Why is it that everyone seems to read the whole "early access" thing as meaning that owners of BF3 (and those given early access by those other as yet explained methods), will have access to the demo before everyone else.

The way I read it, the demo will be released to *everyone* at the same time - however unless you have been given early access (by whatever means) you will not be able to play the multiplayer version of the demo immediately, just the single player. Then after a delay, of a yet as unannounced, (sums up the whole demo saga tbh), time period the multiplayer aspect of the demo will be opened to everyone.

Well, BF3 Beta was announced just a few days before its release and the early access for preordering was 2 days. so i don't know why everybody believes that the announcement will be more than a week before release.

I want to play the demo as much as everyone else. However, please remember that Bioware & EA have to clear the demo with both Xbox 360 Market Place and Playstation Network before it goes live. Its not up to Bioware & EA when ME 3 launches on the perspective networks. Its because of this, that they cannot give a release date for the demo. I'm sure they would love to tell us, however due to agreements this is not possible. So let not blame them for a lack of communication when they can do nothing about it.

According to their twitter feed their site is struggling under heavy traffic - so I'm guessing the "maintenance" wasn't by choice.

Ofc if they released the PC version of the demo, people wouldn't be continuously reloading the site trying to find the link....

Update on the KoA demo for PC and PSN:

"For all those asking about when the PC and Playstation downloads will become available, we have no new information. We are simply waiting on the platforms to update and will keep this page informed on when the demo is live. Thanks for your patience and interest."

Straight from their Facebook page.

Seems we'll have to wait.

I really hope the demo does not require Origin. I mean, it's just a demo. Why'd you need Origin for a demo?

Then again, I already have Origin installed so that shouldn't be too much of a problem...

Origin isn't needed for the demo. that's been confirmed already.

i just finished it, and it was extremely average to me, maybe worth a rental, at least, but the camera is atrocious, really bad. unfortunately, there wasnt enough of the core story playable to really decide if it will be good story-wise, either. a few sidequests with some good voice acting and some REALLY bad voice acting (wolf man, im looking at you).
what i need to know is, do i need to keep the entire demo on my hard drive until me3 comes out, or can i go ahead and delete it?

I second this. Graphically, it feels very much like World of Warcraft. Not saying that's bad, by any means. The lighting and textures, while not incredible, are certainly not bad to look at. But story-wise, there just isn't really much there for me. I'm in free-roam mode now letting the timer tick down. Hopefully we won't need to keep it installed. I wouldn't think so, since it states in-game that the content is unlocked. I would think the "tokens" for the content would remain unlocked whether or not the demo remains on the hard drive.

Yes: feel free to purge your Hard Drive of the Demo once you're done

after a few of my friends lost their gears 3 beta unlocks after deleting it, im wary of deleting anything that has an unlock without a game save.
of course that beta also said DONT DELETE THE BETA.
ive searched around and found no answers.

Ok My insight on KoA demo is HORRIBLE so far. I was forced to restart the entire thing like 5 times now. Froze on me, Stopped when i was striking down a enemy and left my controller vibrating too much. And Loading crap never ends. Gameplay was ok but I never got the chance to escape the area. So basically I say so much for my ME3 offer if they dont fix this horrible demo
