I saw a thread like this in the Origins section before, so thought I'd do one here.

< This one I named Marsh, after a character in one of my favourite books, who ends up having no control over his life and gets forced into horrible situations. It seemed appropriate for Hawke.  

I named my main Hawke Urthemiel, after the Old God/Archdemon. I liked the idea of a connection between Hawke and the Warden. And why not? I've had others named after Old Gods, as well as Andraste, and one named Rue for this profile.

Oh, that's really pretty! Aaleel too. I'm generally bad at names, which is why I take them from the lore instead.

Jacia. I always name my characters Jacia (Singer, if a last name is needed). Normally she's an elf though, 120 years old. Anyway, I found this name YEAAAARS ago in the nwn 1 name generator. Fell in love right after I found it :3 ♥

I usually go for Ereianne for my first character, but Hawke' image didn't play through. Now it's named Barbara.

Flynn Hawke is my Witty swashbucking Duelist.

His name is a reversal of a character named 'Hawkins Flynn' I played in Dark Age of Camelot. Who in turn was got his name from Errol Flynn and Jim Hawkins (Treasure Island)

My Hawke's name is Caroline Denise or just Carrie.

Why? Actually I don't even know. I usually choose a name for my character, before playing the game. If the name is appropriate for my character in this game, I use it

Why? Same reason I named my Shepard John. OCD and a lack of imagination.

At first I named him Maverick but I couldn't role-play him as my character and completely abandoned him before the Deep Road Expedition on my first play-through. After that I couldn't care less. I just stick with their default Garret and Marian since they are BioWare's character anyway. Not mine. So why do I need to bother?
