Heh.

You got it all wrong. If we're going to set up a Mass Hammer 4K universe...

Morinth is the Goddess-Empress of Mankind, to whom a thousand souls are sacrificed each day to further her power. TIM is the High Lord of Terra. Shepard, because Shepard CAN SURVIVE ON PURE STRENGTH OF WILL ALONE, DAMN IT, is The Consort, the only one to survive mating with the Goddess-Empress of Mankind.

Except, you know, Shepard doesn't survive.

Wow, this thread is so off-topic....man, I wish I knew more about 40k so I could participate a bit.

Anyway, Asari reproduction doesn't make any sense at all. What the OP suggested would actually be pretty cool, but oh well, it is not to be.

I also think that in order for asari to connect their nervous system to the partner they would have to reach under the partners skin with some sort of tube or something that would plug into the nervous system, I have no idea how it can be telepathically. I don't think we have telepathy in ME only mass effect fields.

Asari reproduction reminds me some fishes which can use other species milt to "activate" their eggs  but the offspring produced are clones of the female. I found from wiki that its something called gynogenesis http://en.wikipedia....sis#Gynogenesis

Kind of like asari huh? Without the embracing eternity- and nervous system-stuff.

We already have the technology to control computers with neural inputs gathered from the surface of the skin, so the Asari thing isn't that odd as long as it requires physical contact of some sort.

Question: In ME do you think it would be possible for an embryo to be scientifically crafted to be a hybrid of human and quarian physiology? Let me be clear, I'm not talking about half and half, I'm talking about key aspects selected from one race to add to the other. Imagine a quarian returning from pilgrimage with a child that will never need to fear microscopic life forms in any way. A child who's children will also be free, until one day all quarians will be free from life in the suit.

Different protien base of their physiology, so I'm going to go with "no" on this one.

Why would you even want to create such an abombination?

We could always ask the Reapers, they seem to be good at that sort of thing.

As quarians are, no. With their protein estructure it would be easier to get a quaria-turian hybrid. Mass Effect doesn´t seem to go with Lego genetics, so I doubt even if quarians and humans had similar proteins would make hybrds possible.

This.

I hate the asari species concept for its pseudo-mystical crap. I wonder if asari need intelligence in their mates to reproduce. I mean if human DNA isn't too foreign, a cow would work, too, right?

I'd like to take this opportunity to suggest an alternative race just as plausible.

The Manari are a gender-neutral race of 7ft tall, husky mediterranean tanned, muscular and well-endowned anthropods who only happen to look like gods-among-men. But though they have male-gender words and concepts they have no concept of gender, and use their psychic powers to protect the rest of the galaxy as a sort of chivalrous knights and samurai (who can never be bothered to wear anything that would hide those washboard abs).

They have the special racial ability to mate with any being of any other race or species, and impregnate their partner regardless of species, gender, or any lack of skin contact. After 9 monthes, the child will always come out as Manari. But since they aren't male, having only one gender, this totally isn't a gay m-preg species.

The Manari, who live up to a thousand years and only get more toned and fit as time goes by, are the largely selfless, noble minded warrior-philosophers of the galaxy who bestow both their wisdom and their protection on the other species, all of whom find Manari attractive.

Since you're posting an image that doesn't even apply, I'm guessing it's both for you.

I'd like to take this opportunity to suggest an alternative race just as plausible.

The Manari are a gender-neutral race of 7ft tall, bronze-toned, muscular and well-endowned anthropods who only happen to look like gods-among-men. Dude, don't question the abs that are constantly oiled by cross-species pheromes.

You may be better off replacing "bronze toned" with "hunky mediterranean tan". It makes you sound more snarky.
