In the spirit of Halloween, what games/gaming moments have actually legitimately scared you/made you uneasy? The first one to scare me in quite some time just happened the other day when I was playing The Path and I got Robin's "Success" ending. (I was playing in the dark with headphones on, it made me really uneasy.)
(skipped to where the ending actually starts since before that it's just a few minutes of her walking very, very slow.....)

Yes very little scares me but Amnesia is one of them... The atmosphere. The feeling of helplessness. Every step I take is slow and hesitant. Doesn't matter how many times I prepare for it encounters with the shadow never cease to scare me. Loving every minute of the game but can only play it when I'm in the mood and only short sessions.
It works this time of year. I'm getting me some candy and seeing how far I can get on halloween night.

Yes, with most games you have some form of combat for defense. With amnesia, you have that dark corner to run and hide to. Frictional did very well with getting the atmosphere.

I'm downloading Amnesia on Steam right now. Been meaning to for awhile actually, but all this talk of it reminded me. I'm gonna try to play it in the dark with headphones on. D: I hope I don't scream and wake up my family. >_>

I'm easily scared/traumatized so I tend to avoid the horror genre overall. The only horror game that I did play was Dead Space and to this day I still have some nightmares about it. My damn curiosity

The original Silent Hill. I'll never forget my first trip through Midwich Elementary School - demon children with knives rushing at you in the dark. They're in just about every single room ready to butcher you, and I'd be ****** scared just to go through a doorway for fear those little bastards would ambush me.
Also, Fatal Frame 2. That game scared me so bad, I couldn't even finish playing it. First time I saw that ghost with the broken neck pretty much sealed the deal for me - I now refuse to play any Fatal Frame game ever again.
Also, I always thought the ReDeads and Gibdos in Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask were pretty frightening - that creepy moan is what really does it for me. I'd always dread doing the Shadow Temple or going to Ikana Valley because of them.

I don't play horror games, but... Resident Evil 5 made me jump a few times.
Dark Souls is pretty terrifying, I am terrible with ledges and invisible paths and Dark Souls has it in droves and that scares me. The first time I got to the Asylum Demon, even though I had seen countless videos before, it scared me when it came down.

Hell yeah, LOVE the Silent Hill series! I would even go so far as to say Silent Hill 2: Restless Dreams is my favorite game of all time, or one of them.

On a serious note, the only thing in a video game that has legitimately frightened me was the Ichthyosaur from Half-Life 1. Damn, those things could move fast...
