I forgot to add the fact that while Shepard will show his/her vulnerability s/he will not be portrayed as "war-weary."

"I want Shepard's vulnerability to come out, though not every player will choose to experience it."
- Mac Walters (New Yorker interview w/ Jennifer Hale)

"Let her go!"  - Shepard (also from the NY interview)

Kids are really what make you feel old.  My oldest is 6.  In just 10 years, I'll be 45, and she'll be driving Image IPB

Her brother will just be hitting 10 though, when he's 16 I'll be really old, lol.

No way, based on your pic I'd say you're at least a decade younger.

At least.

My eldest will be 17 next month. I'm convinced kids speed up the aging process for their parents. :D

Perhaps might explain why I look younger than my age, hehe. No kids -- no children screaming at me into old age :lol:

@kaiser yeah I know... I get that a fair bit. Just a combination of luck on the genetics roll (Dad is similar to me.. 53 but appears no older than 40) and my pigtails... they're deceptive... womenz.. we're sneaky like that ;)

Only when I watch my six year old strut her stuff when she dances does it really hit me.  Her mother had to be a good dancer, didn't she.  I swear I get a new grey hair everytime that kid hears a beat.  Image IPB

Other than that, yeah, I feel older every year now.

At least I get to be young while I goof off, someone needs to make my daughters stuffed animals talk in funny voices Image IPB

:o You're a cool dad! My dad does the same thing! (in fact he did it not 20 minutes ago while at my place.. right before he threw the stuffed bear at my head for beating him in checkers, mwahaha).

LOL Hathur, that's awesome.  My daughter definately loves the time.  Since she could talk, she would name all of her stuffies.  Her favorite is this ugly little yellow rabbit she calls Gunnis.  To quote her mother, he's well loved.  I hope we still have fun like that when she's older.

I had Chess and Martial Arts to share with my Dad, and a shared passion for performance cars.  No stuffies allowed for young men.  Image IPB  Ninjitsu in the back yard optional, but encouraged.  Image IPB

I wish I could see your deviant art link, but alas, I am at work; and that site is very blocked here.  I'll view it when I get home though.

I'd like to have the option for some emotional responses. Playing Shepard the relentless undead cyborg gets boring.

I'm not saying I disagree necessarily but what I just bolded just pretty much sounds awesome lol.

Yes Shepard would likely be far more likely to be more emotional especially during a war with the Reapers. This is the type of war that from a conventional stand point the Galaxy cannot win only survive.

You know in real life, hardened marines are asked to express their thoughts and emotions to a councillor after particularly stressful tour or mission. Why? It helps them stay sane.

Shepard needs it more than anyone. This isn't Gears of War.
We play as human beings, not an emotionless brick.

<picks up microphone>

Allow me to summarize how this thread will proceed... based purely on all its previous interations from the past:

"Shepard needs to cry! Show s/he cares!"
"Shepard is a badass killing machine! Feelings are for the weak!"
"Shepard's not a robot! Show that s/he is human!"
"Shapard is no whining baby! He bottles his/her emotions and uses it to fuel fires of endless destruction!"
"Legion has more emotion that Shepard! That's not right!"
"A leader can't show weakness! Shepard has to hide or mask his / her emotions to lead!"

There... I just saved you all 15 minutes of pointless arguing. You're welcome.

<drops microphone, struts out>

And yet the arguing will persist. It's the BSN. I thought you'd have learnt this by now.
