Hi All,

The Mass Effect 3 demo will be coming soon and you can get early access to play. There
will be multiple opportunities to qualify for early access that will be
announced as we get closer to its release so stay tuned! The
first method of securing early access is via redemption of the Online Pass
included in new copies of Battlefield 3.  We will be updating the www.masseffect.com FAQ shortly with more details so check back.

To be honest, I believe EVERYONE should have access to the Demo at its' earliest time. I am not a fan of jumping through hoops (like DA2) to actually feel like a "VIP" client/consumer.

I am sorry to put a "blue vibe" on this but I really am tired how people (who buy your games) get treated in return.

That is evidence that EA has sunk its claws deep into Bioware's flesh.

Rather, that is evidence that EA likes to market games that it publishes.

They already failed in my book. I refuse to use that hunk of sh!t Origin. If ME3 is using it well then they lost $120. Would have bought both day one, but no.

Uh, I pre-ordered BF3 through Origin. Will I get this access or it's only for the physical copies?

Is this for all platforms? I'm a PC gamer, and I was so excited about the Need for Speed: The Run demo only to find out it's only for Xbox 360 and PS3... bummer...

In response to Computer_God91

I competely understand you opinion about Origin, however, I hate to say it, but Origin is no different than Steam. I don't see why this is a barrier to purchase Mass Effect 3. I was required to install Steam after I purchased Left 4 Dead 2 at GameStop. While I don't necessarily care for Steam and how it requires you to be online to start, it didn't stop me from enjoying the game. The only reason Steam is not as highly criticized as Origin is that Steam is popular and offers a wide selection of games. EA is only attempting to compete with Valve, which, believe it or not, is natural in a consumer market. So I hope EA succeeds with its Origin program and offers gamers another venue to purchase downloadable titles, which will help Steam improve too.

Oh, and not to get too far off topic, RyuGuitarFreak: I believe you will receive a code in your e-mail account that gives you access to the online pass. If it really is just for physical copies, just contact EA about the situation. Unlike what many believe, EA is a reputable company and should solve any problems you are having.

Pfft. I'm still skipping BF3.

Guess I'll withhold judgement until seeing the other options though.

You already insulted me with Dragon Age 2 and then released over-priced DLC without an apology or any fixes to the game and it still sucks as does the DLC... Now you want to pull this?

I'm not getting BF3, I'll rent it for whatever campaign it has and then throw it back at gamefly. I've supported your sci-fi venture... I'd appreciate you not let EA encroach upon your own games not associated with crap-tacular crap (except Dragon Age 2 which is).

---

Also why do we want a demo for an RPG? It's an RPG.
