I always had a hard time thinking which one was funnier. Most of the banters in both games were priceless, such as the ones with Varric and Oghren. I wonder what would happen if they got together...

If Varric and Oghren had a discussion, Thedas would implode.

Heh, both games had plenty of humor and banter in them. Specifically if you can download one of the mods that makes them trigger more often, sorry console gamers. Almost all of the main characters have funny things to say to each other, or just general commentary. I think it's probably nearly a tie when humor is in question.

I'd have to agree with those who say DA2, DAO's lack of voice significantly hampered the Warden's ability to be funny (there's only one that sticks with me, "You just have to hold on really tight with your feet [so you don't fall up into the sky].") The bulk of the humor consequently had to come from companions and other characters. In that respect I'd say it's on pretty much the same level as DA2, same team and all, but since DA2 improves as far as the protagonist goes, overall I'd say DA2 comes out ahead.

DA2 was better when it comes to humor. If nothing else Varric had some really funny dialogues.

Origins had Sten.
Therefore Origins was funnier.

DA2. That game had far too much humour, but it was still funnier.

DA2 definately. You get to be the funny one for a change instead of letting everyone else get the laughs. And it gets even better once you add Varric and Isabella into the mix. Also it had 'The Long Patrol,' and more recently, the bee scene.

I'm also inclined to say DA2, because of snarky Hawke.

"At least it can't get any worse. Today, anyway. It's pretty late."

Origins had its moments, but I'd have to give the nod to DA2, especially when playing as a sarcastic Hawke. Being a smart**** myself, I could relate.

Origins, as the humor in it didn't feel as forced as it did in DAII.

DA2 was just a meme factory and the humour felt contrived.

The most amusing remark I found in DA2 is Hawke's own remark, "Oh how I hate being an imaginary character in someone else's world."

It really explain how I feel about Hawke and/or story/segregation. Yet I still can't understand why BioWare insist on using this **** storytelling when they obviously knew the impact on some players like me.

This, this, this.

Sarcastic Hawke + Varric + Isabela = Best thing ever.

I'm with the DA2 crowd. While there were several moments during DA:O that made me laugh, I was nearly in tears for much of DA2's party banter. The snark and sarcasm was in fine form all around.

(Though perhaps I am biased in this assessment since I do love snark.)

Hard to make a decision since I found DA:O better in general. Also I think DA:O's humor was more subtle. And both games made me laugh ... or smile at least, at times. So I'd call it even.
