So i've downloaded (after much much effort) my Stone prisoner dlc, but i couldn't find the Honnleath village ingame..
After some searchwork i found a solution by removing the folder and redownloading the DLC, but after replacing the folder back it worked.

Now the problem is when i remove the folder, i cannot redownload the content but i have to buy the Stone Prisoner.
  • I've deactivated the windows firewall (and the one in my router)
  • Deactivated my Antivirus
  • Reactivated the Dragon Age: Origins - Content updater
I'm guessing this is a bug or something, or can you only use the voucher once?

Offtopic: it's kinda sad how many problems i had with the DLC. :crying:

Can anyone confirm that you can only use the voucher/code once?

While you can only use the voucher once, that permanently makes it available on your account. That means your account can always download the content again. I do not know why you seem to be having troubles past that.

I am having the same problem. I cannot redownloading the Stone Prisoner DLC registered to my account. There appears to be no possible way to do this since the game will only let me download it if I rebuy the content I already own and there is no way to get it off of any official site.

Did they not plan for people reinstalling the game or something?

Likely there is a problem with the Content Updater service, which verifies for the game what content you should have access to, that might have been introduced during the install.

Try checking out the Redeemed DLC Troubleshooting FAQ. Section 3 is the most likely bet, instructions there on how to check if the service is installed, how to manually start it, and how to reinstall it if it is missing or has an error.

Having the same problem, like hundred other people, yet there are no official sayings on this, I even contacted this on to them with email and got a bland "check this guide: "

I have tried many guides, and well...I shouldn't even be looking for guides, it's something I've paid for and if Bioware wants people to buy their DLC in the future, they sure should fix their weird problems people get with every one of them. There sure shouldn't be any "add "x" to file path, open up a console type "x_x_x1232" and deleting the folder downloading again, it's just...Pain. Especially when it happens way too often.

And I know no one official is about to answer this, so yeah, thanks. :)

There is an "offical" beta fix for some of these issues, posted by a Bioware employee. http://social.biowar...st/81613/542935

As its beta, I usually don't recommend using it unless you can't get it to work any other way.

Was that post deleted or something? When I click/type the link it just shows it in reply form. Too risky to try it if I can't see it clearly. :P

You can download it more than once. Even though you deleted the folder containing the Stone Prisoner, the game still thinks it's installed. You can clear all your dlc content using the following steps

1) Shut down Dragon Age: Origins

2) In Windows, press the 'Start' button and select 'Run'

3) In the command line type 'net stop DAUpdaterSvc'

4) Navigate to 'My Documents\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\Settings' and delete 'Manifest.xml' and 'Offers.xml'and 'addins.xml'

5) Navigate to 'My Documents\\bioware\\Dragon Age' and delete the 'Offers' folder

6) Navigate to 'C:\\Documents and Settings\\All Users\\Application Data\\BioWare\\Dragon Age\\' and delete the 'DAUpdater' folder

7) Navigate to 'C:\\My Documents\\bioware\\Dragon Age\\' and delete the 'AddIns' folder

8) In the command line type 'net start DAUpdaterSvc'

9) Restart Dragon Age: origins and log in

10) Your content will be available for redownload on the Download Progress tab

What about when it just won't download? Mine's stuck at 0% and, reading under it, it says Required Game Version: 1.0, but the 1.0 is in red font, which makes me think I'm not meeting that requirement...

I tried that before, but when I tried to type "net start DAUpdaterSvc" it said "permission not granted" and well...It never started.

Oh, and thanks Kepha, will give that a shot if nothing works. :)

If you don't have permission to start the service its likely an issue with administrative rights. Depending on how your computer is setup you need to have the service run under the adminstrator account, or run as an adminstrator if your regular account has adminstrator rights.

It is an adminstrator account I am on. Probably some awful bug with my computer. >_<

Are you on vista or windows 7? Find the DAUpdaterSvc.Service.exe file, which should be in the bin_ship directory under your Dragon Age installation directory. Right click and select properties. Go to the compatibility tab and check "always run as adminstrator". See if that helps.

Vista, tried that, didn't work, still denying the access.

EDIT: I went to services.msc and started the DAupdater from there instead, now the download started!
Thanks for the help, might not work yet, but I sure hope it will. ^^

@ whinnie: Try this or the Redeemed DLC Unofficial Troubleshooting and FAQ (PC Only). Maybe the ideas there will provide a solution for you.
