jatinlovers, I have to agree with you on this.

XSpectreGreyX, you just said it. As fans and customers, we are entitled to reliable info, but when they announce a demo and then fail to give us a specific release date despite announcing one two months ago, how is that info reliable? - Correct, it's not.
Besides, we're talking about customers here. They have to be aware of the fact that keeping (potential) customers waiting and pissing them off with non-reliable info means eventually losing them, i.e. losing people whom they depend on at the end of the day. It's not about whether we've "earned" the right of a demo. It's about them attending to their duties as a good company after already broadly announcing the demo, which is precisely what jatinlovers said. You just don't stir people's expectations like that and then aren't heard of when even the announcement of the relase date is is overdue for more than a goddamn month. Then keep quiet from the start or at least explain themselves.
Doing what they're doing (meaning, toying with the customers) is unprofessional and, considering that the people whom they're pissing off are the very people that buy their games (or, well, don't)... it's unwise. -_-

I agree too. I've been waiting for the demo now since November, heres to hoping it does show up in Janurary though.

Any news on the program for non BF3 owners to get early access. I've heard none and Google is useless.

I really do not understand this mystery about the release .
Is a DEMO , not a full game or any imba  DLC .
I think isn't too hard to give a date ... , is the minimum we deserve since the huge delay of the first game release date
(And ya know it )
we dont deserve anything, they arent obliged to release a demo at all.
you stupid ?

ofc we deserve , as customers ( buyers of original product )  , we deserve have true information about announcements and stuff

They was who said we will have demo , so , as a competent company ofc they are obliged to release it ;)
With grammar like that, I don't think you should be questioning anyone's intelligence.
English isn't my main language , so maybe you are right and im not so smart because i can't understand what my intelligence has to do with my grammar

Anyways......

XSpectreGreyX wrote...

We aren't buyers of the product, it hasn't released yet. We are entitled to information and for that information to be reliable, but they can change it any time they want, as is their right. Also, just because they said a demo would be released, it doesn't mean they have to release it. Companies change things all the time, look at Duke Nukem Forever. Look at The Last Guardian. Look at Half-Life 3. Things are subject to change.
I know ME3 hasn't released yet , I was talking about whole mass effect as a product , as well , I was talking about
MORAL obligation of a good company , I don't care about Duke Nuken , Half-Life etc ..

Can they change whatever they want ? of course

Should they? i think reliable information isn't longer reliable if u change it every month

do you get the point of MY OPINION , or you go to blame my grammar again ?
If someone's grammar is worse than someone of low intelligence e.g a 6th grader, it is generally assumed that that person is not very intelligent, although I didn't know that English isn't your main language, so sorry.

Anyway, purchasing a previous game in the franchise does not entitle you to anything, you payed for the product, you got it. "Original Product" does not refer to an entire franchise, hence why it is not a plural.

Reliable information, to me, is defined as being correct at the time. Looking at information given 2 months ago and still expecting it to be correct (as in not updated) then finding out it has changed and complaining isn't really reasonable, to me. But then again, it has ONLY been two months.

One of the first things they taught me when studying linguistics is that someone's linguistic skills are irrelevant in determining their intelligence.

XSpectreGreyX, again - it's not about fans being "entitled" to anything. It's about the companies putting their money where their mouth is after broadly announcing a demo and making their fans go nuts about it. Based on their reactions, you can see their high expectations and the higher expectations are, the more disappointed and pissed the people are going to be. You think they don't have any obligations towards their fans and customers because they're the ones whom we get the games from? - Well, wrong. As a good company, if they want to keep their customers satisfied (and thus, paying for their games), they do. Like it or not.

Reliable info stops being reliable when things that are announced are long overdue. All we have even after two months is them saying that a specific date for the demo is TBA. How is that info, which is not up-to-date anymore and proved to be wrong in the end, reliable?
"Only" two months? Well, that is a matter of standpoint, huh? Funnily enough, most of the fans I've seen think different. If the demo or the game were delayed for two months, that would be different. But long overdue news, being delayed for two months? - Hmmm, I don't know. -_-

Where's the F***** demo Casey, huh, what time is? Bioware is like the bad parent that make promises to their kid, then blow them off when the kid says " Daddy when are we going to the park?"

*As the dad puts down the Bud Light and yells at the kid GTFO of here*

Am I having a flash back?

It wasn't announced in Novemeber, and it has been two months. I think people have a right to be impatient. There has been no word on this ever since the leak.

We deserve the beta because of what has not been delivered on at the time of the promise.
It's Januaray. I want to play. :c

You might want to slow down on the talk about things "we deserve".

Lol. Funny. Fans wouldn't be that impatient if the demo was already out like announced or there was at least some news regarding it. Last time we've heard something from BioWare was months ago, despite all their announcements.
Now seriously: What did you expect?

I expect a demo at some point. I could care less when unless it's after March 6th because by then I would have no use for it.

I didn't hint at your expectations regarding the demo, but the impatience of the fans and some going rabid about the lack of news, not to mention the demo itself. Hell, of course they are impatient.
And since some people here don't seem to concede the fans a right to the demo, I maintain that after BioWare broadly announced it and its release date, they have a right to at least know what's going on.

So by your logic if they release the demo 5 minutes before the game, you would be cool with that? So why even have a demo cool guy?

5 minutes? Not if it takes 5 minutes to download, unless I'm not going to a midnight release. If that's the case then sure, I'd be okay if the demo dropped 5 minutes before the game came out.

I play both actually. Although, I lean more towards the Paragon side of the spectrum more often than not.

BioWare--as a business--needs to remember three things:

1. Underpromise--overdeliver.

2. They need us--we choose them.

3. It's our money until it's their money.

Increasingly, their actions indicate they've forgotten these simple principles. They should brush up on them.

IMO, we will have to wait until the next week at the earliest. Even though the Mass Effect team is back from their holiday, an announcement of the release date will definitely be made by Bioware's PR branch or someone else from the office team... and they aren't back till January 9th :/
