My Mass Effect 2 saves have been corrupted, so whenever I start the game with these saves in the save folder, the game crashes. Does anyone know a way to fix corrupted saves, or am I screwed and have to start all over again?

Where did it happen to corrupt at? omega? sometimes if you try to load a save that is 'corrupted', you have to try it a few times. It will normally work by the third. This is actually because the games crashes at that particular spot while calculating the paragon/renegade scores.

It happened during the first encounter at the least area on Horizon. I died, and then the game crashed. And now I can't start the game without it crashing (it crashes right before I get to the menu), and long as I have those saves in my saving folder. If I remove them, the game works as normal - just without my saves.

did you try 3 starts with the bad file still in? This is not my area of expertise - its just an idea - mine had dome that and it finally backed itsself up to the point where I could run it

Get rid of the autosave, and also possibly the quicksave as well. You should then be able to resume from one of the manual saves.
