Stop reminding me of the worst part of Splice. The bald headed hybrid chick (women who choose to be bald choose to look like uncle Fester as far as I'm concerned) Turns into a male version of itself and rapes its mother. And I paid money to watch that piece of s**t movie. Don't make an already ridiculous race even more ridiculous.

Manari reproduction sounds awful. It's like a parasite that can be put inside any organism to grow. =D
Other than that, a good concept. But if the baby of a Manari is always a Manari and a baby of the Asari is always an Asari, what is a baby of an Asari and Manari?

Commander Shepard.

Dammit, I had successfully blocked that movie out of my mind until you mentioned it by name.  :(

Nah, it was one of those naturally forgettable movies. Close this thread and the memory will slip away quickly enough.

To recap: Asari reproduction makes no sense. It has a lame explanation, because the asari are there do be sexy. They suck. It's what they're good for.

Twins, one Asari one Manari.

Seeing as my ME2 partner is Liara with my male (default) Shepherd they will most likely have Asari girls, if they do have children in ME3.

But I was wondering, what are the chances that Bioware will throw a spanner in to the works? What if Shepherd and Liara had a male Asari with human anatomical features. I mean, is it impossible? Is it just the sort of thing Bioware might do? - Shep' is a special case, reborn and such.

In real life one day my genetics will affect my child's development, The thought that none of the father's genetics affected the offspring directly would be depressing (if that were the real world).

But like real life, we get what we're given. Asari girls (99% chance) it is.

What does 'Shep is special' have to do with the fact that, well, nothing of Shepard's goes into Liara?

There is no entry into Liara? there must be if there are children who are either laid (eggs) or born (uterus). But given the significance of Shep in the ME storyline, don't you think he/she and Liara could have a special child, one who is more than the usual blue baby girl biotic?

No. Shepard has no special powers that could somehow create a male asari. The idea is even more ridiculous than the idea of Shepard having children with Tali or Garrus.

Asari are self-fertilized. The partner just 'randomizes', but has no physical role in procreation. Heck, Asari mating doesn't even need skin contact. This (part of) why they can conceive with any gender of any race... regardless of things to be entered.

Asari don't have human-analogous sex organs. They have a birth canal, but no basis to have human-female-esque vagina. Sometimes a hole is just a hole.

This makes the love scenes in ME3 sounds quite boring. Liara and Shepherd hold hands, "blah blah eternity" "I'm pregnant now...but I have a meeting in 5 minutes"... :/

Asari get less attractive the more you think about them. They also probably don't think Human sex is natural.

Like, 'Shepard? Why are you putting your tongue in there? It does nothing for me, except to pass water.'

But hey, she's got boobs, and a hole, and isn't that what most people require of a woman lesbian love interest?

A capacity to orgasm whilst engaging in activity which gives the other person an orgasm? Whilst looking almost entirely human and being capable of at least human level thinking/conversation/etc.?

Sounds like reasonable qualities in a love interest

You know the asari probably have surgeries that can make their child launchers more appealing to their mate of choice, and more fun to use as a sex organ. Come to think of it, they could also get "sex changes" that way. Not just space ****s, but tranny space ****s O_o

Well, I bet someone could make a dog orgasm, and make themselves orgasm, but I'm not sure that making the dog orgasm would be 'hot' for them.

Though that really wouldn't apply in the Asari case, since Humans are the guilt-free pureblood sex fantasy. Even if half of them are the unholy cross of an Asari and Hanar.

I just had an image of an Asari (Liara?) trying to dress up as a Human male.

...

I should go.

Well I don't want to speculate about shape or function, though it does sound like a very utilitarian experience. Actually the more people talk about it the less it sounds like that which we are used to. I think I (male Shep) might just find a human female character and do it the old fashioned way.

I support more animal pics. I thought that was the most enjoyable part of this thread.
