To be honest, I believe EVERYONE should have access to the Demo at its' earliest time. I am not a fan of jumping through hoops (like DA2) to actually feel like a "VIP" client/consumer.
I am sorry to put a "blue vibe" on this but I really am tired how people (who buy your games) get treated in return.

Hi All,
The Mass Effect 3 demo will be coming soon and you can get early access to play. There
will be multiple opportunities to qualify for early access that will be
announced as we get closer to its release so stay tuned! The
first method of securing early access is via redemption of the Online Pass
included in new copies of Battlefield 3. We will be updating the www.masseffect.com FAQ shortly with more details so check back.

That is evidence that EA has sunk its claws deep into Bioware's flesh.

As long as the demo becomes public in January, I'm good.
Me too. I won't buy a game I would never play just for the demo, but I'm sure that won't be the only criteria for access.

This guy speaks the truth. And normally I'd be furious to use beta testing to sell other games...but...its Mass Effect 3. I cant be rational when it comes to getting my hands on early playing time. I just...gotta....have it. Or as the meme goes:

Thx! Well, it better be possible in ME3 demo. Would be very good and smart feature to implement.Vertigo_1 wrote...

What, you expect them to market with the choice/consequence part of the game? Surely you jest.IsaacShep wrote...

Question for devs - is the code restricted to the platform you purchase BF3 from? I play ME on the console (thus would like to play the demo on the 360 if possible), but plan on buying BF3 for the PC.
I think that's confirmed... Somewhere... You'd have to scower the half a dozen Demo threads now populating the front page, but it's confirmed.

A nice gesture would have been to give the first access to those who have your games registered, instead of it to those who buy a game from a completely different genre.

Who thought it was a good idea to tie the demo for a third person role playing game to a first person shooter?
Marketing, I assume. I'm sure more exposure for ME3 and the possibility of more people buying the game is the entire point of the ploy.
