I just got done with the new Mark of The Assassin DLC.
I'm curious how many more will be coming. I want to enjoy Hawk as much as possible
before DA3 comes out since Hawke isn't going to be in it.

I really enjoy the new DLC. I would love many more and an Expansion like Awakening for DA2.

I predict two.

1) Because there are two more floor mats inside of Gamlen's apartment that are identical to the floor mats the other two statues sit on.

2) Legacy was best if you take Varric, Anders, and Sibling. MotA was best if you take Aveline and Isabela. That leaves Merril, Fenris, and Sebastian to get more content. I think there will be an elf-related DLC that will be best with Merril & Fenris, and then a Starkhaven DLC that is best with Sebastian.

At least, that's what I'm hoping for :)

While I don't argue that it looks like they have room for two more "story" DLC packs (plans could still change at any moment, of course), I don't think Sebastian counts.

I'm not sure they want to have DLC that requires you to have other DLC already (and the very first thing I do is to try to play the new DLC without actually installing Sebastian–DLC about Sebastian where Sebastian doesn't even exist, oh my!). I suppose they could do it to work even with Sebastian absent, but it seems sort of dumb to have some big resolution for Starkhaven without its crown prince (and before he may or may not return to do something or not to do something).

Well they said that would be less (but bigger) then Origins.

If we exclude Awakening (its an expansion) that leaves 6 DLCs in Origins (Ostagar, Warden's Keep, Darkspawn, Leliana's, Golems and Witch Hunt - 7 if you count Shale).

So i expect 4, 5 (total, not to come) at most.

And on PAX, some devs were using hangman t-shirts, for 3 locations, Wildervale, Est Watch and Starkhaven. I think MotA was in Wildervale right? If so, that leaves 2 more DLCs.

well lets see here, i realize Darkspawn and LS are dlc but they are stand alones, so if you consider that they release story based dlcs, that leaves two more out, so it infact still leaves 5 dlcs, 2 in which are done, then i suspect 2 more, then finally the last one which is longer than the rest(but not an expansion) i suspect it might be Starkhaven since it makes the most sense(ending and whatnot and as long as Sebastion is involved) and there is still a unknown dlc that has yet to be revealed(given us a clue) but hey im just guessing as anyone else is

Wasn't there something about an 'Exalted March' DLC?

I think the popular fan theory is: 2 more DLC of Legacy/MotA length (probably based around Est Watch and Starkhaven) followed by a longer piece/expansion 'Exalted March'. Considering this is what a lot of Act 3 seemed to be subtley building towards. Whetehr our dreams will materialise is another matter.

I agree, we should see at least 2 more, one of which should wrap up Hawke's story.

Yes, there was that hint...I'm sure we'll find out more about that soon...ish.

well thats what i think, there is 2 more dlcs, assuming that those mats are a good indication and then the final one would be the rest of Hawkes story which would hopefully have a reason for using the quest marker at the desk(maybe showing us more stuff going down after a few months) and Hawke heads home a letter is given to him, which gives him a good reason to leave

I too expect two more Legacy/ Mark of the Assassin length DLCs. Hopefully there will be an expansion of either Hawke's disappearance, or a conclusion to Hawke's story after Varric and Casandra meet. Personally I'd prefer an expansion focusing on Hawke's disappearance and what caused Hawke to disappear. It is crazy dream but a part of me hopes for a Dragon Age II: Final Edition.
  • The four DLCs which we predict.
  • New maps to replace to overused ones.
  • Combat balance (Enemies don't spawn in waves unless it's actually enjoyable)
  • And an expansion pack that wraps up Hawke's story and paves the way for Dragon Age III.
Now I now a slightly reworked Dragon Age II is a lot to ask for, but it is a pipe dream. Level designers to add environment variety, and scripters to drop some pieces of code which only annoyed us.

It wouldn't fix the plot but it would make the game more bearable.

I'm with artsangel in that we'll probably see 2 more "story" DLC, and smart money's on an elf-related one and Starkhaven.

I'd forgotten about the "Exalted March" thing that was hinted at a while ago. Hopefully it's an expansion in addition to the other DLCs. Legacy and MotA seem to have done well enough to justify it.

This is my theory:

Wildervale DLC (elven themed) followed by Est.watch DLC (pirate themed) and the game's story will get wrapped up (Starkhaven, Cumberland, and Acts IV & V) in an Exalted March expansion sometime before or after the release of Mass Effect 3.

I'm hoping for at least one more. Something to do with Leliana most likely. Escpecially after that strange stare down between her and Tallis.

I imagine something post-game, probably involving Cassandra finding Hawke. Maybe including Sebastian's whole "bringing wrath on Kirkwall" thing.

Oh, I'm not saying the DLC would be about Sebastian. Just that he would get a special bit of extra content and/or relevance in the same way Aveline, Isabela, Anders, Varric & your Sibling did. They've already teased Starkaven on the tshirts after all.

I'd like to know how many so I know how long I should wait to play my 'ultimate playthrough'. I'd rather wait so I know I can do everything in the one campaign and so that all bugs/glitches which could/will be caused by DLCs are patched.

Estimated arrival times are scary though, I guess. They are avoided like the plague.

I'm tentatively subscribing to the 2 more theory, but I don't want to get my hopes up. The more (quality) story DLC the better!

I think it's likely that we'll get one story DLC in December and one in February - that way they'd have everything released before Mass Effect 3 comes out. Early December is more likely than late December due to the imminent arrival of The Old Republic

It would be mighty big of Bioware to actually do all this for DA2; a game I imagine they'll be moving on from sometime soon and to do it all before ME3 comes out.

A re-worked Dragon Age '2.0' plus an expansion would be pretty sweet though, so I agree there.

Since I found some interesting files in (Legacy): The Shriek Assassins called Howlers were reinstated to the world of Dragon Age 2. Their models are in Legacy, but do not appear in the adventure. I guess bioware will use them for a later DLC.

I took the stare as them being past lovers that parted awkwardly
I hope we don't have a Leliana DLC, she was origins.

I'd like a Sebastian and Elf DLC like someone suggested
and perhaps another Hawke family central one.

Out of MotA and Legacy, I much preferred Legacy. So something on par with that please!
After all, wasn't DA2 supposed to be the story of Hawke and their rise to power?
MotA really isn't much to do with Hawke. Much more to do with the Qun and the unrest in future Thedas.

I just wanna say that IMO the only thing that needs really altered about the plot is the ending, and Act 3 needs a bit more story/side quest padding.

Thats it.

If an expansion "changed" the ending from the pointless choiceless ending to actually having a real choice that has a real affect. Or at least felt like it meant something.

My ending would have gone as follows...

Both Orsino and Meredith are being pretty gung ho and unreasonable in respect of each other and their respective camps; but both treat Hawke with respect and attempt to explain their positions through the game which gives rise to the Templars V Mages choice.

My belief was that the choice should decide which of the two will turn out to be the big bad of the game, which of the two will be possessed by the Lyrium-Idol-Made-Into-A-Weapon.

Siding with the Templars (for whatever reason) will result in Orsino having purchased and turned the idol into his staff, result in him being possessed, and result in him using extensive blood magic in order to defeat Hawke, Meredith, and the Templars.
He will perhaps have at some point implanted a demon into Ser Cullen, or perhaps one of Meredith's other senior Templars. This Templar will become an abomination at the Final Battle and assasinate Meredith before helping Orsino.
Siding with the Mages will result in Meredith being the possessed one with the similar to vanilla ending; but to account for Orsino not going mad and blood magey perhaps a Mage similar to Keili from DAO will turn on him in support of the templars and kill him (ya know surprise attacks can get even the most powerful of characters) and then going onto the traditional back flippy battle with Meredith.

This results in pretty much the same ending but at least gives the feeling/illusion that what Hawke did matterred, that his/her choices counted for something even if he/she was only reactionary.

I think if they did an expansion that did as you suggested, and did what I suggested to the ending; and perhaps liberally added quests to Act 2 and Act 3 (perhaps added an Act 4 where Hawke is Viscount of Kirkwall) then the game would just great.

I'd pay for it.
