 I have posted in th Bring Down the Sky thread without luck.

I can now install BDTS easy peasy but a new issue has arisen.

As of now, Pinnacle Station is not loaded up to m copy of Mass Effect. Before the Steam/EA split both DLC worked just fine but now something has gone wrong.

Origin Beta recognizes that I have Pinnacle Station (it even gives me a registration code) but I am unable to do anything with it. Neither can I re-install it as it just launches the Add/Remove program window and I cannot find it in there.

I have contacted EA support on this, heres the transcript.

"Hi, my name is Pushkar. How may I help you?
ME: I am unable to make the Pinnacle Station
downloadable content work for Mass effect. What can I do to fix it? 

Pushkar: I sincerely regret any inconvenience
caused due to this issue.

Pushkar: May I have the exact error message you
are getting?

ME: I have Pinnacle Station available on Origin
but the content itself appears not be loaded into the game. 

Pushkar: Thank you for providing information.
Please allow me some time , while I check it for you.

Pushkar: I need you to uninstall the DLC and re
download it from Origin.

ME: Okay, one moment. 

ME: Can you lead me thorugh where I can find the
DLC files to uninstall them? 

Pushkar: Please refer the link in order to manual
uninstall the game.

ME: It is not there. 

ME: The game is not in the EA folder 

Pushkar: You need to download game from origin in
order to access it .Do you have origin installed on your PC ?

ME: I have Origin installed on my PC. I initially
purchased Mass effect through Steam. When Origin released, I was unable to
access the Pinnacle Station content. 

Pushkar: You need to login in Origin application
and the game is under “my games “ tab 

ME: I have selected Mass Effect:Pinnacle Station
in the Origin games tab. 

Pushkar: You need to download the game by clicking
on the download button .

ME: Where is this button on the interface? 

Pushkar: It is below the game “ready to download “
.

ME: This button is not present. The option I have
with Mass Effect: Pinnacle Station is to Play Now. When I press play, I launch
the Mass Effect Configuration window. 

Pushkar: Okay.

Pushkar: I suggest you to clear your cache of
Origin DM by following the given steps. please login in Origin DM and ... 1.
Select the Settings option 2. Click on the “Delete All Game Installers” option
3. Click on “Accept” to complete the process. 

ME: This is done. 

ME: What next? 

Pushkar: Now please re login gain and you will get
the install button.

ME: The install button did not appear. 

Pushkar: May I know what option are you getting ?

ME: The same as before. When I hover over Mass
Effect Pinnacle Station, it darkens and the "Play" symbol appears. If
I were to right click, I can select Play Now, Game Details, Add to Favorites,
and Uninstall. 

Pushkar: I would suggest you to uninstall the game
and then re install it .

ME: Where should the Pinnacle Station files be
found in the Mass effect folder? 

Pushkar: You need to to uninstall by using
uninstall,button.

ME: This brings up the Add/Remove software window.
I am unable to locate Pinnacle Station in here. Any clues? 

Pushkar: Click on the Start button. Select All
Programs. Next select Electronic Arts. Select the game in which you wish to
uninstall. Click on the Uninstall file for your game.

ME: The only thing in the Electronic Arts folder
is the EA Download manager. 

Pushkar: It means game is not downloaded on your
PC . Please manual the origin and then re download the game after re installing
it.

ME: The game is downloaded to my PC through Steam. 

Pushkar: Then you need to contact the steam if you
whic to play your game from steam client . You could also give a try to manual
uninstall of origin and then download it from there .

Pushkar: If the issue persists, you can contact us
again. We will be happy to assist you.

ME: Ok, Thank you for your time, 

'ME' disconnected ('Concluded by End-user').

i have reinstalled Mass Effect and good news! The Pinnacle Station DLC can now Download and try install! But now its says: Mass Effect is not found. Please re-install the from the original source and try again.

Did you run ME1 after installing from Steam?
Steam does not actually finish installing the game until first run, when it finally creates the necessary entries in the Windows registry. Once those entries are in place, the DLC should be able to find them and install correctly.

Oh for crying out loud.
Now that I have ran Mass effect1 once on Steam, I opened up Origin again and now the options to download and Install are gone!!!!

I've got a smilar issue, had to re-install windows and lost my steam folder in the process, got downloaded Mass Effect from Steam ran it, installed BDtS went to grab Pinnacle from Origin and it won't let me download it because according to Origin it's already installed when it isn't and I can't re-download it grrr.

Contact EA support to get them to sort it out.

Shut down Origin. Navigate to your common/MassEffect folder, into the DLC folder, then delete the DLC_Vegas folder. Restart Origin and it will download.
