I called my male sarcastic Hawke Yussarian. Pretty fitting after i have read Catch 22 and thinking of all the s...t you have to go through in Kirkwall.
Plus it such a cool name btw
What did you name your Hawke, and why?

I'm pretty uncreative with my names
Two Marians
One Maria
Jo: shortened version of Joey; which is a baby kangaroo. Hawke hops from one thing, to another, with no clear direction. Hence the name Jo

Edwin, Garrett and Loke.
Edwin for the mage because I love Baldurs Gate, Garrett because it's the default and it sounds nice - Loke for my latest rogue since he's the norse God of mischief.
The dog has been named Minsc (Baldurs Gate again) on multiple occasions and Freke, too. (Norse myth, again.)

My current Hawke is a female rouge named Kiria. I was thinking up a name from a "what you name if Shepard and Liara had a daughter" type discussion or thread here and I liked the sound of it and decided to go with it, for a female Hawke, you know just for the hell of it.

My first Hawke was named Zaeed. Why? Just because.
I think my next one will be William.

I... have a tiny crush on Robin Hood, so I made a male archer named after him. Every night, he weeps into his pillow for a feathered hat, but doesn't get one. Oh, the humanity!
I also have two mage ladies called Cassidy and Moira. The former because I feel it's a strong name well suited for my smart-mouthed, tomboyish Hawke and the latter because I for some reason associate the name with dark-haired women.

Named mine Everett, cause its my middle name, and I have trouble getting into a RPG character with having some sort of personal connection with them, And its close to Garret, the default name, I think Garret and Everett Hawke is pleasing to the Ear

What's a good name for female rogue Hawke? Marian is so matronly-sounding...

In the order they were created....
Jenna (Rogue), Vivian (Mage), Áine (Warrior).
Kysa (Mage) and Brenna (Rogue) have been made but haven't really been played.
I always try to come up with names that mentally (to me) feel right for their class and/or personality. For this, I often either wind up re-using names a lot, or coming up with new ones all the time. The above are all new (to my usage) aside from Kysa.
Thanks for this. I love seeing the names people come up with.

Tercel, for my camp warrior, it's the name of a male hawk...so you know puns. I called my mage Kree because I figured it sounded neat and my rogue Dathomyr because it sounded so fantasy he should have had randomly pointed ears.

I try to come up with my own names though I did use Garret and Marian once. The others were named as follows:
1rst Hawke: Samara (yeah yeah, I named her after my online self)
2nd Hawke: Kozanna (A mage needed something ethereal and soft but not too prissy)
3rd Hawke: Marian (Another rogue because they're so much fun!)
4th Hawke: Garret (A male mage as gung-ho anti-Chantry as Anders)
5th Hawke: Danika (A warrior and Templar groupie whose distrust of magic deepens to hate after All That Remains)
6th Hawke: Ereni (Another mage because I abandoned my other mages and still need to finish DA2 as a mage)
Interesting note: I've used Kozanna, Samara, Danika, Elissa and now Ereni (new Dalish archer) in DAO as well. And I have one male warrior I named Drake from Origins... I play too much DA, methinks... O_O

The name of my main Hawke is Leland - yes he´s named after Leandra.
To be fair and have a family member carry the fathers name the dog is named Malcolm, called "Mal" (which is also a reference to Malcolm Reynolds from "Firefly").
It´s a joke from Leandra.
