One of the things I just remembered that is nagging me is that in the ending of Dragon Age 2 Leliana and Cassandra are trying to find Hawke + Warden.

Yet in Mark of the Assassin Leliana is right there. Not hidden or anything just hey wassup bye.

She doesnt mention they are looking for Hawke, need Hawke to stop Mage + Templar war or anything.

Shes just all hey Tallis we are both crazy zealot spies! I love the Chantry you love the Qunari, K bye!

Was this even taken into consideration by Bioware or is this just them shipping that Mark of the Assassin is supposed to be done before the ending?

The DLC happens before the endgame, so she isn't looking for Hawke yet.

Timewise it occurs somewhere after On the Loose as the De Laucet woman refers to our actions over Emile. However, if you haven't yet met Sister Nightingale, Tallis will recognise her as Leliana and she will not recognise the Warden. If you play it after you complete the game, you must assume that this is being told as a flash back to an earlier event.

After the DLC you find an entry from Hawke's journal in the estate mentioning that it's been a year since Hawke saw Tallis. The initiating "Mark of the Assassin" quest that's completed by starting the DLC mentions something like "remember Chateau Haine? The memory is still as vivid as ever." And as has already been said all DLC is considered to take place before the endgame (that is, The Final Straw).

Simple answer is like others said both main dlc so far are considered to happen before end game. Your able to play it post game though, because it would be unfair to those who already finished the game before the dlc was available.

Would be nice, but I expect they won't be fixing that bug.
