Actually, no they aren't.

A lot of devs have been releasing demos AFTER their game comes out.

I've always been like... WTF? BUT ... when you think about it. It's not for the players they already know will buy their game. (most of us on this site) It's for the people who've never heard of it or aren't sure and want to try it out. 

They play they demo, they love it... and then are like, "wow! and the game is already out! *goes to store*"

Just curious, because I don't have time to look through 41 pages, did they ever announce the other option to getting early access? The first post said it'd be announced by early December.

@ladyofrivendell, first, cool name =D second, no, they haven't. Should imagine it might be announced with the early access date. But that's just my speculation

Well I am hoping they release it very soon, *wink* and they have something like they did with Dragon Age II demo and if they have so many downloads, we get some DLC for free.

Also would be nice for some official toolset would be nice too.

I am checking their site almost every few hours and its making me want to pull my hair out. Ouch!

i dont trust that mainly because i have no way of knowing that is an "official source" however this is an official source and it says january

I just had a horrible thought. If they release the demo way after the game comes out, they can say the alternate free way to get early access to the demo is to borrow your friend's copy of the game for a day.
