TBH, I'm sick of military shooters like BF and CoD, so many games coming out between now and December and I certainly won't be getting either.
It's good to see the SP demo won't be affected, I look forward to that.

I like playing Mass Effect on Xbox, but I'm getting BF3 for the PC. Does this mean that I will have to play the early access demo on the PC or will the access code allow me to play it on any platform?

Same here--preordered BF3 a while ago for PC but I literally bought my 360 for ME1; I defintiely would prefer to play the demo on the console, but as long as I get to try it out on any platform, I'm all for it

My question is, I play Mass Effect on my Xbox, because that's where my saves are, but I want to get the PC version of Battlefield because it will look much better on my PC, can I use my PC code to get demo access on my Xbox?

My only question right now is, can I buy BF3 on PS3 then get the demo for Xbox 360? I rather keep my Mass Effect stuff on my 360...
Since I asked the same question, I should point out this post from Jarrett Lee:

- if you are a BF3 owner who has redeemed online pass, you will have early access to the multiplayer section. This works across platforms because it is based on your EA account. So if you buy BF3 on PC, yes you can play the MP demo early on xbox 360 (as an example).

Dear EA and BioWare,
I suppose this means EA will be manipulating reviews for Mass Effect 3 as well, now, just like Battlefield 3? I mean, you're already pulling out all the stops with "exclusive" demos for repeat customers, and if I learned one thing in my marketing 101 class, it's that the best way to sell something, it's via underhanded business practices and payola. I can't wait to see those rows and rows of perfect 11/10 scores on Metacritic!
Sincerely,
Your Biggest Fan Ever
Lol they did it with DA2 also. Wouldn't surprise me.

I wonder if playing ME3 demo would unlock gears in the actual game like DA2 demo does. Given that N7 edition doesn't give you N7 rifle, maybe demo will unlock one for us, fingers crossed.
Than that would suck because I would like at least one weapon in the game that is N7 and can be accuried without need of demo or loginig into a website.

All players? Even xbox live silver?
I'm sure you'll be able to download and play the single player demo.
Multiplayer will require Xbox Live.

If the BF 3 beta is anything to go by, then I'll give it a miss.

Actually I feel I don't even want to play any demo's, especially for singleplayer. I don't want to spoil any story related parts and dialogue out of context, if I'm not going to be able to continue that all the way to the end.
So it would be entirely for the combat (SP and MP), which to be honest I also do not want to play out of context, never mind how fun it probably will be.
Yep, will most likely be giving this a miss.

Assuming BF3's online pass is the only requirement to access ME3's multiplayer component early on, does that mean one could technically purchase just that on Xbox Live/PSN for 10 bucks and play the online beta on day one?

Yes -
But that wont be the only way to get access. There will be other non-purchase methods designed specifically for our fans

1 will the sp demo be the same segment that was playable at conventions or something new
2 the mp demo stuff with bf is early access, so you will presumably still get access at some point later on regardless?
3 will the mp stuff be wiped b4 release of the game ? (i assume it would)

Totally didn't realize I would get access to this when I bought BF3. Added bonus! Woot.
This just keeps getting better and better, first they announce co-op, then a demo. I have already pre ordered BF3 and the N7 collectors edition. I love bonus stuff!

1. unlockable mini item dlcs are tedious and the stuff should really be in the game in the first place
2. (and most important) I don't want to play the demo. I preordered ME3 adn I want to play it as a whole, unspoiled. I really don't want to play the first chapter or whatever before I can play the whole game and I'd hate to miss out on extra items because of that
Otherwise, nice move with the demo. Not may devs/publisher do that kind of thing any more so I am sure it's great for people who want it. Thumbs up!
