.
linkSo Genetivi sayeth...
Some claim that the qunari were guilty of terrorizing the populace. They divided children from their families and sent adults to ‘learning camps’ for indoctrination in their religious philosophies.
and
Some even said they have a certain kindness to them, or a conspicuous lack of cruelty, and one Seheran who converted reported pity for those who had not, as if the conquerors’ religion led to a sort of self-discovery.

to be fair, that's a character's voice, interpretting what they see as the religion of the kossith. to further be fair, the qun seems to be a philosophy-bordering-on-religion rather than a religion itself (this is assuming a religion requires a "divinity" of some sort).
yay word bendy-ness.
